  3. Michelle you look beautiful. I only hope that I have 1/2 the results that you have had. You are truely an inspiration to us all! =D>
  4. I was wondering how long I needed to wait to tan in a tanning bed?
  5. Mike, Sorry to hear about your trip home. We made it home Thursday around noon, hubby drove it back 24 1/2 hours, I slept most of it. I would wake up when the gas would build up and we would get out and walk around. I haven't had any problems at all. I start my summer school program on Monday, so I am just doing a little house work and taking it easy. Keep in touch and we will all have to keep each other in line. Heidi, ps easy on the coffee
  6. They didn't ask if I had any body jewlery in, but I went ahead and took everything out anyways just to be safe.

    jello?

How soon after surgery can we have jello? I remember Dr. Miranda saying something about jello, but can't remember when she said I could have it.
  9. I came out of surgery yesterday about 3:45is. It was a piece of cake. I wouldn't say it is painful, more discomfort than anything. Walk, Walk, WALK is all I can say, it does helpt with the gas pains (Last night the five of us who had surgery (Luci, Shannon, Daniel, and Mike) were all walking around the center with our IV carts. That was a site. Only problem I had was that I sleep on my stomach so sleeping on my back made for a long night. The staff here is wonderful. I know I am not even a day out, but I would do it all over again. We are fixing to check out and head back to the hotel. Don't be nervous like I was, you are in great hands. Bless you all for the prayers and well wishes. Heidi
  10. Good luck and I can't wait to meet you. You will love it here, the stay and the people have been so nice.
  11. We just got checked into our room at the Lucerna. We had a blast in CA for the past three days. I don't regret driving a minute. I meet the vans at 7:30 in the am to go for my pre-op. Wish me luck. Heidi
  12. We are leaving at 6:00 in the morning on our way to California. I am offically packed and a nervous wreck. I know that everything will be fine, it is just the waiting game that is driving me nuts. We are planning on making it to Flagstaff tomorrow night, going to the Grand Canyon and driving on to Hollywood on Thursday evening. I can't wait to get to Hollywood. I am hoping that maybe being there will ease the nerves a little. We are going to drive into San Diego on Sunday morning and be picked up at 10 at the airport. The time is almost here, I can't wait to join the other side. Wish me luck and I will keep you posted on everything that happens along the way. I hope to meet some of you there. Heidi
  13. You are looking HOTT!!! Keep up the awesome work.
  14. I will be leaving on the 5th. Hopefully we can catch some rays at the pool or go shopping together. I hope to see you there. Heidi
  15. I can't believe that I am leaving one week from today to head to CA. We are driving out and making a mini vacation out of it. I can't wait to meet some of the wonderful people that I have "met" on here. You all have helped me be sure this is the right thing for me. Good luck to those who are having surgery and keep us posted. I can't wait to join you. Heidi
  16. At least that is what they told me when i had my c-section and i had to take out my "downstairs" piercing. Don't worry, taking it out for a few hours won't do anything. just lube it up w/ neosporin when you take it out and put it back in. Claire LOL Glad to know I'm not the only one who has to remove that one when having surgery
  17. I'm not sure either. I do know that all of the other times that I have had surgery they have made me take out all of my body jewlery.
  18. I am right behind you. It will get here eventually.
  19. :lb13: :lb13: Way to go Michelle!!! You are truely an inspiration to us all!
  20. I will be getting to Mx on the 1st my surgery is on the 2nd. Will you still be there?
  21. I am from Oklahoma as well. I am going to be banded on June 2 by Dr. Ortiz. I have a friend that was banded in Dallas and paid over 20 G's for the surgery. He goes to Owasso and gets his fills. I asked if the dr. he goes to will do fills on people who have gone to MX for the surgery and he will. It costs 350 for the fills and he does the barium and xray. I still think I will go back to MX for my first fill just so they can check their own work and give me some piece of mind. The process is very easy. Lori is great and will answer all of your questions. Everyone on here is wonderful about helping ease the nerves too. Ask lots of questions and good luck in your journey! Heidi
  22. Thank you all for the approval! You all are too kind! > Momonamission- I am getting banded on June 2. Looks like we will cross paths while at the OCC. I can't wait!!
  23. I just wanted to show everyone my new haircut. I cut about 6 or 7 inches off. Hair hasn't been this short since elementary school. I figure after the band I am going to be a new woman so I just wanted to start the process a little early. I have pics in my album of what my hair was like. 2 weeks until I leave for CA then MX!!!!
  24. Do you like tuna? I am having a shake for breakfast and lunch, then before I go to softball (I coach), I eat a small packet of tuna loaded with protein, then for dinner I eat either a lein cuisine or meat and green veggies, no bread though. You will do fine. So far this week I have lost 2 pounds, 8 more to go in 19 days.
