  1. Thanks ladies, I see that I may not be getting enough calories since my 2nd fill last week. I have a hard time eating anything for breakfast and lunch, hence the reason I usually have a protein shake in the morning. After about 3pm and increasingly thereafter, I loosen up and can pretty much eat anything I want to--by then I am starving. I am going to ride it out this week, as it is my TOM and usually a little tighter then. If I still am too tight, I will look into getting an unfill.
  2. I was really just trying to get an idea of what you guys were eating in a typical day......
  3. I take a fiber supplement and vitamins...... you are right not much protein that day, but -- normally I get more. I usually have protein shake in the morning and right after the gym, but didn't go to the gym yesterday.

  6. I just got my 2nd fill last week and still think I eat too much....So, if you are on solids, please give me an idea of what you ate today, or what you would eat in a typical day. Here is what I ate yesterday: Breakfast: 1/2 South Beach Meal Bar Lunch - Dannon Fit n' Light yogurt with 1 small banana Dinner - 1/3 cup Quinoa, 2 ounces of baked fish, 1/4 a stuffed portabello mushroom and....... a SF, FF Creamsicle. I was still hungry but stopped myself and stayed hungry until I went to bed.
  7. I just had my 2nd fill last week and feel the same way. I have a total of 2.2 cc's right now. I have a difficult time eating breakfast & lunch but starving by dinner and can really put it away. I could definately eat 2 hot dogs for dinner if I wanted to (as long as I take small bites and chew, chew, chew) Here is what I ate yesterday: Breakfast: 1/2 South Beach Meal Bar Lunch - Dannon Fit n' Light yogurt with 1/2 small banana Dinner - 1/3 cup Quinoa, 2 ounces of baked fish, 1/4 a stuffed portabello mushroom and....... a SF, FF Creamsicle. I was still hungry but stopped myself. I stayed hungry until I went to bed. I think I am going to start a thread to see what people eat on a daily basis so we have something to compare to.
  8. June 16th - 45 minutes elliptical June 16th - 1 hour run/walk
  9. I had the same hopeful goal the first few weeks post-op....as you can see from my stats below, it didn't quite work out for me either (by far).......hehehehehe.... I think if by some miracle I could of done that I would be 115 by now, YEAH RIGHT.....hehehehe

  11. Ok ladies I have posted everything through today. We still have half a month to go... so for those of you that are getting a late start, there is time to recover and meet your challenge. So get to work!!! I will be rooting for you!!! :cheerleader: :cheerleader: :cheerleader: Because of my injury last week, I am WAYYYYYY behind. I have 15 days to do 18 sessions Anyway, keep up the good work ladies!!!! Have a wonderful week!
  12. I did too... but Dr. Miranda said something about a spoon test. Everything you eat during this creamy soup period should slide off the back of a spoon. I guess it depends how thick the pudding is??
  13. Welcome Susan, I am Lynn from Southern California. Well, I kept the whole thing to myself aside from hubby, friend that went with me and mother-in-law (banded 1 week before me). I initially did not tell anyone for the same reasons as you and the fact that my family and close friends would never have approved of me going to TJ to have the surgery. I just really didn't want to have to try to convince anyone that it was a safe and sane thing to do. I am usually a private person at work, and would not feel comfortable telling more than few close friends there anyway, that is if I was telling anyone. My office has so much drama, I would be just another story at the watercooler. This route has its drawbacks of course, in my case everyone thinks I am pregnant ...hehehe . I had a PB'ing episode last week (big dinner for niece’s graduation) and had a hard time keeping anything down afterwards. This, along with my "strange" eating habits, quitting smoking, giving up Diet Coke (which has always been my signature drink) and refraining from my usual Friday night margarita has led them all to this conclusion. I have yet to convince them that I am not. Both ways have their pros and cons-- It's a good thing that I don't get hounded about my how much weight I have lost, but also don't have the support system of friends and family that I can use sometimes....
