oh no i am sooo sorry that you are ill....i was banded here in san antonio,tx at the true results center and my doctor sent me home with a bottle of promethazine and told to take it at any signs of nausea..i would call your doctor and have him call in a prescription for you just in case!!

only 1 pund wow,..i too have a tea cup chihuahua, she is very overweight because we spoil her so but she is the light of my life, i love her dearly and i know you will love daisy too, my buttercup is always by my side and will kiss away my tears when needed, enjoy her and spoil her!! Now on another note for all you animal lovers...I have 7, yes i said 7 dogs!! i have 3 chihuahuas, a chocolate lab, my sons rat terrier and enlgish bulldog, my daughters maltipoo, 3 cats, 2 hamsters, 4 hermit crabs, a quaker parrot,and a crayfish!! SOooo we are like a walk through zoo here, but we love them all!!!Hubby and i say we cant wait for our children to move out and take their pets with them...when that time comes we will be down to just the chihuahuas, the chocolate lab which goin on 10 years now, 1 cat, the rest will go with the kids!! lol

angie i was reading your stats page and i i was wondering if you could please tell me why you had so many complications with your previos band and port? i am newly banded 6-23-08 and am scared to death that mine is goin to leak or slip! i am not banded through the occ so i dont have the same support group that you guys have!!

well i think my care may be a little different than yours because i was banded here in san antonio,tx at the true results center,..i went for my one week and my dr scheduled me for my one month and said that he would see if i am loosing weight and if i am staying hungry then he will give me my first fill, my appointment is for the 7/22 and i was banded 6/23 so that will be one month, we will see...illl keep you posted...how are you doing so far on your weight loss and hunger..i have lost 15lbs since my pre-op diet (which i did for 2 wks prior to surgery) and yesterday, i do ok with the hunger as long as i eat on schedule, my body lets me know if i have gone over the time that i am supposed to eat ..one problem i have is hunger during the middle of the night, do you have that? my stomach will wake me up and i cant go back to sleep unless i drink about 3-4 ounces of juice!

hello, congrats on your banding, i was banded 6/23/08 and i had a terrible time with the gas..try to use the mylanta chewable tabs..i was in tears over the gas pains and could not breathe well either but the mylanta helps a lot, also make sure you are doin your breathin exercises(if your doc gave them to you)..it took me about 5 days before i could function, i still have a lot of port soreness but am able to function normal...i took 2 mylanta first thing in the am and 2 before i went to bed and also sleep with your head elevated so the gas cant settle in the upper extremeties..hope this helps and you are feeling better.

hello everyone i am new to the forum...banded on 6/23/08, i am due to go in for my first fill on my 1 month on 7/22/08, i would like to know if the fills are painful when we get them?

im was banded 6/23/08 and im with you on the gas part..i still have a little problem with it..try the milicon chewables, they worked really well for me when nothing else would work..as for the rumbling, my stomach does that too,..especially at night!! i can tell you that once i went to the creamy soups i felt better..cant wait till monday when i go to soft fodds though!!

hello-i saw your post and i thought i would see if maybe we can keep in touch, i was banded 6/23/08, so i have not gotten to have that "first meal" yet..i would really love to talk with someone who has been banded close to the time i have so that maybe we can keep each others spirits up!! so far i have lost 10 lbs but have been stuck at 200 lbs for 3 days now,..did you lose a lot of weight at first or is this normal for me not to lose a lot of weight at the beginning?
