  2. I just get really hungry in between meals. I try to eat very little (as if i had restriction) but it's so hard, im scheduling another fill this weekend. i might just need very little

  3. it's a detox diet. it's not like a crash diet or anything.
  4. Has anyone ever done this diet after banded? I tried doing it when I was unsuccessfully trying to lose weight. I call it the "all fruit diet" or a 10 day detox diet. Here is a link to a brief explanation to what it is. diet Has anyone tried it?

  7. I know I'm guilty of expecting my band to tell me WHEN to stop eating. But I also pride myself on being able to stop myself from eating, when my plate is empty. I learned not to get up for seconds and to take my butt to the gym after work. I have seen the scale move SLIGHTLY... even though I do work out and eat a lot healthier than before. I eat 3 times a week, haven't had junk food in months and still haven't been able to lose as fast as others. The next thing I that occurs to me is, I NEED A FILL. I have noticed an increase in the time I feel hungry between meals. I can eat more than usual, even if it is a healthy meal. I would like to hear from you guys and compare how you determine when to get another fill.

  9. happy birthday...try being banded right after Christmas and through New Years...lol all those left overs.. I guess it teaches you... "YES, there is food, and NO...I don't NEED to eat it" remind yourself.. (looks like i just got a new status!)

  11. I've found that in this phase of my life, I have struggled more than EVER to lose weight. I have been slowly progressing and believe me,there were times where I just wanted to eat pizza and let the band do what it can. But It doesn't work that way. THEN when I have decided to "treat" myself with something greasy or whatever...my body will reject it. Either I feel it coming up or it makes me spit...So to find a balance with my band I have learned to find a treat that I know is not damaging to my weightloss and is good. I'll have yogurt, jello, 1 raffaello chocolate, hot chocolate with non-fat, juice... celery sticks and peanut butter, or chocolate rice cakes... (not all at once...lol these are just examples)
  12. You're gonna do great. If you can do the 21 days post op, makes ya feel like you can do ANYTHING doesnt it? lol Well this forum is awesome...it really got me through some tough times.
  13. I know right!? it's really frustrating. I just got through my birthday weekend and gained a pound...im really gonna try for 2lbs this week... i really hope i don't plateau every 10lbs, but i don't doubt it. I still have faith tho! let me know how you do, and good luck, we can do this.

  14. I just believe that NO ONE is here to counsel anyone. I've actually learned a lot from other bandsters and appreciate that they can share their experiences. I don't take anyones advice for granted. I understand where BT is coming from, you can't rely TOO MUCH on restriction, but is sure as hell helps. Restriction is pretty much what im paying for, there is nothing I can pay for that will make me work out so i gotta get my butt up and work out. i know someone who is not on this forum and was banded and had insurance cover everything. She lost 75lbs in 3 months, NEVER got up to work out, drinks cola like it's water, and has an unfilled band. ofcourse she is 350+ so the weight is melting off... But when she does get to the 200's it's going to be really hard when you don't get your self ready and used to walking/working out, and changing your food choices. Dama, you're very smart and informational ... lol you can counsel me anytime. and YAAA!! I'm stuck at 194... But I'm still working out and staying on top of it... loosing the inches isn't so bad, even if I do stay at 194 forever.
  15. "PRODUCTIVE BURPING" it happens when you eat too much or too fast, or drink too soon. It also happens to me when I eat something my band doesn't like, like bread or pasta, or sticky rice.
  16. Very understandable. I didn't use the safe, we kept my money in my purse and with us at all times. I don't know it that was the safest option...But I'm very interested to read the rebuttal.
  17. congratz on getting throught the 190's. i was "zooming" through the 190's too... then stopped at 194. But this is another week... hoping to get down to 192 by friday.

  18. I feel some restriction in the mornings. but I'm able to eat about half of what I used to eat. I still think I am able to eat more before I get full. I can eat bread again and sushi. I just want to know if i should start thinking about getting another fill soon. I haven't been loosing much but I have been working out. I feel better and I can see and feel a difference, I just don't see it in the scale, but like I said before, I'm ok with that. I just want to remain at a good restriction level. Did anyone go back for a fill because they were still able to eat alot of food, but had yo-yo restriction? I don't want to overfill... I just want to get to my sweet spot. Thanx!
