  1. The same thing happened to me. Just go back on fluids for a few days and slowly add things back in. Start with protien shakes, than soft foods like soup and even soupy mashed potato's. It took me almost 2 to 3 weeks. I still can not do french fries which makes no sense to me. You have to learn to eat all over again everytime you get a fill.
  2. Did any of you see Lipstick Jungle the other night. If you did you are already laughing with me. Well I knew you could have all kinds of things shot with botox, but I did not know you could have your G-spot shot with Botox. It's called a g-spot enhancement and I forgot some of the other names. Well, if your wondering why? It is supose to increase your sensitivity in that region. In the show the character enjoys a bumpy cab ride with a smile. I did not know if this was fact or fiction. Well it turns out the procedure is real and lasts about 4 to 6 months. I do not know how factual the cab ride effect is though. So if any of you gals have personal info on this topic ....SHARE. If you do not ....well just laugh and than go google for yourself. Ya know ya want to. Have a great day.
  3. One of the girls that had surgery with us went back to the hotel room the next night and had a grand time. Mama Michelle also if I remember correctly enjoyed herself very early in the game. I took my time although I did not have much of a sex drive than. Now that I am losing and feel better about myself in that area....it's on!
  4. Have a blast. Can not wait to hear back. I wish I could go to that little road side taco stand with ya. They have great broth.
  5. Same thing happened to me on my second fill. I did soups and soft foods for about 2 weeks and would try bits of stuff here and there until I could tolerate it. I never ate more than a few bites. I am so glad I did not get an unfill. You do get swollen and it takes some time to go down. I found out what foods worked and what foods did not. Breads-never. pasta's -just a few bites. vegitables- are pretty easy as are fruits. Meats-some good others not so good. No steak or dry chicken. My meat has to be moist. I eat my veg's first than my meat because my meat fills me up to fast. I do a shake or yougurt for breakfast. It has helped me to stay more intuned with my body. I listen to everything it says. Yesterday I went to Mcdonalds with the kids and I got them the chicken nuggut meal. My daughter was not to hungry so I endded up eatting 3 nuggets and I started on some fries. I found out real quick I still can not do more than 5 or 6 french fries. I do not know why fries are such an issue. I can eat a hugh salas and than some protien, but eat just a few fries and I am going to pb. I do miss my fries and I try them every now and than to see if they will work ,but they never do. I guess that is a good thing. You know yourself if your eatting to much. My doc said every time you get a fill you have to learn to eat all over again. You might just need to change what your eatting and how much of it your eatting. It might be that you need an unfill. I would just hate for you to get one and then wish you had not because you have no restriction. Just be careful.
  6. I am knocking on wood as I say this, but no, I have never gotten the lump. It does not sound fun.
  7. There are a few must haves. But over all I would have BROUGHT LESS. I had so much to carry. I did not wear half the clothes I brought. I could have gotten away with 1 pair of shoes instead of 3. It was hard to carry everything back plus what I had bought. I did not have my husband there to help me carry everything. My friend and I both had surgery and we both wish we were not so well prepared. Most stuff is available. Just try to keep it easy for yourself on your way home. I did bring lots on 1's and 5's for tipping and I used them all.
  8. IT is normal to lose some. However, that is alot. I lost .4 on my first fill. She said that was normal because some stays in there and kinda primes the pump. I would see if you lose a large number like that again.
  9. I spoke to my doc and explained to her about my surgery. She gave me a perscription for phenergan to have on hand. She is a nice doc. I do not know if all doc's will do that.
  10. This totally makes sense now. I have been complaining for a couple of weeks now that all my flip flops are too big. I accused my husband of wearing them and he said "why would I wear girly filp flops with flowers and prints and stuff". I now reallize my feet have lost weight too. I never realized my feet were fat.
  11. My body always told me. I do not think I ever measured. It would have been a good idea.
  12. Stormy- I can tell by your post that you deal with depression. Just try to focus on the positve things. You have lost 10 pounds and that must feel good. Also, you know you have this new life ahead of you were food will not control you. It will take time to get over the loss of abundant eatting, but I assure you the rewards are great. You will start to feel more confident in yourself. You will have more control over your life and you will have more energy for your son. House work will not be as physically demanding. All and all you will be happier. But, it's gotta start with you and that can't change until you put on new glasses at how you look at the world. I want this to be sucessful for you. I read this on the bottom of someone's posts or something like it...Weather you say you can or can't...your right. Those are big words to live by. Just trying to wake up tommorow and say it is a good day and behave like it is a good day...even if it is acting. Soon those days will turn out to be for real good days. Right now you are in what we call bandster hell...but it will help to make it thru to focus on the positive. Good luck.
  13. That shoulder pain does go away after a while. I called the OCC after a couple of weeks when I still had it. They said it was normal and it was just gas. It is a good signal to stop eatting even though your head says "go for it". The whole thing about the band is learning to listen to your body. STOP eatting when you are satisfied and not stuffed. I have not been stuffed one time since June 2.(the night before my surgery) There is a good feeling sitting down and eatting until your tummy is round and you feel as though you will not need to eat for a month. But, it feels better to slide on those jeans that are 4 to 6 sizes smaller in just 3 months. I assure you self confidence feels much better than loads of food tastes.
  14. Glad you and your hubby are back. We want details. Was it just what we said? What did hubby think?
  15. I have lower body stregth but no upper body stregth. I am afraid I could not hold myself up and I would hit my face straight on the wheel. lol
  16. Michelle- You look great. Your face is so much slimmer. I was surprised at how big of a difference a few pounds made from your last pic post. I guess the pounds when you weigh less really do show up more. So even if it is slow (not for you but for some of us) the difference is hugh. Congrats!!!!
  17. Mine seems to shift from time to time. I do not think it is anything to really worry about though. I have heard that American doc's often put in right under the scar. Although fill doc's are not crazy about this because it is harder to go thru the scar tissue. But they can still do the fill. You might be surprised at how it will shift around.
  18. Totally potato. I lived on potato soup when I was on the creamy liquid stage. Chlli's soup was the best. Just eat slow and talk more. If you eat to fast or to much you might notice gas pains in your shoulder. Have fun and report back.
  19. This might seem strange but one would be just the fact that I am more interested in intimacy. I never felt like it before for many reasons. I feel like my hubby and I are closer now and he is not so sexually frustrated. He has on many occasions said he is very happy with that. It has been good for our marrage
  20. Do not start thinking about food yet. It is way too soon. You can fast for a good while without complications. But you could really hurt yourself and the band if you eat.
  21. This too is one of my mile stones I have not passed yet. But, I know I will. Congrats. That is hugh.
