  1. I'd love to see you guys again but it would have to be a late lunch since my fill is at 1:40 p.m. I definitely could do the soup bar at Sweet Tomatoes!

Jajajajaaaa "Sweet Tomatoes" that sounds great !!!!

Since there is not such a thing like a "p.m. restriction fill" I have to pass on that one, but if you guys get together, please let me know, John & I would looove to join and see you all again :D

Dawn, do you want me to show off my new jeans ? I'd do it even if it is 100°F :dirol:

  2. Oh Donna! What a though day that must have been. I'm glad Arabella is o.k. and doing better, poor thing!

True ... it is a lot of money - but sooo worth it ;)

(Our doggie had orthopedic surgery about 6 weeks ago and we paid about about the same)

We are all proud of you having such a strenght to stick with only one slim-a-bear ice cream bar =D>

  3. Hi Linda - here is the Salad Queen :D

I do have very good restriction until the evening, this is the time when my band is somehow getting loose

No matter how creative I get, fixing my salad (mostly Spinach or Iceberg with fresh mushrooms, cucumbers and peppers, beans, feta cheese etc.) I could eat probably a "normal" sized portion or even more. I always have my chicken/protein first but still, it doesn't keep me full for more than maybe 2-3 hrs. before I get kind of hungry again. That's because the salad is going down easier/quicker than the more solid foods.

But .... since being banded I am addicted to salad and I just have to have it ;)

  4. I have been very busy this past couple weeks and just about to catch up on all the posts ....

Anyways, I'm so happy for you that it turned out the way it did :D

For postponing your surgery date - look at it as a little more time to do the pre-op-diet

Good luck to you sweetie !!!

  5. I'd like to add my "kids" too ;) Our babies are rescue's and came into our home as 3-4 month old puppies/kitten:

JAZZY a.k.a. "Big Momma" - was rescued from a Pit Bull Fighting Organisation, used as a bait ...

JAKE has his girls in check - the breeder thought his fur was not fluffy enough to be "AKC" registered and just dumped him ...

MEPHISTO the snuggle bug - I just couldn't break my moms heart, so he stayed with my parents back in Germany ...

  6. Ute it was like I was craving Tuna... But when lunch came that day, I didnt want to eat anything... So I still have not had tuna, but I bought some of that flat out bread last night and I think I am going to make me some tuna and try it on my flat out bread and see how it is!

Sounds yummie - I'll be over for dinner tonight ?? :girl_witch:

  7. I have the lean cuisine, South Beach or Smart Ones (often for lunch, only because they are sooooo convenient

In the morning I am so tight, that I do a protein shake - I know we should have our protein intake from solids - but there is no way I get something down in the morning!

In the evening it's a different story - nowhere near of being tight - so I usually cook and since I'm not that big of a meat eater, I often just have some chicken or fish with veggies or a mixed salad. Of course portion controlled ;)

  8. Didn't you feel like you were in heaven? :popcorm1:

I remember my first day I had to have a salad :girl_impossible: yep, I never ate much salad before, but since surgery I was dreaming about it and sure enough that's what I had.

It's all about portion control aaaaand "the Protein first" :D
