lock27 Posted May 11, 2008 Report Share Posted May 11, 2008 i got one after surgery to help with the oxygen intake. i had a hard time with it since i could barely breath right after surgery. i used it for about one week and then stop. i am not sure if it helped or not. nebsmom Posted May 13, 2008 Report Share Posted May 13, 2008 You dont need to buy one prior to the surg. They will give you one when you get discharged. I didnt do mine after leaving the hospital but Im young, have no asthma or lung problems and know that if I just take a deep breath and cough a few times a day Ill be fine. I havent had any problems.
