  1. Thanks guys! I know I haven't been on much lately what with getting kids settled back in school and all but I do appreciate all of your support!! I'll post my 4 month pics around the 8th of the month. This seems to be more a month of inches than of pounds.
  2. It has been a long time coming but I finally dropped into the 150's. I am thrilled with my band but would love to see more weight loss of course. Blessings!
  3. I certainly wouldn't panic until the next fill. I didn't get restriction until 3.2 cm. in 4 cm. band. And even with that I am well restricted in the am and not so much by evening. I am thinking it is almost time to go for a little boost in it again.
  4. Let's let Lori take care of it. And I personally would love to see any of the staff from OCC even if Dr. O couldn't manage it.
  5. No binging for me that is for sure. I did have an frozen yogurt today (small) and could barely make it through. Things like that still surprise me. Usually about 3/4 of a cup of food makes me feel like I had a thanksgiving dinner and I don't want anything to eat for quite a while. Plus I can never eat and drink together or I loose both and I have realized that I would rather drink than eat. I hate being thirsty so I just say to myself are you really hungry because if you graze you won't get to drink for half an hour. I do have to say it took 3 fills to get me to this point. I have 3.2 cc in my 4cc band and before this fill I could pretty much still eat what I wanted although it did limit the binging, just didn't stop it.
  6. Antibiotic for sure. Make sure Dr. knows you are banded and on liquid diet so he gives you right antibiotic not one that is too hard on your digestive system. Since you are on day 9 at least you can have yogurt drinks at the same time to keep from messing up your intestines too much.
  7. Awesome Clynn you have done amazingly well!!!
  8. Vix, Glad to see hubby going and on board with this. He will be as sold as you are by the time you return.
  9. My fill Dr. said it is a combo of some staying in tube, some condensation and some escaping when the needle is pulled from the port. I always have a little less coming out than what went in.
  10. Hey Kim, waiting for the update. How is the fill?
  11. Congrats to both of you great job. I also went shopping this past week for jeans because my husband told me my others that I couldn't get into before surgery looked like a big sack because they were bagging so much. I was down 4 sizes and was absolutely thrilled. Love miles stones. Just wish the weight would come off as easily as the inches are at the moment.
  12. That sound exactly like my restriction. I don't think I am too tight but just right.
  13. I didn't talk to her at all until I got down there and she was fine but my husband was in the room with me and I would dare her to try to be rude to me in front of him.
  14. I am on my third fill and have 3.2. I have lost some weight since fill three and think I probably even need a top up so just for perspective, even though everyone is different, there aren't many who will have restriction with less that 2 cc in the band.
  15. Keep up the good work. It will pay off.
  16. snowbird did you get the scar tissue from having fills?
  17. We did have a forum mate who was turned away on Surgery day because she didn't quit smoking. She had to go home and come back 2 and 1/2 weeks later to get her surgery after she quit smoking so I would take their instructions seriously. I wouldn't want to take the chance on not getting the surgery. http://www.lapbandforum.com/index.php?show...18&hl=smoke
  18. I can never eat bread since my 3rd fill and I mean never. I have tried on occassion and always hate myself for even trying. I also can't eat bananas which I find very strange and a bit sad because I love bananas.
  19. Kim, maybe it is how you are working out. I know everyone is different but for me High Intensity Interval Training 3 days a week seems to bring the best results. I have tried the 7 days a week for an hour or more, I have tried the 5 days a week for 45 minutes, I have tried various combinations of those but the only time that I seem to be able to keep my metabolism working for me is when I do Interval training 30 sec. of hard (heart rate 180 work) followed by 90 sec. of really low interval getting my heart rate back under 140. I also walk and do WII fit but I don't push it on either of these. I do the HIIT Monday, Wed, and Fri and try to go for a leisurely walk daily and do some WII fit just because it is so fun, for about 1/2 hour a day but I do things like Yoga and Balance games more than the Aerobics part of it on my off days. Sundays I give my body a complete break from everything. I don't know if any of this will work for you but hopefully it will give you some change up ideas to see what will work best for you.
  20. Your body may be in Ketosis which will cause all kinds of body odor but it will level out and the odors do go away.
  21. jump up and down with glee when the scale moves DOWN!!!
  22. bummer I have had a few of these and really enjoyed them. Being an x diet coke addict, it was probably the carbonation that I enjoyed so much without realizing it.
  23. Thanks for the advice. I have been eating harder protein in the evenings and is helping but I will try the ice water and protein water late in the day. I already do tea in the morning or I wouldn't ever get a protein shake down even.
  24. I would wait it out. 2cc isn't that large of a fill and it is possible once your liquid phase is over and the swelling goes down you will have no problem at all. For me personally, my truly restricted time lasts around 1 1/2 to 2 weeks and then lets up some. Mornings are still tight but I have to rely on will power alot at night so take it slow and don't rush to do anything.
