  1. Seems kind of neat, but don't know if I could concentrate on my work while peddling. It would be kind of distracting I would think. Then again, I can't do two things at once.....hehehe. Let me know how it works out.
  2. Have you seen Kimmy's legs? They are smaller than mine!!! Way to go Kimmy!!
  3. OOOOOHHHHH YEAHHHHHHH!! Glad you finally got the restriction you were hoping for!! May it last a long, long time!!!!!
  4. Never a Sweet n Low gal, only Equal if no Splenda around. Slenda rocks!

  7. Wow, you look great!!!! I plan on doing the same thing....
  8. I am in the same boat as you. I had my 2nd fill on 6/11 and was fine for the first 3-4 weeks. Since then, I am constantly hungry, at meals, in between meals--especially in the evenings. I am always looking forward to my next meal. Slowly, I have increased my portion size to double what I was eating when I first got the fill. I had been trying to wait it out and see if anything changes, but nothing has, so I scheduled a fill for Tuesday.
  9. So sorry to hear about your sticking episode, I know it can suck....and the belching used to shock me, but I am over it now. Welcome to a banster's life. I used to be a die hard Diet Coke addict to the tune of 4-5 or more cans per day! I stopped drinking it the day I quit smoking and I still miss it (or the thought of it at least). Though, I have to admit that I went to the movies with my friend and she asked me to hold her 64 oz., ice-cold diet coke while she went to the restroom. I sneaked an ever so small sip and it wasn't the same. Just wasn't as good as I remembered it so I probably won't go back to it after 6 months.
  10. You are going to love OCC and its staff, especially the hottie doctors!! Take care and see you in bandland! :lb11: :good3:
  11. Julie, Don't feel bad about going back, shoot....I tried to "bully" Dr. So into giving me 2 cc's instead of the 1.5 cc's during my first fill.....hehe. I was so persistant, plead my case over and over again but he wouldn't budge. I ended up calling Dr. Acosta about a week and a half later begging for another fill-I drove down the next day and got another .8 cc's, by none other than Dr. So, I was so embarrased. They are used to it Don't worry. I pop things in my mouth while passing through the kitchen all the time. I don't know what possessed me, but one night a few days after my second fill, I saw beef jerky in the cupboard. Without even thinking, I put a piece in my mouth, chewed probably twice and swallowed. OMG, it hurt so bad!! It was near the death of me!! I have now learned my lesson for the most part. Although, sometimes I still pop things in my mouth and even start chewing without realizing it, then remembering the jerky ordeal, I end up spitting it out. It takes a while to break our old habits and form new ones. Our band will be instrumental in this process, by letting us know when we have strayed off the path. Take it easy, I hope you feel better soon........and get a maid, you deserve it!
  12. What willpower and way to work your band Cathy!!!!
  13. You look wonderful Kim!! I need to work on my tummy too- genetics.....I figured that I would do the rest of the work and let the plastic surgeon deal with my tummy....heheh!! Keep it up, you are doing great!!!
  14. Thanks guys!! You are all so kind, but I really don't think there is that much progress all together (especially next to some of you guys, ie...MM). I usually am feeling a little down about it, but today I felt a little better, and decided to share these pics with you guys. You guys always make me feel so much better. Ya know..........when I booked my surgery, someone had metioned to me that it would probably only take 6 months to reach my goal. I guess that is where my unrealistic expectations came from, but now I know that is probably not going to happen. I try not to get discouraged and just keep plugging away and be content with losing that 1 pound every week (or 2 weeks ). About 10 years ago I weighed 242, and lost 110 pounds in about 10 months, it seems soooooo easy then, what happened??? It is a million times harder this time around!! Maybe its my age....... Anyway, thanks again guys, sometimes I still need encouragement!!!! You are the best!! >
  15. I too am still in the process of learning how to cope. I have learned to keep anything that can do any real damage away from the house, that means all junk, including all sweets and snack items. I find that these are the things I crave during an emotional time and if there is nothing here, I tend to not want to put the extra effort to go get it. Secondly, as the others have said, exercise helps immensly and has become my new best friend. I usually go to the gym in the afternoon and run/walk in the evenings. Evenings are when I am the most hungry, so I always try to preoccupy myself with another activity during that time. I don't know if you have access to a pool, but swimming is great!! I believe if you take up exercising, walking, or any activity/hobby that you enjoy, you will be out of this stuper in no time, it will just take a while to adjust to your new way of life......just think, all the money you save on a shrink's fees can be put twords a wardrobe for the new you!!!! :lb4:
  16. I just made my 3rd fill appointment for next Tuesday, July 22 Who else will be there?
  17. Hi there, Here are some of my progress pics. I am 3 months and 10 days post op. I wish my progress was quicker, but I learning to be patient and accept losing at a slower pace. Taken a few minutes ago -
  18. Do you really think she missed your port all together??? wow! I know when I get a fill, I can feel pressure when the needle is inserted into the port. Didn't she extract the existing liquid and tell you how many cc's you had in there? If so, she had to of hit the port to do this.........
  19. No problem with bananas, ripe peaches, and grapes. I just take really small bites.
  20. Didn't see this the fist time around. Great info!! Thanks, Jann
  21. Julie-Julie, I live in so cal so I was thinking of driving down to TJ tomorrow for a fill as well, but have already planned a big overnight hike this weekend and scared that if I do, I won't be able to eat anything. I guess I will have to wait until next week sometime. I wish I could have met you there. Anyway, I wish you gooooood luck on your fill!!! It's a piece of cake.. Have a safe trip back, we will be thinking about you.
  22. I was asked the nature of my visit when coming back through and told them it was medical. I got through without incident. They are more concerned with your passport or birth certificate. My friend had her ID but forgot her birth certificate (doesn't have a passport) on our last fill trip to TJ and they almost fined her $400. They warned that if she ever crossed again without docs she would definately get fined.
  23. Yeah, OCC wants to be sure that your fill is not too tight. You don't want to get all the way home and realize that you can't keep anything down. Be safe, spend the night and enjoy the weekend.
