  1. You look really good. What a difference you look like a totally new person. It is funny how we all, at first, aim for a safe weight size, but like Lisal said once we get there we will want to lose more. Keep up all the good work.

  3. Something very wonderful happened to me today. For the first time in over 12 years I am below 200 pounds. Yes, finally I am 199.5 and loving every minute of it. I have gone from a size 22 to a size 16 and I no longer have to shop in the plus size anymore. I can actually use the regular sizes now. I know that I am not done yet and I still have a lot of work ahead of me, but this milestone makes me want to keep moving forward. I LOVE MY BAND!!!!! >
  4. WOW!!! What a difference. You look so different like if you're a bran new person. Oh wait you are! Congratulations

  6. My start weight was 265.5 and when I got my surgery I weighted 255. I lost a total of 20 pounds between 1st fill and surgery 1st fill I weighted 234.4 on July 19 had 2.00 cc between fills I lost 33 pounds 2nd fill I weighted 212.5 on Sept. 20 had .7 cc That brought me down 53 pounds total. and now I am down 60 pounds and I have only had 2 fills. I currently weight 205.5
  7. That is so awesome!!!! > I know exsactly how you feel. I started at 265 and I thought I would never see 199, but now I know it is a reality with the band. I'm 206. So keep up all the hard work cuz it does work!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! =D>

  10. I just came back from my 2nd fill. On my first fill I had 2.0 cc and they took out 1.6cc. Dr. So at the OCC said it is very normal because of the air trapped in the band so now he added .7. So this whole time I was only working with 1.6. Good luck to you on your journey to better health.
  11. I just went for my 2nd fill on Saturday to the OCC and I too had 2.0 cc put in the last fill and Dr. So was only able to get 1.6 cc. He said it is very normal with the first fill because of air still trapped in the band. So he put the 1.6 cc back and added .7. So don't worry you might get restriction because now you are working with 2.0cc instead of 1.0 cc. Good luck on your journey to better health.
  12. The fills at the OCC are $100.00. That is all I know cuz I drove down to Mexico and I don't spend the night, but I just came back from my 2nd fill and it was 100.
  13. Lisa, you are so right. When I started this journey I was 267 and nobody ever paid me a compliment or even looked twice at what I was wearing. But only my husband. He always made sure to tell me how beautiful I looked, even I knew I didn't. I would always tell my family " I am beautiful just fat". Now that I have lost 53 pounds everybody looks at me and tells me that I look really nice. It feels good but I tell myself "why didn't you notice before". I went to a family party and my husband aunt saw me having a piece of cake and she told me that I better put it down before I gain all my weight back. I couldn't believe it. By the way nobody knows that I got the surgery so they just wonder how i did it. Well I just wanted to share a little about the difference I have noticed with people and how they treat me. Alexandra
  14. I can totally relate to you. I got my band July 6 and that was gratuation month. It seem like everybody I knew either had a gratuation party or just a party. I had fathers day also and I couldn't a solid thing. It was horrible. What I just started to do was not go. I did not care if it was rude or not. I had to think about myself for once. It was a really hard time but it was all worth it. As you can see I am 53 pounds lighter so I do not regret being "rude" and not showing up cuz know I do show up just much slimmer. You can do it!! Leave and go do something else if you start feeling uneasy. Before they get there have your meal and have a protein shake on hand. When you feel like eating have the shake and if that doesn't work then just walk out and go for a drive and remember that you are doing this for you not anybody else. YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!!! Good luck. Alexandra
  15. Like many people here on the forum I too got my surgery with Dr. Ortiz in tijuana. I was very scared and worried about my decision to go to Mexico, but after I got there and meet everybody I would do it all over again in a heart beat. I am so happy with my band. I got banded in July and I have lost 52 pounds. It is the best decision I ever made for myself and it was all for 1/2 the price that it would of costed me in the U.S. It so worth it. Alexandra
  16. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! > > What a milestone. You look really good and you are a true insperation to all of us that the band does work. =D> Alexandra

  20. Hi Barb, I get pain similar to that, too. It's gas pains that feel like a heart pain. I usually get it when I am exercising, especially running, It usually goes away after I start burbing. I would still keep an eye on it, it's just my experience that it is gas and probably nothing to worry about. I'm glad to hear that you have restriction. I will talk to you later. :-h Alexandra
  21. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! =D> 100 pound is a lot and you should be very proud of yourself. I'm half way to 100 pounds too and I can't wait. Thank you for the motivations. >
  22. You are doing terrific. Keep Up all the hard work. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! =D>
  23. With my band I experience good restriction in the morning and for lunch, but for dinner I have restriction but not as tight. I love it because it keeps me on my toes and losing weight.
