  4. If you have it done at TJ they have you go and eat to test the band and make sure it is not too tight. Then you are supposed to do a 24 hour liquid diet. If you have it done at Fill Centers they have you do 48 hours of warm liquids after a fill. You are not to have food for 8 hours and anything for 4 hours. This is for every fill.
  5. I agonized over the decision but finally realized it is just more practical all the way around to go to Denver than all the way to TJ again. In Denver I can have fluro or not and I will decide when I get there. They were very helpful on the phone and I am happy because I dont' have to book way out to get good airline rates. For the others of you wanting to know about Thornton, Co I will let you know how it goes.
  6. I had my first fill on June 20 and nada so I am preparing to book Fill #2. Before I book the flight I am looking for one of you ladies who would like to ride with me. I am renting a car and driving to the border. I did this last time and it worked really well with lots of freedom. I don't need anyone to share the cost but I would prefer traveling with someone walking across the border and taking a taxi to OCC etc. I am planning on going over and back same day although I will be staying in SD for at least one night to make sure my restriction in correct one way or another. If it isn't tight enough when I test it this time I will be going right back accross to get more the next morning. I'm not making this trip again for nothing!!!   7. He didn't have to tell me. I watched to make sure the entire 1.8 cc went in but it just isn't enough to even feel. I have not even had anything really feel like it was going to get stuck let alone actually get stuck and I have tried bread, pasta, rice, steak, chicken, etc. So I know there is not restriction there.

  10. I was hoping to go down the 17th or 18th and will be renting a car to save some money, it cost $30.00 instead of $120. I will drive to the border and take a taxi to the clinic. This will be my second fill and I did it that way last week for my first one. I flew down in the morning, had fill at noon and flew back at 8:00 that night. Being my second fill I will probably spend the night in case there is a problem with being too tight but since I will have the car I will spend the night at a hotel in SD and go back accross if there is a problem. I would love to have the company, Heidi met me at the airport last time and we went together and it was great. After the fill we had the freedom to explore the area, go the beach etc. while we waited for our plane that evening. I loved the freedom of having my own transportation and not relying on the OCC schedule. Let me know if you want to coordinate.
  11. I am one week out from first fill and have no restriction to speak of. Definitely not anymore than with no fill. I am getting ready to book next fill and wanted to know if there was anyone who would like to coordinate to ride with me. Last week, I met Heidi at the airport, rented a car and we drove to the border. We parked the car on this side, walked accross and got a taxi. It worked really well and the transportation only cost me $40 instead of $120, but I don't want to do it without company. I am looking at going around the 17th or 18th of July, anyone who would like to coordinate? I would probably fly in and arrive around 8:30 AM and plan to be at OCC sometime around noon.   13. I use fitday.com and I find it very helpful not only to keep portions right but to make sure I am getting the nutrition that I need.

Lynn, When I am losing best, I am eating the following approx. portions B- 1 egg, 1/2 pc. toast and Special K Protein Water L- 2 Slices Turkey (Deli), 1/4 avacado, small side salad, dressing D- 4 oz. steak, 1/4 baked potato with Butter, 5-6 bites of veggies I follow lunch and dinner after about 1/2 hour with a cup of tea and 1/4 of a Dove Chocolate to feel like I had something sweet. I also drink 3-4 liters of water daily. If I eat less than that I just don't lose. I also make sure to not eat the next meal until my stomache actually growls so sometimes it is 3 hours and sometimes it is six and I never wake up hungry in the morning.
  15. I was a size 4 only 9 years ago which is the last time I was down to goal. I am hoping for that again.
  16. I have t-mobile and had absolutely no extra charges and used my phone constantly while down there.

  18. Thanks Jena those are all great ideas. I think I am going to start a list because whenever I get ready to do it I can't think of what to prepare. Unfortunately tortilla, eggs and sandwiches are things I can't have right now. I still can't figure out why boiled eggs won't go down for me. With other things I have little or no restriction but boy do I have it with eggs, bread and tortillas.
  19. Lisa, You have mentioned several times that you keep food chopped up and ready in the frig. What types of things do you do with this. I have thought about doing it but am at a loss to what types of things to prepare. If anyone else has ideas that would be great, I am not the most creative eater. In the past it has been whatever happened to be in front of me but I want to be more deliberate with my eating now. Blessings!

  21. 10cm means you have a 4cc band. I was confused by that also. ARe you going to TJ. If so they usually give between 1.2 and 1.8 from what I have been researching for the last few months on the board. Blessings!
