Thanks everybody I feel more at ease now and I do like the idea of wearing something to help the tummy area feel more secure. I actually had a tummy tuck in March 2008 and I still have my support garment. Yeah I had a tummy tuck and gained 35 pounds after!

Hi all!! I'm new to this forum and although I'm not getting banded by Dr. Ortiz I find your group to be interesting and full of information. I'm getting banded on February 13th in Southern California, luckily my insurance is covering it! I'm 5'1" and 200 pounds and I can't wait to gain control of my weight. I have yo-yo dieted for the past 10 years and I'm excited about having this new tool. I'm 32 years old with 3 sons. I can't wait to get to know all of you. I was wondering how many days off work I'm going to need. My doctor says I will need a few days but I want to hear from some first hand experiences. My plan is to have the surgery on Saturday and go back to work on Tuesday. Do you think it'll be enough time? I'm a first grade teacher.

Hi Val, I'm new also and not even sure if this is going to post it the correct place! I'm getting banded on February 13th, in about 3 weeks. Your post went straight to my heart and I can't wait to make some changes also.
