  5. I live in the sarasota area and I went to the St. Pete office bc they offer fluro free of charge. I LOVED THE NURSE! she was awesome! they numb you too- i couldnt feel a thing! I will continue to go to her! Good luck! Make you you pick st.pete bc tampa charges for the fluro!
  6. im not going to be much help but.... banded 2/27/08 10cc VG band first fill at a fill center in st.pete, fl (loved it) 4/10/08- 5cc's I am not hungry-ever- i can still eat bread and pasta (i do not eat a lot) i have lost 6lbs total since my fill a week ago!

I just had a fill a week ago, and from what im feeling-its a darn good one- so i dont think thats it... i think i might be jumping the gun too worrying about it just yet, but im a worrier! You are right, i DO need to start walking again... damn! haha I was doing well for about 2 weeks and had a nice tan going..but we got a new puppy and it kind of went down hill..... I am going to start again this weekend ( i know i know..why put off till tomorrow what you can do today) but I cant "do" today hahah soooo tomorrow will have to do! Im sick of staying in the same size clothes for the past few weeks and on the same number on my scale! I CAN DO IT! i hope hahahah
  9. snowbird, when I saw that you had replied to my post- i actually got excited hahaha i think that you and your daughters advice is always so "to the point" and helpful... Dont get me wrong, I value everyone elses opions and VERY much..but there is nothing like an expierced "bandster" (i hate using that term) to give you some advice. so thank you snowbird! I am eating healthy- and i am not over eating..so i hope that it starts to come off again soon.. i dont know how many times ive heard on this forum that you have to be patient..when will I get it?! hahah thank you again >
  10. eating is becoming a bit more of a pain bc i have to wait an hour before I can drink something....and Id rather drink a lot- then eat a little and then not be able to drink for an hour if that makes any sense! I think it just takes time!
  11. um im not hungry-- but i still have urges to eat. when i get home its the worst, i want to stuff my face..but i dont bc if i do then i cant drink for an hour and its just not worth it to me. your stomach is trained with the band on it..but your mind takes a lot of work to get those thoughts of binge eating out of your mind!!! You can do it!!! it just takes time....im not 100% cured by any means but im working on it >
  12. you arent alone! I felt that way too! A lot of people have problems with beef since its chewy. Luckily I am not hungry, but I can still eat anything I want to so i have not yet had to deal with something getting stuck...remember to take small bites and chew a lot. I have figured out that I cant buy food that I will want to eat a lot of... If I for some reason give in a buy it, ill have osme then give it to my husband to take to work and share with his friends! Try and differentiate between head hunger and actual hunger.. think before you eat. that might help

  14. Michelle..youre calling me out! hahaha jk > My fill is still awesome...not hungry.... I lost 3 pounds a few days after my fill like randomly but it was a few days after my period started..soooo that mightve been it.. Since then...nothing. :lb12: haha I am going to revamp my diet when I go to the grocery store this weekend...soo Ill get back to you next week! hahah Wish me luck- bc if i dont lose a few more over the next few days.... i duno whats going to happen but its not going to be good hahah Good luck on your fill!
  15. I am never hungry..so i kind of already feel full. I drink the slim fast bc i still get some calories and dont have to eat anything bc i am literally not hungry..... When i eat more then what im eating i feel bloated. I emailed Dr. Miranda and she said to eat 3 small meals with protein and cottage cheese or some veggies or fruit....so im going to start that next week - egg whites, cottage cheese, veggies, fruit, lean meats, nuts no more little snacks..hopefully the lbs start to come off
  16. i do like the protein water-but it has 30 calories so i kind of steer away from that..not that its a lot.... how come you dont drink crystal light? or propel? (just wondering if there is something bad about them that I dont know about!) hahah I used to be a Diet Coke FANATIC!!!! and i havent had one since 2/26 so i treat myself to crystal light or propel one or 2 times a day
  17. good idea.... i didnt think about the salt. Im going to go ahead and make some egg whites- ive made them before and they actually keep pretty well in the fridge for a few days....maybe some lf or ff cottage cheese for lunch too?? i think ill re-think my foods (like you suggest) when i make my grocery list! thanks! Im going for 2lbs by next week..thats all i want, 2 lbs! hahaha
  18. Banded on 2/27 First Fill on 4/10...... i guess its only been a week...but i havent lost anymore weight... i thought it was supposed to be 2-4 lbs a week? AND to top it all off- i hear that I have the perfect fill..im not hungry-i eat small meals- for example: Breakfast: 1/2 protein bar and 2 or 3 pieces of turkey bacon drink lots of water or propel thru out the day lunch: a slim fast and then some turkey lunch meat dinner: steamed veggies and 1/2 or 3/4 of a lean cusine Sure, i snacked the other day on some nuts and raisins..but...Im not eating piles of pasta, and then washing it down with 4 cookies and a glass of milk.. and eating chips and having a foot long sub for lunch....What the hell! hahaha anybody have any answers?!?!

I was wondering the same thing bc i like to CHUG water.. i talked to my fill doc and she said that taking big drinks of room temp water is ok... she doesnt recomend chugging or taking HUGE drinks, but she said sipping isnt really nec. I still take small drinks, but if Im really thristy, ill take a big drink. I think that listening to your body is a big thing. If you take a big drink and it hurts...dont do it again!!
  20. I have a goal weight in mind...but not a set number. I remember when I weight 188- i was athletic- looked good- wore a size 14/16 and was happy but still trying to lose. I am 6 ft tall, and i would like to weigh between 160-175, wherever i feel good! I think that people set goals, so they have a big picture to look at..I like to know that i weigh x and i need to weigh y so i have z more to go... i wish it wasnt that way but it is. speaking of getting rid of the weight, i have a GREAT fill so i need to get back on the exercise wagon..UGH! hahah i wish i liked it as much as I used to!

  22. Hi there! I think you are going to get A LOT of answers on this topic! You are right to have the feelings you are having with kids and a husband- and going for surgery, in mexico no less. Dr. Ortiz- is AMAZING to say the very least- The OCC was soooo clean, everyone was amazing ( i would recomend to read up on peoples surgery expierences) I never ONCE felt weird or uneasy while i was there. Obesity is the 2nd leading cause of preventable death..not surgery. You (and i, and a lot of others) are indangering our lives by being obese- and for many of us this is the last chance. The surgery litereally doesnt take any time at all and youll be up walking around within an hour. I am SO proud to have been banded by Dr.Ortiz- he is awesome. Another thing, this is your body and your life, dont NOT do the surgery bc other people think its silly, that will be the biggest regret you make. TRUST me-also- i think you should do this for your kids- you will be much healthier, happier, and you will finally be able to LIVE your life instead of being held back, or have someone put you ski boots on for you! pay the deposit!!! Just be ready for biiiig changes and to challenge your mind more than it has ever been- fighting head hunger is ROUGH! Good luck, i hope that this helps you with your decision!   24. i love the topic title!! That is too funny. You know what they say: admitting you have a problem is the first step! then recognizing when you do something wrong! Breaking these habits and addictions dont happen over night, and we will all have slip ups, but we need to remember to learn from them. Dont get down on yourself, but next time you see those cookies- just think- are these REALLY worth it? usually the answer is no- once we get good self control- maybe we can just have a bite...but for me, that isnt quite yet hahaha
  25. Cylnn: I used to love cooking to- but now when dinner time comes around, its like- i couldnt care any less bc im not even hungry! Dr. Miranda just said to eat 3 small meals a day, but how do i know if im getting enough calories to not go into stravation mode if im not even hungry or eating anything at all? So, when i start getting hungry again then its time for a fill??
