  1. I am so excited! I just scheduled my 1st fill with NW Fills today for Feb. 19th! I just can't afford the $$ to fly down to San Diego to go to the OCC unfortunately...
  2. I was wondering about the gallbladder thing too. I meant to ask Dr. Ortiz but I was so drugged out when I finally met him that I forgot to ask. My mom and aunt had to have their gallbladders out after having babies and I just had a baby and LBS so I have both of those things working against me! Was just wondering if anyone else had to have theirs out after LBS as well...
  3. When I was pregnant last year my baby was so big that my stomach was stretched to the absolute MAX, by the end I had both vertical and horizontal stretch marks boo... My body shape is so completely different now that even though I am officially back to pre-baby weight, none of my old clothes fit me yet because of my stomach. Anyways, I told my husband that after I have our next baby or 2 that I will be wanting a tummy tuck and a breast lift, I don't necessarily want implants but I would really like them to sit up where they are supposed to!
  4. I am dreaming about food too! Last night I actually dreamed that I went to a fridge and started chugging a diet coke and then started freaking out in the dream that I was going to stretch my band and I shot up in bed like it was a nightmare freaking out! What's funny is that I stopped drinking diet sodas a month before the surgery because I knew I probably wouldn't ever drink it again and it is probably the only thing that I am not craving at the moment! Weird stuff... I am just going to have to hang in there, maybe I'll try an applesauce later tonight or something...
  5. UGH, today is the first day that I have been really wanting to eat something different. Up until now I have been really enjoying the soups and not been too hungry. Every day I have a lot of water, a yogurt smoothie, a protein shake and a bowl or two of soup. Now that I have been doing this for a while I am so BORED with it! I think it would be easier if I could just have soup all day long but it is higher in calories and fat and I know need to keep it to one or two bowls max. I keep changing up the soups and the times of the day I have what I have but I find myself constantly thinking about food and counting down the days until I can eat again. I have splurged once and had some soft serve ice cream and that was really good but just ended up making me feel guilty. I am also frustrated because my weight keeps fluctuating really bad. One day I'll be down 2 or 3 lbs and then the next morning I am up 4 lbs! I know that I shouldn't be getting on the scale every day but I was really excited to see it go down and then the mornings that it goes up it almost ruins my day.
  6. Hang in there! Just remember that I am going right along with you!! I think mostly I am just mouth hungry, I am really craving meat right now!
  7. Yeah I added the Kraft Mexican Blend shredded cheese, the cheese is shredded really fine so it melted really fast and I didn't have any pain afterwards... the sour cream added made it really good too...
  8. I actually did that during the broth phase because I got so sick of the broth it tasted so gross and at least the chicken noodle broth was a little better tasting! I was a little worried about the enchilada sauce so I just got the mild kind and did just fine!
  9. Same here! I keep seeing hot dogs everywhere and all I want is a hot dog with ketchup! I don't even care about the bun, just the hot dog! I made the Chicken Tortilla soup from the recipes forum tonight though and added a few things to it and it turned out soooo good! Like a liquid taco is what my husband called it!
  10. I made this tonight for dinner and OMG it is like a liquid taco! I used the full can of mild enchilada sauce. Then after I put it in the bowl I added some mexican blend shredded cheese, a scoop of sour cream and a teaspoon of red La Victoria taco sauce and it was AMAZING! I loved every bite and so did my hubby! Thanks for the recipe I'll be making this again!!
  11. I have never craved meat before but oh man all I want right now is MEAT!! Any time I see a commercial with meat on it I start salivating! lol! I haven't decided what my first meal is going to be but probably something like an egg and a morningstar sausage patty! Good luck ladies!
  12. Mine was a little overwhelmed after being with Grandma and Auntie all weekend but she did really good while we were gone, unfortunately she got an ear infection right when we got back though so we have been taking care of our little sickie for about a week now Take care!!
  13. Same here, except the protein water is sooo good! It tastes like Jello and keeps my hunger low...
  14. It was definitely a weird feeling being in TJ but not un-safe at all! We only went from the border to the clinic to the hotel and visa versa and all via the OCC shuttles so we were totally fine. The only scary thing was trying to cross the street without getting run over!! One weird thing I did read in the hotel's guest information book was to not take a taxi off the street only out front of the hotel or if you call for one. My husband and I were out walking around the street outside the Lucerna and the taxi's driving by all slowed down honked at us, but we didn't need to use any taxis anyway so it didn't matter. Just be safe and be aware and you'll be fine! The OCC and Lucerna staff were awesome!!

  16. Hi Nikki!! How are you feeling? Any shoulder pain or anything? I am having bad shoulder pain 2-3 times a day that lasts about 30 min and it is aweful! I think we can have the jello puddings, and I have been loving the soup stage actually! I love cream of chicken soup since I was a kid so its nice to have lots of it!   17. Too funny! I am glad you are doing so great! I hardly remember that day as well! The weight was coming off me pretty fast and then when I started the soups it stopped for some reason, I think I need to take a nice long walk tomorrow and maybe it will start coming off again! Take care!
  18. Yay I am glad you liked it! Tonight was my 2nd night of it! Basically I have been having a protein shake for breakfast, liquid yogurt for lunch and then soup for dinner with some other small amounts of liquids in between. I had been loosing about a pound a day the whole last week but then this morning I got on the scale and I was up 2 lbs! I think it is because I am nearing the end of my birth control cycle and I started retaining water again but grrr! I have been in a bad mood all day because of it too! And I just wanted to make sure I wasn't eating too much or something to make me gain 2lbs over night.
  19. Yeah it was with all the other soups, you might try Vons if you can't find it at Ralph's, they are the same company as Safeway... I also found a butternut squash soup but haven't tried it yet so can't say if it is good or not... Good Luck!
  20. It is in a bag and you just mix it with water, it makes about 7 cups and it is thick when its done. It does have some potato chunks in it but it was pretty easy to strain out and if I would have thought about it I could have made it without the chunks and would have made it easier on myself!
  21. I have been having 1 protein shake a day to get protein in but the creamy soups thing is hard for me because I am not sure how much of it we are supposed to be eating... Ckiki - I found a really really yummy cheddar potato mix at Safeway the other day and that sat really well with me last night its from Bear Creek I think, something different than cream of chicken... I also made me and my husband beef stew one night and just made it extra liquidy so I could have that part and he had all the chunks...
  22. Hello! I am on day 9 post op and I was just curious to know what some of you had during this time throughout the day? I really don't want to screw this up by even drinking too much liquids so can some of you let me know what you had during the day when you were onto the full liquids stage? I know we don't have to count calories right now but I am just not sure how much of what I should be taking in and it would be really helpful! Thanks!
  23. That does make me a little sad actually! I have never been a pastry person and I don't really like frosting all that much but I do love a good slice of cake and I am going to 3 weddings this year! Luckily on my birthday I don't ever get cake I always get a slice of pumpkin cheesecake at Cheesecake factory, once a year and OH so delicious!
  24. Ok it has been 8 days since surgery at this point and had no gas pain in my shoulder until 2 days ago and then BAM the last 2-3 days I have had the worst pain in the collar bone area in my shoulder! Nothing helps it either! Sorry just had to vent a little because I know you guys understand!
