Ramona, don't feel that way about yourself, give yourself some credit. You have lost alot already and you will continue to lose more. You had mentioned about the cost of having fills done. I don't know what it is like where you live, but here in Kansas, I called a couple of doctor's offices that do the lap band and told them I had my lap band done in mexico and would like to have my fills done locally. All of them agreed to do it as long as I got my operation notes from OCC. The first visit (fill) ranges from 455-250, then the fills after that are only 155. That might be an option you could check into.

i understand your frustration. I was banded on 4-3-08. The first week post op I did not lose a pound. I was very upset and down about it. Several of my friends and my doctor (I am a nurse) kept telling me that it is because I was in starvation mode. Well..........they were right. When I got to start on cream soups (I cheated and started these 2 days early), the pounds started coming off. I lost 7 pounds this week (2 week post op). I have started walking the treadmill at night and also think that is helping. Hang in there, the weight will fall off!! Don't give up!!! Best of Luck

Wow, that is scarry. I took the phentermine and was off about 3-4 days before surgery. I had no idea. I am so glad everything went ok with my surgery. Live and learn. Thank God I am alive still to learn. I lost my dad a week before my surgery, so he must have been watching over me along with God. I feel so thankful that I had no problems. I wonder if anybody could answer a few questions for me. I am wanting to go back to Dr. Ortiz for my first fill. I have been told that the fill is free, but the fluroscopy cost. I also was told that we have to pay to be picked up at the airport to go have this done. Is this true? Does anybody know how much it cost for the fluroscopy and the ride to the clinic? Tanya
