I stopped coming on here often when it all started going to gastric plication as well.
I have had my band for a few years. Had a baby - and need a fill or some motivation because I have been doing crappy lately!! I was doing sooo well! I am about 142
-
No Regrets here either One of the best decisions I ever made!
-
Just seeing how you are doing!!! I dont log on often - but hope everything is going great! My baby will be 8 months next week
-
Congratulations!!
I had my daughter in August Feel free to PM me anytime!
I had just had an unfil Dec 4th last yr and found out Jan 16th I was 2.5 weeks preg so it worked great.
My daughter was 6 weeks early (nothing to do with the band, it was due to Pre eclampsia and HELLP syndrom, my first daughter was 9 weeks early due to the same thing). Anyways, I never had another unfil although I did get a little uncomfortable towards the end. I probably would have needed a bit more of an unfil if I had gone to term.
If you ever want to chat let me know and I can PM you my email address...or add you on facebook

For those of you who remember me if you want pm me and we can be facebook buddies Then we can actually see pics and whatnot.

I love plaza rio as well. I also go over to San Diego to the outlet shops.
We went out too while we were there - about 8 times
-
I was lower BMI and am at goal - have been for awhile (even just had a baby and back at goal weight again). Again, follow the rules I made a friend at the clinic on surgery date who had similar stats as me. We emailed every day, every time we ate or exercised - made us feel accountable and helped us through the hard times!
-
I just kept what I was at. I just had a baby as well and didnt get an unfil and am still just right I figure if it isnt broken - dont fix it lol
-
I havent gained much...I weigh 156 right now and I am guestimating I weighed about 140-143 when I got pregnant....I got pregnant new years eve and I hadnt weighed since about a week before xmas I think. I was trying to not be so anal over xmas since I had only been banded 3 days the xmas before and missed out on everything since I was on the liquid diet. My doctor said its fine since I wasnt a toothpick and everything is going good
-
Glad you are doing so well!! I am 33 weeks along. I didnt have my band unfilled either. I am just starting to get a bit tighter though - but my doctor says it is just because I am so small and everything is getting squished, so we are keeping our eyes on things. Besides that, everthing is great
Hope you continue having a great pregnancy!

I didnt have LBL - just what I put in my signature I handle pain pretty well too....and have had other surgeries. The only one I wish I wouldnt have done was getting the fat I had taken out put into my butt cheeks lol - sorry, but the results were not worth the pain. Well to me anyways!
-
I agree about the thighs fyi
The butt HURTS!!! lol
I went to cosmed
Just wanted to say good luck!
-
I did. The results for me were amazing. My lipo made a HUGE difference on my waist - HUGE. I had implants placed, an old c section scar fixed, lipo and he put that fat into my butt cheeks - that is what I would skip. It looks okay, but honestly - no one but me would know, and that part was NOT worth the HORRIBLE pain I had in that area.
I have sent 2 friends, and my mom and sister and 3 other friends will be going to see him within the next year.

I actually will have a slim fast drink when feeling ill like that. I just use 1 cup 1 percent milk and a scoop of chocolate slim fast (since its what I like) and it keeps me going.
-
Oh! I forgot to add - I felt fine in TJ. I have been there 8 times and will be there more, I have met some great friends there
-
I was always chunky. The band was the best thing I ever did - although, the most difficult! I NEVER regret having the band, though some days are a little frustrating or difficult. The benefits like being off meds, or walking into a store and being able to wear anything I want (was size 5-6ish, but am 6.5 months preg right now) definately out weigh those days I miss being able to eat a huge plate with steak, potatoes and who knows what else I would shovel in.
I honestly did not do a lot of exersize. 99% of it was how I ate. I needed to learn to eat smaller amounts more frequently. Which the band has helped me learn.
I will not lie - it is not easy. I find this more difficult than say weight watchers or jenny craig - but guess what, this is the only thing that has EVER worked for me in 30 years. I love it and would never go back.
Feel free to PM anytime with questions, I dont mind
-
Your welcome! I wish I would have done this when I was 20 instead of 30 - I missed out on a lot of dancing lol
-
I had PS in TJ too at Cosmed
-
I spoke to my dr before I went to the OCC. She too was excited for me, and said she wished it was easier for people to be banded here. I also did find an after care doctor near by (2 hours away) in case I can not get to TJ. I would still rather go there though, but if need be - he is here. They wont turn you away if you have probs. I have heard though that if its something very serious they just take the band out - I do not know that from experience though. I know if it were up to my dr she wouldnt have it that way, but I think they just do what they have to do to make things better for you. My after care dr is a bit of a conceited jerk though and I can see him doing that.
I always keep enough $ saved to get to TJ.

Kristi - Congratulations!
I like this post - I actually recognize a lot of you lol - so many new people to the forum, and I dont login a lot because of it since most are not asking about being banded
