  1. Oh girl, I know what your going through!! IT SUCKS, but keep on :lb25: and keep your focus on your meal sizes, getting in your exercise and making a routine out of your new life. A lot of people dont lose until their fills are at the right level, me included. I lost 20 some odd pounds in the first month and a bit after surgery and nothing since then. I have been post op for 3 months, and have been the same weight for the past 2 months. I am running and going to curves and the scale does not move. AHHHHHH, But like I said one step at a time and im sure the weight will move for the two of us. I am going for my second fill on thursday so here's to hoping that the scale will move.

Chin up, this is not an easy rollercoaster ride.

  2. If you search and go to the San Diego Zoo Website you can get tickets and hotel deals. There are a lot of hotels that will pick you up from the Airport, give you passes to the Zoo, with transportation to and from, as well as the OCC will (should) be able to pick you up from the hotel instead of the airport. They picked my mom and I up at a hotel in Hotel Circle when I had my surgery!

I havent done this but I looked into it cause I was going to do the same thing as yourself!

Good Luck. Let us know how the trip was,

  3. For me I was pain free, I had my surgery on a Thursday and could have very easly gone back to work on the Monday, I booked two weeks off, I took advantage of my time off but I could have gone back. I did have gas pain, in and around the stomach not so much at the other end, haha. When I had the gas pain I would walk it out. I was an easy case so I would say you should be fine, but maybe let your boss know that you will come back and work half days for the first week or book more time off. The sitting part was not an issue for me.

I hope this helps, I hope more people post so you get a varity of answers,

Good luck and welcome to BANDLAND!!

  4. My Great Aunt had her band removed in January for medical reasons that she could not control, Her body just rejected the band). She continues to this day to eat very small portions and follows the rules as if she still has the band. I will send my best wishes to your sister! Its not easy to lose the weight and then have your band removed, but she needs to know that she is worth it and deserves to be happy, just because her body can't handle the band doesn't mean she should give up! Tell her to smarten up or she will put the weight back on and then some!

  5. Hi Lawanda,

I just wanted to say that you spoke my very thoughts. I too am going through the same thing as you! Lisal is rock star and I am going to follow her words and see how I feel leading up to my next fill on April 23. I hope this time I get more out of this fill!

I agree we're not getting the full effects out of our band!

  6. :lb4: All I want to say is, I am the same as you! I eat at night and cant stop! My pre-op diet was hard for me too. Im really not to sure what to tell you to stop as I am still struggling after my surgery! But I will say that the thought of my surgery being canceled if i didn't lose the weight made me buckle down! (I paid way to much to not have the surgery, flights hotels, the surgery itself!)

Your doing good, keep up the VERY HARD work!

Big hugs and lots of love,

    Jenelle