  14. GREAT Paula Bee!!! I will add you to the list... So glad you could join us. Yeah, I won't make my challenge this month because I pull a muscle last week at the gym... but I will do what I can. hmm....wonder why this topic is not "pinned" anymore??
  15. Jacque, I usually record only once a week on Sundays to give everyone a chance to post their exercises.
  16. WOW, you look GREAT!! This is what you have to look forward to. Can you photoshop my head on that body???? heheheh....
  17. Michelle, I think you should give a full disclosure --Just because you felt that you were too tight at 2.3 cc's before doesn't me it holds true now. You have lost weight since your last fill, therefore, lost fat around your stomach. I am no doctor, but I venture to say that 2.3 cc's will not feel the same now, it may not even be enough now?? Let the fill doctors, advise you based on all the information. You have done fabulously in your weight loss so far, don't jeapordize your health. In the grand scheme of things, if it takes you an extra month or two to lose your weight, will it really matter?
  18. Hi Erin, If I remember correctly, Dr. Miranda said no exercise for 3 weeks and no abs for 3 months.
  19. Are you sure you want my routine?? Remember, I am the one that is not losing any weight.....hehehe. Anyway, I go to 24 hour fitness. I always start off on the elliptical machine for 45-60 minutes, to raise my heart rate and to burn calories. Then I move on to circuit training, I alternate muscles that I concentrate on-- like every other day I do arms, shoulders and back. The other days I do legs. I will probably add abs everyday when it is safe... 1 more month. Start off with light weights on the circuit machine, you want to "feel it" as you are lifting, then gradually increase (BE CAREFUL!! I really thought I was lifting light, and hurt myself!). The object here is focus and control. Focus on the muscle you are working out, and control the movement. I usually do 3 sets of 12 repetitions. I also pyramid the weights, lower weight, then higher, then lower again. When I was working out with my personal trainer, he would have me do more cardio after the circuit. It would probably be a good idea to get yourself a personal trainer for a couple of sessions to work out a program for you. Anyway, that is the routine I follow, for what it is worth--lot of good it does. Actually, I don't think the problem is with the routine, I think I am the problem! As far as the protein shakes, I do usually have protein after my workouts, BUT, I met with Dr. Miranda after my fill today to discuss my nutrition and lack of weight loss. She said I should have carbs after workout???? She told me to try increasing my calories to 1200 or more since I am exercising and suggested a sports nutrition book, of course I don't remember the author or name. I will have to call her tomorrow..... Don't worry, you guys look great already!!! You will definately be HOT, HOT, HOT for the river!!!!
  20. I am finally exercising again. I really hurt myself on the 5th, so today was my first day back. It really felt good to exercise... I can't wait to get back to the gym tomorrow!!!! :lb21: June 11th - 1 hour Run/Walk June 12th - 45 minutes Elliptical
  21. Oh well... maybe next time. Let's keep in touch . I am trying to save money, that is why I am not having the OCC pick me up. Last time I was at OCC for my 1st fill, it was kind of weird--like hubby and I were standing at the curb in front of OCC waiting for our cab and the "greeter" asked us to wait in the underground parking structure. We said we preferred waiting outside, then he insisted that we follow him inside??? Made me feel a little uneasy, I am probably just paranoid.
  22. I will pick you up, get packed... I better leave now then, hehe!! Might be a hell of a drive from PA to OCC. Anyone else? there are quite a few states between CA and PA-- I could make a few stops. Yes, catching a cab, wish you were coming with me too!!!
  23. I booked a fill appointment for tomorrow and plan on driving in from the LA area by myself. Going to park at the border and walk across. Anyone want to join me? Last time DH accompanied me, but he can't get off of work this time. I thought I could easily cross over the border but all of a sudden feeling a little apprehensive. After all, what "action" happens on a Wednesday?? That last drug dealer shoot out there happened over the weekend, right? Do you think it is safe to go by myself? (I know it is, but just need some reassurance )
  24. Good luck Paula Bee!!! I know this one will be the one!!! <<fingers crossed>> Have a safe trip.... let us know how it goes.
