  1. Can someone PLEASE PLEASE help me? Within 6-8 months of being banded I went down to the doctor's goal weight and was feeling AMAZING!!! Now 2 years into being banded I'm ALMOST back to my starting weight!!!! I'm mortified...

  2. Does anyone have any advice for scars? I have bad keloids, but I was really hoping they would go away :(.

Hi Mariam, I had some bad ones and had cortizon shots. They help shrink keloid scars. I also use Bio-Oil Scar Treatment on a daily bases and use Dermablend Leg and Body Cover to hide them. (Its a concealer for body for scars and tattoos).

Mediderm helps 100% but takes tenacity. also silicone strips are now available in the drug stores.

  4. The lap band has been great to me, I have lost a significant amount of weight and I'm very happy. :) I'm very exciting to keep losing though!

  6. Hello... Thank you for checking in on me. I have to be honest... today for the first time since my surgery I am scared. I have this fear that I am going to mess up my band. After my liquid phase which I completed successfully without difficulty, I feel no restriction. So I find myself eating like before. Today...I feel something I could barely describe as pain. I'm scared I messed something...

    Looking awesome!!!
  8. Still no fill until 6/4/11, but have gained a few pounds a couple of weeks after my liquid diet. Now I'm getting scared! I was so excited about the weight loss after my liquid diet, now it feels like it's creeping back up!

That's what I'm scared about too. I go in for band surgery on 6/29 and worried that I'll feel so deprived after the 21 days that I'll put wt back on. Do you feel hungry all the time?

  9. Three and a half weeks out, no fills yet... I feel almost no restriction. That's normal right? Until I get a fill?

Yeppers! Your band is empty right now, to allow it to heal :) I think I waited the full 3 months (as recommended) before getting my first fill.

  10. Wow Lindsay, that's real good to hear. Thanks! Off to the gym I go!
  11. So far since I've had my band, I have been weighing myself every day! LOL. I have decided that my weigh-ins from now on will be every other Monday, in order to NOT drive myself nuts, :). First official weigh-in: Monday, May 16th, 8:00am. Then we'll go from there! :-)

  12. Hello everyone. I need some advice. Tomorrow is my first day OFF liquids, which means it's been three weeks since I've been banded. I feel well, I have no pain, and my incisions are healing up nicely. Tomorrow I plan to go to the gym... Is that all right, or do you all think it's too early? Also, I would LOVE to continue my yoga classes. Has anyone had any experience with yoga so soon after a band surgery? I'd appreciate any insight you have. Thanks in advance!!

YES...We're definitely reading, and you really are a great writer. We've all had amazing moments, and miserable moments, and for all of us here at the forum, they're been WEIGHT related, but not all of us can tell our stories like you can. Definitely cannot wait for Part 2!
  14. Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum :). I'm Mariam, I was banded almost three weeks ago, and I'm feeling pretty well. How was everyone's impression at three weeks, and what advice do you have for newly banded members? :)
