  1. Thanks for all your compliments. I am very happy as it shows, and most people that see me tell me I have this glow! (And no it's not from getting laid!!!) haha I don't remember the last time I've lost 30 lbs. I used to get to about 15 lbs on any diet I tried, started to feel and look pretty good, and would just stop. Yah..no! This time I can't stop. I'm forced to keep going, and I love it!

  2. A great post to read first thing in the morning.... I couldn't agree more with all of you. The description of the "tortilla chip" couldn't be more precise. It's definitely an uncomfortable feeling. The very first time I had something "stuck" I quickly got on the forum because I was hurting for a good 45 min. WillT quickly advised me to take a really small sip of water. That did it, it went down. I felt sore inside for a few hours later, but so much better. I am finding as well that since my fill, I have had to learn to start taking the really small bites and to chew, chew, chew, because before my fill, I had let all that slack just a bit, and was able to get away with it. Not any more.

  3. Busy with dragonboat festivals and just life in general, but I've missed you all! Today is 60 days from banding date, and I've posted my new photo. I'm down a total of 24 lbs from surgery date, and a total of 30 lbs from the day of starting pre-op. Had my first fill July 1st. I still have restriction. Feel it definitely in the morning. Tried to eat a protein bar this morning, and I could get 1/2 of it down, before I started to feel sick to my stomach. When I start feeling like this, I know that I'm definitely done eating. Trying to get more water into me though, as it's finally good and hot here, and I know that on Sunday (after drinking a little too much wine at the paddler's party the night before.. ) I realized that I had only pee'd once all day/night. I woke up after 8 hours sleep, and the room was still definitely on a slant, or I just couldn't walk a straight line... I have to say, it was pretty funny! Anyways.. back to reality, lots and lots of water, and I'm feeling so much better! I'm going to catch up on all the posts now... hope you're all doing great! Anita

  4. Hey Lisa I posted about a clothing exchange as well and didn't get much response, I would love anything you have in a size 10!! My 12s jeans are starting to get a little baggy so I imagine by Aug I will be into a 10! I will PM you for your address to pay you for the shipping... and to give you my address

I was just thinking about a clothing exchange. I bought a pair of shorts 3 weeks ago, and they are already to small. I'd rather pass them on to someone who can use them, instead of giving them away. Let's get it started again!!!

  5. Congratulations Cathy... that's great. I found that I had the same thing. I could only eat a small amount, but the full feeling didn't last 3-4 hours. So what I would do is drink water, and if I was still hungry after about an hour, I would have some cottage cheese, or a slice of smoked turkey, or 1/2 a protein bar. That would bump up my protein and keep me full until my next meal. Remember, your stomach has shrunk, and will remain that size, as long as you don't eat a whole bunch at a time. Good Luck, Anita

  6. I am a social drinker as well. Summer will make it more challenging for me, as there's camping, dragonboat festivals, and like this weekend, camping at my girlfriends trailer, and partying at the casino. I was drinking ceaser's on Thursday night, and please, if you don't agree with this, I would prefer no comment, discovered 'White Zinfindal' wine on Friday, and  I drank the whole darn bottle!! OMG.. that stuff is good. I made sure I drank water after, and felt good the next day. Once summer is over, I will probably only have a glass of wine on special occasion's such as Birthday's and holiday's. I also have to tell you all that the complements from my friends that I hadn't seen in month's put me on cloud nine! What a self esteem booster that was!

  7. Hey Michelle... big hugs on your progress. You are doing great, and looking mighty sexy in that dress!! Are those bikini's that I see you and Evette wearing?? You both look great! And to have one of the bandsters post YOUR pic's on HER fridge.. wow... you should be very proud of yourself. I too have bought a skirt and a pair of pants too small for me. Not as small as you did, I'm just not that brave yet, but they are a couple of sizes too small. I'm hoping to be wearing them in September. Keep up the posts, we've been missing you around here. Anita

  8. Northwest fills, say 24 hours liquids, 24 hours mushy foods, and 24 hours normal food, but be careful. You're band will still be tender. I just had my fill on July 1st, and did 48 hours of liquids. Noon to Noon 2 days later. I just had a piece of chicken, and I could only get down about 10 small bites. I couldn't believe it! Woooooooohooooooo!!!! Giddy-up!
