I need some advise. Last night I was up every 1/2 hour sick-sick-sick. It was awful, I was scared to death my band would slip, but I couldn't make the vomitting stop. Finally at about 5 am I was able to get some sleep but now I feel like I was ran over by a mac truck. I am finally able to keep liquids down. I haven't wanted any food yet. But my question is should I go back to a liquid diet for a few days? And if this ever happens again what should I do? Just ride it out? I pray it will never happen again. but you never know Thanks Susan

Hi, Im from Indiana but I went to Mexico Oct 2,2008 for my surgery. I get fills in Chicago though from a great team of providers that wants to help take care of us that went to Mexico. Susan

Thanks so much for Dr Watkins number. I have had 2 fills so far by Karen his NP and everything went great!! I think they are very aggessive with the fills, which I think is a good thing. The staff is awesome, I would recommend them to anyone in the Northern Midwest. And the $95 is great too Susan

Im cooking for the family the usual yummy food. I just had my first fill and I feel the restriction right now so I will be very careful with what I eat. The PB'ing sucks! OK Here is a dumb question?????????????? Why only dark meat? I hate dark meat! Susan

I think you guys convinced me! I use to have one of them lil do dads but every step I took you could hear it rattle. LOL It made me crazy!!! I will go buy the Omron and see how it works Also I was going to give my Ipod to my son for christmas but I think I might need to hang on to it. I hate to walk also but I know I have to get moving doing something. I am a school bus driver and I find myself coming home in the morning and "vegin" which isn't good. I know I need to get moving, so this is it, Im gonna do it.. Thanks Susan

I am 7 days post op and I would say watching the family eat in the evening is killing me. And, I have decided I never want to see Chicken broth again as long as I live. YEK Today I get creamy soup and Im soooo excited, but by the end of 21 days Im sure I will be sick of that too. Really, another thing that has been hard for me is eating out at fast food restaurants. I dreamed the other night I was eating at Wendy's!!!! And enjoying it Cheers Susan

Stormy Think of her as a BIG FAT JOKE!!!! And when she starts in on you just laugh and walk away. I think God puts people in our life like that to make us see how good we really have it. Plus it does give you something good to laugh about. By the way how have you survived the 21 days? Im day 6 and think I might be going crazy!!!! Oh yea Im already there!!!! LOL Susan

Hey, Life is great in bandland! Everyone takes such good care of us. I feel great and am looking forward to some shoppong today. I slept like a rock last night and am ready to get the day started. Im not even sore today. Last evening before bed I was a little "tight" in the tummy area but not in Pain. They gave me a little something and I fell right to sleep. I would do it all over again in a second.. Susan

Hi Susan here, We are all bankster now. I feel really good just tired and ready to have coffee!!! I believe everyone did a great job and are happy.

I bet your just feeling extra icky because its "That time" The heating pad sounds like a good idea, and try a nap it always works. Then get up and walk some. Drink some and if need be take another nap. Be good to your self. Susan

October2, Stay focused! Remember what we are doing and why? Yes you do have a few scars but who cares, I have always said I don't want to get back into a bikinni, I just wanna look real good in a swim suit. As for leaving the family, think of it as a mini vacation. Remember I will be there with you and we are going to make sure we have some fun while we are there!!! Keep in touch and say focused!! thanks everyone What a shock, I really wanted to do this on my own. But last night I ask hubby to help. ARRR I just hate to do that, its not like he spoon fed me to get me to fatdom!!! ARRRR Im still very upset over the whole mess but he is going to try to help me out. I just hate to see him pull money out of his 401. But he said with what it is loosing right now it will work out. God love him. But still might put things off for a while. Yes your right it because of all this finanical stuff going on right now. I guess there are alot of things going on in the finance world that I know nothing about. I just thank my lucky stars Im not buying a house right now.. Susan

Has anyone else been approved for their loan and been told it was funded and received a phone call saying the funding company is going "Under"? I am about ready to have a "COW" And its one week before my surgery date so yes I could eat a cow!!! Any feedback would be greatly appriciated Susan

Hi Misty I think there is 4 of us now October2 is from New York and she is gonna be with us. Are we gonna have to fight over who goes first? Or do they decide for us?

This is just from my own experience but with any type of abdominal surgery you will most likely have that "numb" feeling. My doctor here said it could last up to 6 months post op. Even though its just a small incision it still is cutting on your tummy. I thought it was really weird to lay my hand on my stomach and not feel it there after an abdominal surgery. Susan

Its got to end sometime. Hang in there and remember to always test them first!!

Thanks everyone. This is something my sister and I have been talking about, she has the larger band and has had 3 fills so far, and not much restriction. I agree the larger band is for the larger inside parts. I told her they probably ran out of the smaller bands that day I'm sure the doc put the band in that they feel you need. I just don't want to have to travel for 3 or 4 fills. ARRRR Has anyone been diabetic and had the band put on? I fear my sugar will drop and I will act like a veggie!!!! Worry worry
