  1. Those are definitely "skinny bitch legs" SEXY!!!! A mini skirt.. wow.. I think the last time I wore something that was well about 6 inches above the knee was probably when I was like 19 or 20. That's a long time ago! I think that when we're in San Diego we should go out shopping and all buy "GOAL" dresses!! We can help each other pick them out (Or okay.. sexy mini skirts and go strut our stuff!!) :party2:
  2. You are all too kind... thank you for the complements. I too have a noticed a big difference, and as well, notice a big difference in others when they post progress pic's, so make sure all of you do as well. Right now I'm finding that if I buy a pair of pants 3 wks later they're too big. I hate to go and spend a bunch of money on pants and then can't wear them anymore. Tops are different, I'm not losing as quickly on top. I'm trying to stick to buying my pants at consignment stores. Evette... nice to hear from you! I'm trying to come on here more often and will hopefully become more regular like I used to.. You look fabulous as well! Loved to see those pic's of you and Michelle during the summer. Boy.. if I could ever wear a bikini... yah... I don't think so.. don't think I'll become that confident.. (:
  3. HI All..... I've added my 5 mo pic... I had the best thing happen to me the other day!!! I have gone from a size 22 to a size 16 (in most clothes). Sooooo.. I was looking in the "regular" sizes in Walmart and a girl came up to me and asked me if I knew where the Plus Size clothing was?? OMG... I can't begin to tell you how proud and excited I was to point her in the right direction and say "they're over there!" I was on cloud nine for the rest of the day!
  4. Hey Cathy.. I had my 3rd fill on Oct 11th.. I now have 3.2 cc in an 4 cc band, and I can really feel it. I've lost 4 lbs since. I'm really tight in the morning, can even feel water going down. I sip a cup of tea around 11 or so, and am able to sip my protein shake around 1... I was trying to eat Wendy's chili, but can only get about 3 tsps in before it hurts. I stop and try again at dinner time. I haven't been too successful though. I think it's just starting to loosen up a bit in the evening (I hope so anyways). Take Care... and good luck on your 3rd fill... VANGIRL/REDHEAD.... they are also very close to finding and signing up a place in Bellingham to do the fills. Shouldn't be too long now.. I got my Nexus pass about 10 mo ago and love it. I never wait in line-ups anymore. It's $50 CDN for 5 yrs... you can't beat that!
  5. You have been banded 5 months (just after I was) and have lost 61 lbs.. :lb10: And if this is your first PB this is proof of your success. Yes... you have been doing everything right, but just not chewing something enough (to almost the liquid stage) will definitely cause sliming.. bin der dun dat! Anita
  6. Your band is probably swollen from PB'ing and that would give you a little more restriction. It just needs a little time to heal. I'm sure liquids for 24 hrs and then soft foods for 24 hours should do the trick. If not.. stay on liquids a little longer. Hope you feel better... I know that's what works for me.
  7. You Go Girl!! :cheerleader: :cheerleader: :girl_dance: OMG.. you crack me up!!! Make sure you don't exercise every day Heidi.. remember, your muscles need a day to heal. (And so do your girls!)
  8. This sounds almost the same as using "grated parmasean". Great for low carb, but I guess we have to watch the fat as well.
  9. Wowza.. you look awesome Misty... congratulations!!! 7 mos.. 60 lbs.. nice and slow... will stay off!!! I love to post old and new pic's... keep it up girlfriend! Anita
  10. Hi Judy.. I'm sorry I don't have any idea and my guess would have been gas as well. But..if it's not gas, sounds like you've already made the right decision to call your doc. Take Care... Anita
  11. Okay it was the 5 day pouch test... but I did find this info Kim... this is from the "Curves" workout plan.. The program has three parts: a 1- to 2-week jump-start phase, a second phase that lasts as long as needed, and a weight-maintenance phase. When you hit a weight-loss plateau, you get off the diet and follow a 2,500- to 3,000-calorie metabolic tune-up plan. Eating this larger amount of food helps rev up metabolism, since the body has to burn more calories. Once you’ve lost weight, you eat the same higher-calorie levels used on the tune-up plan. I have heard something like this before... just food for thought.. not sure if I would increase my caloric intake that much... but maybe by 500 calories a day might do it? Good Luck Kim...
  12. Mama Michelle put a 5 day plan for bandsters to follow if they were stuck on a plateau... I'll see if I can find it.
  13. Thanks Donna..... hey, we have to set up another lunch in the Seattle area, and hope we can get a few more out this time. I really enjoyed last time, and meeting all of you.
  14. Jessica.. congrats on just being banded. Looking forward to seeing progress pic's on yourself as well!!
  15. So true on both the exercise comments and the people on the board. Remember.. muscle does weigh more than fat, and if you're exercising that much, I'm sure you must see the benefits in the drop of inches that you're having. I don't come on here as much as I used to, but do try to come on at the very least once a week. And like Lisa.. comment only on certain topics. I appreciate all your comments.... and I hope this is my sweet spot as well... and I never thought of looking at it, like from the waist down, I am definitely shrinking faster than the upper, so that would make my upper look bigger. Makes total sense!
  16. Happy Thanksgiving Cdn Friends.. Just had my 3rd fill yesterday and they say liquids for the first 24 hrs and then soft mushy for the next. Hoping I'll be able to get down a bit of stuffing and potatoes and gravy, but of course... I think I'll be using the "baby spoon" to suck off the food at the tip! Will drink my protein drink before I go as well..
  17. Hi Everybody.. went to Arlington today and had my 3rd fill. I now have 3.2 in my band. 1.4 then 1 then .8 today. Feels good so far. I just went to drink a protein drink, and realized I had taken too much at once, and then started to slime on it.. ugh.. I'll wait another hour before I try to drink some more. I have been able to drink tea and water since my fill at 2:30 today, but I guess I just tried to drink too fast. I have a question for all of you.... I have lost 10 lbs since my 2nd fill... Aug 22nd. I have found though that my stomach seems to be getting bigger? I am losing weight in my butt, which is great, but I'm getting quite the muffin top. I'm wondering if I've had just too many carbs in my diet if that would cause it? For the first couple of months I hardly put any carbs in my diet and now that things are going well (maybe too well) I've just slacked a bit?? Anybody else finding this?? Anita
  18. Okay, C'mon Iamworthit... post your pic's. We would all like to see who we are talking to and your name says it all... you are every bit worth it and we want to share the love!!! 19. Hey Renee... long time no talk! Glad to hear things are getting better for you. Sounds like you may have been swollen, but things have relaxed. Keep eating the real soft foods.. Do you have a recent pic... I'd love to see your results.. Anita
  20. Michelle... 80 lbs.. way to go girl! How are you liking your new job? Must have been fun going out and buying a whole new wardrobe.. I too am thinking about the Laser Eye Surgery, how much time did you need for recovery? I would have to plan to miss some work I would imagine. Keep up the excellent work, you are a new hot babe!
  21. Congratulations Jann... you look amazing!!!! Well done!
  22. Congratulations Nicole.. you must feel like a million bucks! :cheerleader: You look awesome!
