  1. I'd start with the salad, that’s a great idea and remember go really slow. Take small bites and chew, chew, chew. Wait between bites to see how you feel. And they might have a soup of the day so make sure to ask. I have to go out to business outings often and they are my biggest challenge. I still have to watch and be careful, also if I’m nervous when I’m out my band will get tight so I follow the same rule still apply to me now!

Also chewing longer makes people think you are eating more and you don't get those questions.... Also if you start feeling uncomfortable, make sure to stop and if needed just walking to the bathroom can make you feel better, (Moving gets the food moving as well)

    Good luck!

Thank you for the tips Lisa, I know I will be excited :)

  2. Monday 05/19 will be my first day going back on solid food. I am soooooo ready for it and change my mind daily, what I'm going to eat LOLOL

Just a little while ago I received an email -> inviting me to a more/less business lunch on that same day, at a brewery/restaurant which I can not miss.

So first thing I did, was checking out the menu online to see if they have soups to be on the safe side ... Guess what ... NO SOUP only different starters (either fried or breaded stuff mostly), a lot of salads to choose from or pizza. I'm kind of scared something will get stuck, since this will be my first day EATING and I would not have any experience what I can and what I can't eat. I thought I go with a salad? Would that be o.k. ??????????

  3. First I was sure going back to TJ for the fill, but know since I have seen that a few on here went to the Roswell GA Fill Center (which is about 20 min. away from me) and their great experiences, I guess I'll go there too.

On one side I would love to go back to TJ at least for my 1st fill, but on the other hand I'm thinking what if something does not feel right with the fill and I would have to go back right away, I would not be able to just turn around ...

Roswell is very convenient and I would not have the assle of traveling.

Well, 1-2 more weeks to make a final desicion, but if I decide to go back to TJ - I would definately try to go on the 7th as well.

  4. Seems we both had a bad day yesterday :dash1:

I went almost nuts about that "hungery - but not allowed to eat anything REAL" feeling, so I made myself a homecooked, nice and thick

    - probably not really fitting through a straw - kind of soup and being greedy, start to shovel it down :lb18: and yes, I had a tight feeling in my chest due to eating too fast I guess, but I was FULL and went to sleep like a baby ;-)

Glad everyone is doing good and that you feel better today ><'

:lb4: ... we are soon to be skinny dippers ROFL

  5. Hi Myriah ><'

Thank you for being honest and sharing your story with us!

I am very sorry for the trouble you had/have and if I would have known that your pain was still so bad (in the van), I sure would not have accepted one of your pills !!!! (I did not receive any pills when leaving the OCC)

I'm glad you are feeling better and I hope you keep your chin up, because it only get's better every day.

Except the gas pain in my stomach (which was bearable), I did not have any problems at all and even those dissapeared after a few days - However, I am with you on the problem with the "troubled relationship" to food. But after all, I keep myself telling that we got banded to have the help to overcome this addiction, right ? I was not hungry until 9 days post op, but yesterday all I could think of was FOOD and I mean REAL FOOD

My guess ... as soon as we are off of this "post op liquid only wannabe food diet" and starting to get on chewable solids again, we are going to feel much better - Especially when the weight goes down at the same time!

BTW how are your sisters & dad doing? Tell them and your mom :lb14: from us!

:lb4: and please keep us posted!!!

  6. OKAY.... SO I GOT MY BAND DATE!!!! MY FRIEND AND I ARE GOING TO DO IT TOGETHER> MY DATE IS JUNE 3. WE WILL FLY IN ON MONDAY AND FLY OUT ON FRIDAY. SO, ANYBODY OUT THERE WITH THESE DATES? I AM SO EXCITED!!! TWO YEARS OF RESEARCH AND QUESTIONS. IT SEEMS REAL NOW. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS I AM STARTING A WEIGHT LOSS CHANGE AND I AM REALLY GOING TO DO IT. I DO NOT HAVE TO THINK WELL I MIGHT LOSE 20 POUNDS, NO , NOW I AM THINKING MORE LIKE 70 POUNDS OR SO. I JUST HEARD THE GUN GO OFF....SO NOW I START MY RACE.....WITH THE PRE-OP DIET. MOMONAMISSION

:lb24: and :lb10: on your band date! This is the beginning of your new life =D>

  7. About 3 weeks post op I made my appt. I was about to burst waiting on it to get here. Glad it finally did.

9 days post op and I think I'm getting the feeling of hunger? LOL I really hope that banster hell will not be too hard on me and I'm really looking forward to getting my fill in Roswell ;-) It is about 10 miles from work or 30 miles from home so this is very very convenient for me!

Maybe we GA girls/boys can meet up for a fill or so :D

  8. The first few days I really had a hard time finding the right position to sleep (feeling my port and being sore).

Lora gave me a great tip with the pillow - it worked wonders - Sleeping like a baby ;-) THANK YOU LORA

I'm 9 days post op and can sleep most of the night on my stomach, turning around is still a little weird ...
