  3. Alright April is over so i'm back! Did 4 miles last Friday and 5 today. I"ll see if I can add them to the ticker.
  4. Sorry I fell off the face of the earth. April was the month from hell for me but i'm back!!! B: Tortillia and hash browns L:Sliced ham dipped in light miracle whip, low fat bean dip & chips S: Chocolate ice cream D: Tortillia w/ fat free refried beans, picante sauce and a little bit of chicken and cheese Exercise: Ran 3.5 miles and walked 1 - was trying for 4 but it was a very hilly route! Calories so far: 1,300
  5. Totally understand!! I work two jobs and in the month of April I only had two days off. Some days I was working up to 15 hours a day and exercise just wasn't an option. I also was so tired and stressed that I wasn't making good food choices either. Now that April is over it is NO EXCUSES for me! I am back on track w/ working out and am working on my food choices as well. I am doing a food detox next week to get my rear back in gear and to get this last bit of weight off. Just know you aren't alone. See my post earlier about making mini goals and finding upcoming events to work towards. That has been a big help to me. Good luck!!
  6. Oh yeah my motivation is soo day to day!! Some days I can push through it and eat well and exercise but then there are times when it just isn't happening, but I try to push myself through it every day. I do best when I have something coming up soon to work towards. I am running in a race first weekend of June and since it is a month away it has given me more motivation. Had the same thing before my birthday, HS reunion, and other races. If I find small things to work towards it really helps. After the race in June i'm headed to the lake in August so that will help me get my rear in gear the thought of a swimsuit around all my skinny mini friends. Just know we all go through it!
  7. I have never had issues but I have heard that some fruits and veggies can cause problems for folks since they are fiberous. Carrots, green beans and some other stuff seem to give folks fits, but i've yet to have an issue. But everyone is different.
  8. Congrats I hope it all goes well! I am so jealous my chest is fine, but my stomach is a mess. I would love to get a TT and some lipo - hopefully someday. Let us know how it goes!!!
  9. Best of luck w/ your surgery! I agree completely you must have your head in the right place to do this, so be prepared. The band is just a tool and we still have to do a lot of work. I struggled with the pre op diet too, but once I had the surgery I was so scared of messing something up that I was super careful and followed the rules to the T. I have been slacking a bit lately but am committed to getting back on track. These last 10 have been tough but I am bound and determined to get them off!
  10. Hi there...congrats! I am sure you will do just fine. Best advice I can give you is to read back posts in here as much as you can. I read for hours and hours and got a notebook and took notes. By the time my surgery date arrived (mine was almost 4 months from booking to surgery) I was ready to go. Good luck!!
  11. Everyone is different, but just to give you some comparison we started at about the same weight and i'm about 6 inches shorter than you. I gained back 1/2 of what I lost on the pre op diet to my first fill and my doctor was very pleased with that. You don't have a ton to loose, so it is gonna come off slower. After my 2nd fill is when it really started coming off, but that is also when I was really exercising more too. Not sure how much exercise you are incorporating. I also agree until you are really at your sweet spot I recommend measuring and calorie counting. Even after that I do it as well but that is to make sure i'm eating enough calories. That was my issue for a while and it was causing me to not loose. Like others said it is a process so give it time. Good luck!
  12. Give it time and you will be able to let them rip! I have never been able to burp and after surgery it was really bad. But for some reason after a couple fills I could let it rip with the best of them! Might have just been my experience but that is what happened to me.
  13. I took the cubes and tried them once and gagged they tasted terrible. From then on it was broth from the hotel for me as well as gatorade and special k20 water. On top of what has been said also a heating pad. I didn't take one and really wish I would have. I also agree on baggy clothes, cash, a pillow and gas x strips. Take as little as possible but i'm sooo glad I took my laptop or I would have been really bored!
  14. Sorry to hear that the aftercare was bad, but i'm glad everything else went well. I was just pondering today going to OCC for my 2 year bandiversary just to get stuff checked out. Just depends on if I can afford it at the time. I really want PS too, but money is a real issue right now so we will have to wait and see. Just looked at the program you are following and i'm wondering if you bought any of her books. The ones on food addiction look really interesting. Let me know if you recommend any of them.
  15. B: Breakfast burrito and hash browns L: Sliced turkey w/ light miracle whip & chips w/ low fat bean dip S: Two bites of a brownie which I then proudly threw the rest away!! D: Mini Raviolis S: Fiber One cereal (dry) S: Vodka and crystal light Calories so far: 1200
  16. Ugh drainage is the worst!!!! It clogs me up so bad i'm miserable. I also tighten up around period time so I have to be careful there too. Hope you get to feeling better!!!
  17. Super stressful time at work so stuff is not going down well, but i'm trying to get food in. B: Breakfast burrito and hash browns L: Sliced turkey dipped in light miracle whip, carrots and ranch and a few chips and low fat bean dip S: Snack sized crackel bar D: Fiber One cereal (dry) and cheese and crackers Calories so far: 1,100
  18. I'm in!!! Work is just left of rediculous right now so I won't be running much in April, but get me to April 30th and it is on!!! (That is supposed to be my "eye of the tiger" motivated face)
  19. Ugh....my scale says I gained like 4 lbs since yesterday. As I get close to goal my body does that so i'm not stressing. Going on a run tonight and hopefully will go try a spin class on Sunday!
  20. B: Fiber One Cereal S: Apple Juice L: Chicken, pasta, and potatoes D: TBA Exercise: Going on a run tonight about 3 miles I think, then headed home for a family BBQ! Calories so far: 700
  21. I still drink I refuse to give that up. When i'm out I do wine or juice like a vodka and cranberry. when at home I do vodka in crystal light so I keep it low cal.
  22. B: Tortillia w/ eggs and hash browns L: Ham dipped in light miracle whip, carrots and ranch, and tortillia chips in low fat bean dip S: Mini sized crunch bar D: TBA Calories so far: 900
  23. I quit doing rice and bread after that 2nd fill and just don't even try them. Tortillias are fine for me 80% of the time as long as i'm careful and slow about eating. Pasta is actually a major slider for me, so I try to not eat it a lot, but I have it sometimes and mix tuna or another meat in it to beef it up a bit. Goes down way too easy and I don't stay full unless I do that. But it is always my go to food when in mixed company and afraid i'll get stuck. Either that or fish if available I always do good w/ that.
