  1. Good Evening. Well, I have two NSVs to share. The first one and the story behind it. A few days ago, I was throwing on a pair of my workout pants to relax in and run around the house in. So I put them on and thought, how odd, they are a little big. I thought, they must be a large, so I guess it should not surprise me. Then later, I was too curious cuz I couldn't remember having those particular workout pants in a large. I looked at the tag and they were a Medium.... Was I ever in Shock that my mediums are big on me.... 2nd NSV: I went today at Ann Taylor Loft to look around and see if my friend was working. Well she was and they were having a fantastic sale. So I decided to try on a pair of pants, so my friend brought me a pair of 4s and they fit. So I thought maybe it was a fluke and had her bring several pairs if size 4 jeans over and, OMG, they all fit. SO then she brought me a pair of the boyfriend jean shorts in size 4 and they were a bit baggier than expected and she brought me a pair of 2s and they were a bit snug, but I got them up and zipped. Woo Hoo... Woo Hoo... Yippee... Yippee... Happy Dance... Happy Dance.... I hope everyone is doing great. Just had to share. Hugs to all, Kristi
  2. Amy, Welcome home and Welcome to Bandland. Take it easy now and heal. Sip lots of water and walk walk walk.... Hugs, Kristi
  3. Hi Kayla, Have a safe flight and great surgery. Outstanding job on the weight-loss! Hugs, Kristi
  4. slimbutrfly, On my last fill, my doc tried to put me to 4cc's from 3.5cc's, and I was there for a very short time. As I was sitting in the waiting room after the fill, the water I was sipping on wasn't going down and suddenly I was puking out all the water. It was pretty gross and painful. Do not recommend at all. Had to go to 3.75cc's. It would be nice to have the big fill right away, but it could really mess you up. Donna, so funny... Hugs, Kristi
  5. Good Evening Babe, When I have good restriction, I can only eat about 1/2-1 cup of food within a 20-30 minute period. Right now I have very minimal restriction which is making it a bit harder on me to get to my goal of 130-135. As for thyroid issues, I know from personal experience that an under-active one can be a real hassle and cause weight-loss to be near impossible. An endocrinologist is definitely someone that should be able to figure out if there is something going on. My new Endo is Awesome! Well, I am glad you are on here and it sounds to me like maybe you are ready to get back on track. So, since you admitted to slipping on the emotional eating, now it is time to cut out the junk food and focus on the good foods for yourself. I still follow the main band rules regarding eating, eat proteins first and then onto veggies. I normally don't get carbs/starches in, which is ok for me. BTW, good idea on the food log. There are some of the others that post their food log here on the site. Might be another way to go too, just a thought. Look forward to hearing about your progress and how you Doctors appt went. Hugs, Kristi BTW --- 43 pounds so far is outstanding!!!
  6. My surgery was dependent on me losing the necessary pounds before hand, I had to lose roughly 11 pound. I think most need to lose a small mount of weight before surgery. Good luck with your appointment.
  7. Shelby, That is great. LOL.. I love it. I agree with Carrie, it definitely made my night. Hugs, Kristi
  8. Cookie & Allison, You can do it. By the way...I love the biggest loser. I taped last nights show and have yet to watch it. I like to ride my exercise bike while watching it. Hugs, Kristi
  9. Amy, Good luck! You will do great. Sip lots of water and walk as much as you can. Hugs, Kristi
  10. Hello All, Well, I haven't weighed-in in a while. However, this morning the scale was at 142. I agree with Carrie, take lots of pictures and also take measurements too. You will be amazed how your body will change and not even realize it. Hugs, Kristi
  11. Hi Carrie, I get it. HUGS to you... I so agree, you have accomplished so much this year. You are doing wonderful and I am very proud of you. Also, sorry I am so late on responding, but ANY time you want to vent, go for it. We are here. Hugs, Kristi

  14. Hi Sabrina, Have fun in Hawaii. I am going in March for a week in a half or there abouts. I will be in Oahu. Which island are you enjoying yourself on? You will have to fill me in on what to do while out there. Have a very Happy New Years!! Hugs, Kristi
  15. Thank you Ladies and Hugs to you, I am home now and very glad to be. It was nice to see some of my family, just not really the way I wanted to see all of them again. I am surprised I didn't gain while I was out there, because I was eating so many sweets for the first time since I started on this journey. I think for lunch on the day of the funeral, I had a strawberry and banana cream pie, most of it, just couldn't eat the crust or all the whip cream, but it was GOOD!!! Oh, and I ate it cuz the place we were eating at didn't have any soup, so I had pie.. LOL... Happy New Year!!!! Hugs, Kristi
  16. Hey All, Well, I will be leaving tomorrow to go to Texas for my Grammy's Funeral so I will not be on for a while. I will be back on New Year's Eve and will catch up on New Year's Day. I am not taking my laptop with me since it is having over-heating issues. Will miss you all. Hugs, Kristi Also I will be missing the Wednesday Weigh-in, since I won't be near my scale, but will post on the 1st, the morning after I get back.
  17. Stephanie, You are doing fabulous! Keep up the good work. Merry Christmas. Hugs, Kristi
  18. Sabrina, Gorgeous!!! Absolutely Gorgeous! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!! Hugs, Kristi PS: Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all!
  19. Sabrina,

I am going for the 100 pounds lost too. We will get there soon enough... :)

  20. Hi Steph, Well, just be careful. You are so soon out of post-op and you really need time to heal internally. The last thing you want to do is possibly ruin the wonderful work the Docs did for you. I was given the OK to work out other than walk at the 1 month post-op, however I still wasn't allowed to do strenuous workouts till 6-8 weeks. Take Care, Hugs, Kristi
  21. Good Morning, Well, I am still at the same weight. No change. Sabrina, Congrats! Hugs, Kristi
  22. VITAMIN E oil is AWESOME!!! I had thyroid cancer the end of 2006 and had a yucky/nasty incision on my neck, and now because I used the E oil, people don't even realize I have the scar until I point it out & you have to look really really close to see it. Infact, I have used the E oil on all my incision sites and they look great.
  23. Interesting. I have never heard that before. Would like to see what others have to say too.
