Well, I'm probably not much of help ... buuuuut ....
I had the uncomfortable feeling (port area) like you described in the first few weeks after being banded,
but only if I took a too big of a sip of water or bite to eat (after day 21)
It dissapeared all of a sudden and I haven't gotten that feeling again.
Maybe someone else can help you out ?

Kimmie, we have the same problem ... breakfast ....
I too sometimes ( o.k. often) skip breakfast, because I am simple too tight and not hungry at all. My body is messing with me as well. There are weeks where I just don't drop a gram and then all of a sudden I lose like 4-5 in a few days. I too need to work on the "breakfast issue" and also on the "getting enough water in".
Keep up the great work - you look AMAZING >
Jessica - I'll be in TJ for my hubbies banding next week- I make sure I ask her
Kim, I remember Dr. Miranda saying "make sure you eat breakfast or everything you eat the rest of the day will go straight to fat." -
I'm not much of a help regarding why, but that does not sound good, please get checked out a.s.a.p.

You know you messed up, now it is time to get your mind set and think about the risk you are taking (healthwise) !!!!
It's not that you cheated - it is about the damage you can do by not following the rules, especially in the 21 day "healing time" your body really, really needs.
Sit down, start to think positive about this process and hopefully you get back on track
GOOD LUCK >

(Its not like they get stretch marks or anything like tummies, the more fat that goes out and the more you exercise the better they get)
I managed to have stretch marks on my arms, bad ones - guess my "bat wings" are not going to snap back
-
Cara, you crack me up LOL
Everytime someone asked me what I miss most about being away from home (Germany) My answer was always THE FOOD & MY FAMILY, yes in this order
Now mom's feeling better and teasing me that the family finally moved up to # 1 LOL
I"m hoping that I reach my goal weight by next year Mai when I go back home for my nephews confirmation and enjoying mom's home cooking to the fullest.
Hubby is already dreaming about it too and he's not even banded yet
Hey Lisa ... PROST !! Have sip for us

Ohhhh Cara, I so know what you mean being german .... living & loving it here ... the "Octoberfest" is aways a piece of home for me and every year I'm looking soo forward to it! Through my job we are part of the sponsors/organizers of the Octoberfest here in Atlanta and I have to see all the good stuff LOL
This year ... "kein Bier, keine Bratwurst und kein Schnitzel" But feeling better than all those years before :cheerleader:

hey kim! i emailed rene at occ and what he sent me was a receipt! i don't think that's what they are looking for. i asked him for an operations report (which is what the receptionist said i need to have). when you got your paperwork, what specifically did you ask for?
thanks
I sent Rene an email back in Mai after my surger and listed specifically everything I need
(surgery report, invoice/receipt, test results) and got it within 2 days or so. Maybe resend your request ?
Good luck

No doubt - it's a chunk of money we spend, but it is for a better and healthier life
It is not always easy, we all have our ups and downs, but I would do it again in a heart beat!
Just think of where you would be in a year from now without the band and then ....
what a beautiful, hot'n sexy, skinny dippin' lady you are going to be
My motto: NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS GETTING SKINNY FEELS ... and it's sooo true
Thank you Willi! It's really mind boggling but it's going to be a fantastic thing I am doing for myself.
Jude =)

Stormy, I have not experienced gas pain/chest pain whatsoever, but maybe after a week out of surgery, I often woke up in the middle of the night and had kind of a tight feeling in the chest - but also a very, very dry mouth. Getting up and have something not too cold to drink resolved the problem. Maybe you should up your water?
I'm bad when it comes to getting enough water down, I constantly have to remind myself to drink but it is really important in so many ways!
Hope you feel better today
