Well, I made the soup last night. It came out very good. However, I might have put a little too much garlic in it. But It made a lot, and I will be having it and sharing it tonight and tomorrow!! Thanks again Jann. Tara

This is crazy, but I just discovered Everybody Loves Raymond, so I've been DVRing that during the day. But my night watching includes: Ghost Hunters, Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, Amazing Race, Survivor. I too love my DVR- I wish I would have invented that. Love my Netflix movies too!! Like suspense, scarry. And I'm a sucker for Lifetime Womens movies on Sundays. Now you know. Tara

Ok I will, I just printed your pumpkin soup recipe out. I'm stopping at the store tonight! I will probably start eating solids Monday night, just to be safe. Tara

Ok, now I'm starving, seeing all these slow cooker recipes. I'm going in for my 1st fill this Friday and I'm doing liquids until then. I thought that chicken was a problem food. But being they are in a slow cooker does that make them easier to eat? I have had no restriction up until now, and I know that after my fill I will. So, tell me I can eat these delicious sounding recipes!!!!! Tara

My glue didn't come off. I gently pulled it off on day 21. I guess it would have eventually. But it was bugging me because I had numbness on my port incision and I thought it was from rubbing on my clothes. Well, turns out, it wasn't from the glue. It was my healing process, which the numbness has subsided, but still is there. It's only been 5 weeks. So, all I can say, is don't scrub it. Gently wash areas with soap. Tara

Thank you Jann!!! I watched several of Dr. O. I needed that right now. The fill video kinda freaked me out. I hate needles. But I will get through it. Tara

I would like to know how to make them also! Tara

Starting Creamy Soup Phase
taras2girls replied to BandDiva's topic in Gastric Band Support & Discussion
I suggest using a coffee mug for your soup. It stays hot, you don't eat as much, and it's kinda cozy. You can also visually see how much you should be eating at a time. Sometimes I refilled it, but usually just ate 1 cup as that was enough. Enjoy!! And yes, you might plateau since there is a lot of sodium in the creamy soups. Keep up the good work!! =D> Tara -
Yes, I checked the box for "save to my sent files" and it worked. So, that is what you have to do, otherwise it is gone. Thanks Jude! Tara

I just read it, and loved it. Looks like she got $303 for the picture of the "items" LOL. But did you see all the hits she got on the tally? I love this woman. So strong. She's better off. The slime ball!!! Thanks for sharing. Tara

Hi, this might have been addressed before, but I was wondering, I don't know how to start my sent file. Is there something that I might have done wrong in the setup? I have messages in my in box. But nothing in my sent. I would like to see those too. Thanks! Tara

Thanks for the post. I myself am addicted to the scale. And recently I've been eating way too much. I haven't had my 1st fill yet which is in 11 days. I have been gaining weight, and then I weigh and get mad and eat more!! Well you get the picture. I've put back 7 lbs of the 35 I lost. I know I can lose it again. But I have to thank you for making me realize that I can't keep weighing. We are all going to have rough days or patches, but we need to not beat ourselves up too much. Good job on your quitting smoking also. To do that and diet! wow... I used to smoke years ago. You will smell better, feel better and you skin will love you for it. Keep up the good work! Tara

Ok, this might be a crazy post, but I have to ask. I have this weird sensation on my left side of my tummy. Maybe an inch to the right of the big scar, back to the left, maybe the size of a big orange. I thought it was from the glue on my incision rubbing against clothing, but I took off the glue this morning, and now I'm aware that it is a larger area. I lifted my shirt a while ago to look and I did see a little different color. Pinkish. It almost feels like my skin is numb. And I feel the vibration of my shirt rubbing against it. It's very irritating. Anybody ever have this? I called to the OCC yesterday, and the doctor said it would go away. However then I thought it was just my scar that was doing it. Should I be concerned? I'm 3 weeks out and I'm going to the OCC for a fill in 3 wks. BTW, I'm eating tonight for the first time. !! I'm having Filet Mignon. Cut very small and chewed very well. I want to enjoy it knowing that I'm ok. Thanks! Tara
