  1. i dalia. i would imagine fasting for ramadan is hard regardless, except band makes you need to be exxxxxxxtra careful when breaking your fast ~ chew chew chew and savor savor savor ;)

  2. kim you were in my dream last night, u stopped me from eating cookies and told me to get up and go running, hahahah!

  3. attagirl! def watch out for soda, i cant burp like at all any more so imagine all those bubbles trapped in my belly, no bueno! i miss fizzy stuff but not so much anymore. u coming back to occ for fill or going elsewhere? good luck w it :D

  4. omg that is soo funny, i did a LOT of those too after spending time in japan. five years later, the only ones i still do is slurp noodles, saying (glutteral) 'un' for yes and 'uun' for no, and beckoning people/"come here" motion with hand facing down as opposed to american way, with one finger facing up (if that makes sense). dont know if that one in korea too.

  5. hey you how ya doin one month out??

  6. ok i know im a dork but are u watching "Huge" on ABC Family channel? its a pretty dorky show but im coming out of the closet - im addicted.

  7. omg just a few more days left on liquids..! woohoo! how you doing, did u get cookin??

  8. oh yeah, i am still doing the lo-carb thing. i feel like when i eat carbs i lose all self-control, once i start on the rice, pasta, bread, candy, sweets, etc i dont wanna stop, so having none at all is sorta a protection for me. i dont get the same gotta-have-it feeling with steak or pork chops or veg, if you know what i mean?

  9. Hi Debbie yep I remember. The fill was a pain in the ass, I felt ok at first then got stuck on some bread (ok my fault) but that caused some inflamation, leaving me w/ a pill-stuck-in-throat feeling. did liquids for a few days, ok now. I do seem to be able to eat less, Im hoping the restriction stays and I dont have to go back!

Bummer ur loss is slowing but #2 is sposta get it going ag...

  10. Hi Michelle. About breakfast, sausage wont really work unless I chew forever. I do eggs and flax bread. Its gluten free so it doesnt get stuck. Sometimes I just have flaxbread with cream cheese, peanut butter, or something else protein-y slathered on it. I always have tea 1st thing in the AM, otherwise I get the golfball-in-throat-feeling, no matter what I eat. Yuck.

Let me know if u need ...

  11. congrats and keep us posted with how you're doing recovery-wise. take your laptop, the hotels and the OCC have wifi.

  12. Debbie, so sorry to hear of your loss.

  13. hi janelle welcome back and congratz on being another ten pounds lighter :)

  14. Hi Taz good luck, stay the night at the OCC instead of going back to hotel, let em take good care of you! the surgery is a breeze!

  15. Hello there fellow Bandida.... I tried to PM you but it wouldnt go thru. I live in the Bay too and was curious where you were able to get your fills done in San Jose. Would you mind sharing info?

You can send me a PM if you'd like..

    ~thanks!

  16. Hi Kat. Hang in there... Ive heard you dont really feel it until after at least your second fill, if not til after your third.

In the meanwhile, keep fighting the good fight and making good choices.

I keep a lo-carb diet and im losing quite a bit, maybe thats something to consider?

Anyway best of luck and keep your chin up :)

  17. Janice pardon my French but.. HELL YESSS! Im super happy for you! All your hard work and effort is paying off. Keep it up girl!

  18. Erica, CONGRATS ON GETTING TO ONEDERLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. i dont think there are any other watsonville folks but plenty of other bay area folks. i have a friend from santa cruz who gets fills in monterey. i go back to TJ for mine.

    cheers :)

  20. Hi there! Heres a link to my tuna quiche recipe, let me know if it doesnt work and I'll PM it to you.

You can use egg beaters instead if ur watching calories or cholesterol.. Also, I take the easy way out for the bacon and buy Oscar Mayer Bacon Bits, and just use 1T for each slice of bacon.

    Happy cooking :)

  21. Hey there! Banding went well. Im on day 5 and still a bit sore, but today I hopped out of bed no problem. Ive done fine on clear liquids, moved on to drinkable yogurts today. After surgery you'll feel like you did way too many sit ups and you'll be pretty low-energy. Lots of sleep and rest is good interspersed with walking. The clinic is great and the staff too. Congrats on your dec...
