  1. Hello, Well to answer the stitches questions, here goes... I have very very sensitive skin. I am allergic to adhesives among other things. But I found out through years that I am allergic to monocril dissolvable stitches. They cannot attempt to use any dissolvable stitches since there is a huge possibility that I will get and infection from them. So they have to use the regular ugly nylon ones and remove them. It is kinda odd, and frustrating for me. but that is life. Hugs, Kristi
  2. Hi Robbyn, It sounds like you are doing well. I really understand about not being really hungry. Every now and then I end up with a growling stomach, but other than that I have to make myself eat. Yesterday I took my daughter to a function and before we went I went and bought myself some chicken noodle soup without the noodles & Chicken so I could have something to eat as well. (there was no soup and nothing there I could eat) Anyways I really had a hard time watching some of the people eat the meatballs and marshmallow salad and some other gooey looking thing that I am not sure what it was and really did not want to know either. The good news is they did get subway sandwiches (a bit healthier) but wow, them people can eat. lol... Other than that, been good. I was given the OK to exercise from the Doc. Very excited. Hugs, Kristi
  3. Hello all, Well, I went to the Doctor yesterday to get my stitches removed and I have GREAT news. I have officially lost 26 pounds since April 24, 2009. YEAHHHHHH................ I was all smiles after the nurse checked me in and the doc was very happy. Gone forever and thrilled about it... Hugs to all, Kristi
  4. Thank you DaGreen & Arianna, I got my ticker up, yeah... I love the concept of the ticker, it kinds keeps things in perspective for me. :lb16: Kristi
  5. Hello all, I hope every one is doing well. :lb14: I have a question because apparently I am not as technically/computer savvy as I thought I was. Here is the problem: I went on the weight loss ticker and made my ticker, however I do NOT know how to get it on my page. UGH............. I am so confused. Can anyone share with me the step by step instructions to add it to my signature? I appreciate the help. Take Care, Kristi
  6. Hello Again, So far so good. I am doing well. I have been walking my 15 minutes every day like they told me to do. It's officially been a week since my surgery and thrilled that I have been able to manage the liquid diet. Although on the other hand I have watched the majority of all my shows on the DVR and now not sure what else to watch. Yesterday I did go to the Disneyland Convention ceneter to watch my neice in a dance competition. We walked through a bit of downtown Disneyland and I wore myself out ALOT.. :shok: By the time we went to the grocery store to get a few items, I was in the driveable cart they have there and convinced someone to walk me out to my car so I didn't have to walk. The good news is the lady who walked me out was wonderful and very helpful. First time in a few days that I needed to have my pain meds before the end of night. What other kinds of clear liquids are you eating/drinking? I have managed, but I am ready to have the smoothy drinks. How are you feeling now? How has the gas in the belly been treating you? Did you get or do you have any pains in the shoulder? I hope you are doing well. Kristi
  7. Hi Robbyn, I had my surgery a few days before yours. I am glad to hear your doing well. How was it flying after surgery? I also am doing pretty good. I am ready to eat food again, but can manage and deal with it. I do understand about feeling the full feeling. I can barely sip my broths and in no time I have to stop. Have you had any cravings while on the pre-op diet or since the surgery? The other day I watched a Big Mac commercial on TV and considering I can't stand them, ooohh, I wanted that burger so bad. But, I had a sugar-free popsicle and it satisfied me. Take care, Kristi
