  1. Don't get discouraged!!! I didn't even start loosing weight until I had my first fill in August. Mt second fill is next week and I've lost 15 lbs. I had started to think the band wasn't working and then after the fill the weight seems to fall off. i can tell though that I'm ready for another fill. Good Luck!!!!
  2. Hang in there. Make sure you eat before everyone gets there, if you're not hungry it makes it a bit easier. Try homemade soups if you can, they seem to be a bit more satisfying. What I do is make the soup like usual then just put it in the blender tillit's liquified. The taste makes a big difference.
  3. I was banded through True Results and was told to never use a straw as it causes bloating. Their diet progression is 1 week clear liquids, 1 week full liquids to "mushies" and then soft food. I lasted 4 days on clear liquid, 6 days on full to mushy and then soft food by week 2 with no complications. If you are that hungry then you run the risk of streaching your pouch because you are eating too much or too often.
  4. Have you tried making your own pureed food? I found that by making my own food it not only tasted better but also had more protein than baby food. Some of the shakes will make you "Slime". Try putting the shake in a blender, add 1-2 oz water and ice cubes. Sometimes the consistency of the shakes makes a difference in how well you tolerate them. Good luck,
