  1. Lindsay, I like this new way that you posted. I haven't heard of it before. But I do like it. Kristi
  2. Angie, I say Ditto to all that Carrie said. I read this after you put this up and I wasn't logged on to reply. YOU ARE SO INSPIRATIONAL AND YOU ARE A PHENOMENAL WOMAN! Hugs, Kristi
  3. Carrie, Sending hugs to you. I am sorry to hear that you are having this problem. We definitely want to know how it all goes. Keep us updated. Hugs, Kristi
  4. MsBallard, Congrats! How very exciting for you. Being banded has been such a wonderful journey and I wish you lots of luck with your surgery and a quick recovery. Kristi
  5. Debbie, I was surfing through here and saw the new pic you posted. WOW, you look wonderful! I am so very proud of you.

  6. Congrats on being banded! Keep us up on how your progress is going.
  7. Netsy, It is great to hear from you. I was wondering where you had gone too. Congrats on your Bandaversary! Would love to see Before and After pics. Only if your willing to post them. Take care. Hugs, Kristi
  8. Congrats Larry! And definitely let us all know how you are doing when you can.
  9. Hey Briangie, Sabrina is right in my opinion, you are in bandster-hell. And it could take several fills before you get to your sweet spot, otherwise known as really good restriction. I found that after every fill I would have restriction for the first 1-2 weeks and than my band would open right up. After my 5th, I still feel a decent amount of restriction 2 months out. Although, some days are better than others, I think I finally am my sweet-spot. Good luck. Kristi
  10. GirlBarb, Well, I am thrilled to hear that your band is A-OK, That is great news! Next month is my one year bandaversary and my doctor has a list of things she says she is gonna check for the one year mark. Kinda made me nervous when she said that. LOL.... Anyways it gives me hope to hear that you are a couple years out and you are good. I am glad you are home and your hubby is helping. This is the healing stage, so let your body heal. Happy Healing.
  11. I agree with Cindylou, don't get a fill. You could really hurt yourself. I suggest talking with your fill doctor asap about this problem. Also whenever I have had PB issues, I have gone on liquids to let my stoma relax some. Keep us updated. Take care.
  12. Amber, I don't have any advice for you on pregnancy while being banded. However, I want to say Congrats! That is wonderful news. Hugs, Kristi
  13. It still amazes me that some can eat bread. I never attempted bread. I am still too afraid. I did try whole wheat tortillas and the first time was OK, but the second I got stuck and in lots of pain and I waited a week and tried again to see if it was a fluke and it was a no go for me. Still too much pain and so I will never go there again. I think for me it is easier to avoid it all together. I don't even attempt rice or pasta, too scary.
  14. WooHoo Amy, This is a GREAT NSV. Non Scale Victories are the BEST!!!! I remember it quite vividly. I was at the movie theater with my kids and in the middle of the movie, I looked over at the kids and they were sitting indian style in their seats and so was I. You are doing Marvelous and I am very excited for you and your achievement. Congrats. Hugs, Kristi

    Port Pain

I too have the port pains occasionally, not as often as the 1st few months after surgery, but they can take me by surprise sometimes.
  16. Ashley, Congrats on your one year Bandaversary. Sorry I am late, I have been too busy. You look incredible! How exciting for you with the PS. Congrats on that too. Look forward to seeing your results. Hugs, Kristi
  17. Woohoo Congrats!! Welcome to Wonderland! I agree as well, that re-learning how to eat is pretty much mandatory in my opinion. Hugs, Kristi
  18. Love your new pic. Hugs. :)

  19. Congrats to your Mom on getting Banded! Wow, 5cc's on the first fill. How are you feeling after the first 24 hours of that fill? Take it easy and make sure to take it slow when it is time for solids. Kristi
  20. Debbie, CONGRATS, CONGRATS, CONGRATS!!!! Welcome to Onederland!! I am doing the happy dance here for you. You really amaze me and the fact you have yet to get a fill, you are a Phenomenal Woman, that is what you are!!! Hugs to you, Kristi
  21. Happy Birthday Angie, What have you been doing on this great day? Did you have any special plans today? Hugs to you, Kristi
  22. Cindylou, CONGRATS! Happy News! Hugs, Kristi
  23. Thank you Suzpars and Zoey, I haven't had a TT, sometimes I think I want to have one, but surprisingly, my hubby thinks there is no need for one. Plus little by little it is getting smaller, it may never be flat, but it is ok. It is all the core workouts that are finally making it better. However, I did have a breast reduction in 2004, well technically one in 1994 too, but the one in 2004 was both reduction and scar revision and the insurance paid for it both times, thank goodness. Another really good thing I am happy I did too. I still wear a 34DD with Victoria's Secret bras and a 34D in other brands. So, the girls are good. Hugs, Kristi
  24. Good Afternoon All, Well, I got back from Hawaii on Wednesday night. I was able to spend 10 days with my family there. What a fun time. We saw so many beautiful sights while there on Oahu. We were able to go to Hanauma Bay and swim with the fishies, and attend a Luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center, climb up to Diamond Head and even whale watching on the Starlet. We also did the maze at the Dole Plantation and go to the Kualoa Ranch and take an Ocean Voyage & Jungle Expedition. Then there was a hike we did on Judd Trail to Jack-Ass Ginger Pools and then went to see the Waiamea Waterfall. We had a blast. So I was brave enough to actually get a pic of me in my bikini top with boardshorts. Eekkk.... And surprisingly I am willing to post it and one of me on the beach. Also one learning how to Hula Dance at the Polynesian Cultural Center.
  25. Hi Kelly, Congrats on getting to goal. I agree with others that if you are not gaining and doing fine, I would leave well enough alone. 102 pounds loss is AWESOME!!! Hugs, Kristi
