  1. I stopped coming on here often when it all started going to gastric plication as well.

I have had my band for a few years. Had a baby - and need a fill or some motivation because I have been doing crappy lately!! I was doing sooo well! I am about 142

  2. Congratulations!!

I had my daughter in August :) Feel free to PM me anytime!

I had just had an unfil Dec 4th last yr and found out Jan 16th I was 2.5 weeks preg so it worked great.

My daughter was 6 weeks early (nothing to do with the band, it was due to Pre eclampsia and HELLP syndrom, my first daughter was 9 weeks early due to the same thing). Anyways, I never had another unfil although I did get a little uncomfortable towards the end. I probably would have needed a bit more of an unfil if I had gone to term.

If you ever want to chat let me know and I can PM you my email address...or add you on facebook :)

  3. I havent gained much...I weigh 156 right now and I am guestimating I weighed about 140-143 when I got pregnant....I got pregnant new years eve and I hadnt weighed since about a week before xmas I think. I was trying to not be so anal over xmas since I had only been banded 3 days the xmas before and missed out on everything since I was on the liquid diet. My doctor said its fine since I wasnt a toothpick and everything is going good :)

  4. Glad you are doing so well!! I am 33 weeks along. I didnt have my band unfilled either. I am just starting to get a bit tighter though - but my doctor says it is just because I am so small and everything is getting squished, so we are keeping our eyes on things. Besides that, everthing is great :)

Hope you continue having a great pregnancy!

  5. I did. The results for me were amazing. My lipo made a HUGE difference on my waist - HUGE. I had implants placed, an old c section scar fixed, lipo and he put that fat into my butt cheeks - that is what I would skip. It looks okay, but honestly - no one but me would know, and that part was NOT worth the HORRIBLE pain I had in that area.

I have sent 2 friends, and my mom and sister and 3 other friends will be going to see him within the next year.

  6. I was always chunky. The band was the best thing I ever did - although, the most difficult! I NEVER regret having the band, though some days are a little frustrating or difficult. The benefits like being off meds, or walking into a store and being able to wear anything I want (was size 5-6ish, but am 6.5 months preg right now) definately out weigh those days I miss being able to eat a huge plate with steak, potatoes and who knows what else I would shovel in.

I honestly did not do a lot of exersize. 99% of it was how I ate. I needed to learn to eat smaller amounts more frequently. Which the band has helped me learn.

I will not lie - it is not easy. I find this more difficult than say weight watchers or jenny craig - but guess what, this is the only thing that has EVER worked for me in 30 years. I love it and would never go back.

Feel free to PM anytime :) with questions, I dont mind

  7. I spoke to my dr before I went to the OCC. She too was excited for me, and said she wished it was easier for people to be banded here. I also did find an after care doctor near by (2 hours away) in case I can not get to TJ. I would still rather go there though, but if need be - he is here. They wont turn you away if you have probs. I have heard though that if its something very serious they just take the band out - I do not know that from experience though. I know if it were up to my dr she wouldnt have it that way, but I think they just do what they have to do to make things better for you. My after care dr is a bit of a conceited jerk though and I can see him doing that.

I always keep enough $ saved to get to TJ.
