  1. Oh I just love these NSV too! I bet it's a good feeling!!! It does inspires me to keep focusing forward and soon enough to be rewarded. WTG Cari!!! =D> :lb21: :lb13:
  2. Hi Trav...I hear ya! I use the new Chewable Fiber Choice for the hunger, if any, it does great - got these at WalMart Take one at 10am and the other at 3pm. For the fiber, I use Benefiber everyday as it does the Rotor Rooter job! It has no flavor and mixes very well in drinks, soups, shakes, and yogurts. Hope this helps!
  3. Hi Amy...glad to see you are doing well. For my issue regarding BM. I had a hard time and started on Benefiber right away, as Julie suggested to me. It has no flavor but mixes very well in water, soups, and other drinks. This has saved me and I am close to 3 weeks out from surgery, and it is working like a charm. I don't do the full quota to be used, because I don't want the chance of 'overloading'. I also tried and still do, use the new Chewable Fiber Choice tablets. There's two kind - the one I am using is the Weight Management in strawberry flavor and I take one at 10 am and one at 3pm. This has helped too. Again, I don't use this every day...just like every 3 days, to keep things going. Apple juice would help but in moderation, otherwise you will get the runs! THAT is not a good thing either! Hope this helps!
  4. Well, you should feel water go through but not to the point that it's NOT going through. It should be an slower pace going through. OK...is there any way you can get a picture of him the next time you go and post him here? Then we can drool like you are - LOL!! And, um, what number do we call for an appt and where exactly does this hunk, I mean fill dr, work at? LOL Glad to see you got your first fill...now don't forget to chew, chew, chew real good!!
  5. Hi Salena ~ Welcome! To start off with is what Jann just posted. Lots of yummy ones too. There are also lot of other protein shakes receipes oon the internet...you can google it and go from there. The same goes for choosing protein powder. I personally use AmazeRX (www.AmazeRX.com) and mix and match my flavors. GREAT TASTING and has 17g of protein per shake. My DS suggested to use peanut butter protein powder (www.bellplantation.com) to add flavor to my chocolate or vanilla shake. It has 4.3g of protein per serving. When I add the two together, my tasty shakes has 21.3g of protein. Really, it's all a matter of taste. Good luck!
  6. Congrats Trav...WTG! Now you are a 'twosome'!! Isn't it great!!! Keep up the good work and keep us posted on your progress!
  7. oooh Margaret...a cute dr? he he...all the more the reason to get another fill soon! LOL I would assume you would feel some kind of restriction. Did you talk to the dr about the size of your band and such? Did he use fluro and see how the flow of your drink go down? Did you stay arond his office and drank some water to see how it is? How much restriction did he do for you? I am no expect here since I haven't gotten my first fill yet. But I would ask questions the next time to get a clearer picture of where your band stands. I am hoping the other 'pros' will help you with this issue. I do understand that you should go on liquids and the progress up to solids.
  8. I loce how you show your before, during and current pictures. You can really see the difference! You have a healthy glow! Thanks for sharing ~ you are inspiring me.
  9. Cara, EXCELLENT post...I needed this right nowt! You are so right about 'moving' yourself. I had an issue today and I handled it by walking away from it to have some 'air time' and walked around for about 5 minutes. When I returned, not only did I get rid of the issue, but I felt good! I had a much clearer mind and had gone forward with what I was doing. I am printing this for my binder as well. Job Well Done ~ thanks for sharing!
  10. Sweetheawrt ~ you have no idea how much this post means to me right now! I had temptation brought to my desk and just went into puddles. But you got me back to focusing my goal. GREAT TIMING!! I am literally going throught Bandster Hell and so far, I am true to this 21 days post op...but it's killing me. I've 2 more days before I go on solids and hopefully stay on track before my first fill on Sat, Dec 6. Of the 7 items you've listed, the last two hit me..."Positive Thinking" and "Pay it Forward". I just now bounced back up and now going forward with it. Thank you my friend, for this post! (HUGS!) You are doing an AWESOME journey!!

  13. Hi Divine ~ Welcome to Bandland! It will go away soon enough. It's because of the C20 (gas) during your surgery. Are you taking your Gas X strips? If you do al ot of walking, it will also help get rid of it. Yes, it is normal for burping and tooting for a couple of weeks. Hang in there! Keep us posted on your progress and congrats!
  14. You know, we are all human and yeah, you let your hair down a bit but I don't think you did any real damaged to your band. The gals are right...rest and relax and pamper you and your band for a few days. Hope you feel better soon!
