  1. Kelly, I am so sorry that you are in pain. You definitely do not derseve that. I have not had any problems, but I do worry that something like this could happen. My husband and I were friends for 12 years first (married for 3) and the only way he has known me is overweight. Of course, now heavier than ever. I love him with all my heart and the thought of losing him crushes me. I hope he continues to support my weight loss. I hope your husband sees more clearly today, keep us updated.
  2. I stayed the same too for 2 weeks once I started on solid, but then once I got my first fill I lost 11 lbs that first month!
  3. And I found that keeping my daily journal and having my schedule everyday really helps. Being on that schedule that you have to follow is great. You have to have the liquids before and after, so get in the habit of writing it down somewhere. It will get you in a routine.
  4. YEP! That is a PB. I have not actually burped when it happend to me (only once). I felt that same tightness, coughed and up came my last bite! Thank goodness It hasn't happened since. I eat very slow and chew the dickens out of my food now.
  5. I lost about 15 lbs and didn't gain any of it back! BUT, I also did not go crazy with my portions once I started on solids. I used a lot of willpower until I got that first fill. IT CAN BE DONE SWEETIE! Good luck to you!
  6. The only Muscle Milk I have tried are the Light "Chocolate Milk" 8.5 oz Premades They taste very sweet, like chocolate milk. I really enjoy them. I am so happy with these I haven't ventured in to trying their powder or their other flavored premades. But, I know they also have a mocha and vanilla premade as well. Check it out. Lastly, you don't want to have alot of these. Maybe 1 a day, somedays you may need 2. If you over do it, you will be drinking a high calorie liquid!   7. I tried cornbread dressing at Thanksgiving (without a fill). Thought I was going to die! Therefore, I haven't tried it again! It might be fine, but I don't miss it.
  8. ALL White bread (biscuits etc.) & corbread, oranges, and steak. I can't eat. Anything else I can have! I guess I could eat the steak if I wanted to cut it to oblivion and chew to eternity. But, why waste money on a good piece of meet and have to go through all that. Honestly, my craving for it is gone anyway, too much work. Christy- it is just going to depend on your body and how it accepts certain things. It won't take long to figure out what works. Be careful with fish. It is so dry!
  9. I know I have mentioned this several times, BUT....the Muscle Milk Light premades are a great way to get some protein! (the chocolate milk shake is great) They have boosted my weight loss. I was drinking the whey protein bullets that have 42 grams of protein like crazy. Now, I am SOLD on Muscle Milk!!!! Also, on the liquid diet I had to make sure I was getting 60 grams of protein because I was having major dizzy spells. IT WAS AWFUL!
  10. At 1.5 cc's I can eat muffins, cake, whatever. (I had to experiment). Actually, at Christmas I did have a full piece of cake (and finished it). It was a small piece, but still, it was great to have it! LOL Before I would have eaten one twice that size (WITH MILK).
  11. Are you trying hot drinks to loosen you up? Same thing happens to me, but coffe gets me going. I start loosing up mid afternoon. I try to eat all my dinner before 7:00.
  12. Christy, You will find what foods work for you and you will be surprised. There are not many foods in my "no no" list.
  13. I was banded in October. My gas pain after surgery was very minimal. I NEVER burp. Infact, sometimes I feel as though I might need to, but nothing ever happens. I never fart either. I might when I am in the bathroom (LOL) but I do not have gas issues at all. So, all of this is something I don't get. I eat everything except white bread and steak. I love read meat, but it is just too much work to try to chew up. I stick with ground meat and I eat a lot of it, and a ton of beans. No gas problems!!
  14. I don't like it cooked all the way. I cook it on the rare side, so it is very tender and not dry. Salmon drys out worse than any other fish!
  15. All I do is my elliptical machine about 45 minutes a day. I also do some arm exercises. I walk my dogs a few days a week.
  16. Enjoy your time at the movies. I went to the movie several times and had water. Finally I was like, heck no! I am saving my calories up on the day I know I am going to a movie! I just enjoy popcorn at the movies! It is a fun treat! I have healthy popcorn at home, but screw it....you want the good stuff at the movies. haha
  17. Hi Hope! This is my Routine and I generally stick with this ALL the time. WakeUp 6:00am start with 2 cups of coffee (I find the heat helps my band in the early AM) 8:00 am Muscle Milk Light 8 oz pre made 150 calories, 20gprotein, 3 grams sugar 9:00 am 2 eggs 2 pieces of Turkey bacon 10:00 am Water & Crystal Light 11:00 am SNACK String Cheese & Veggies (carrots, celerey, zucchini) OR small banana or Berries. 12:00LUNCH Ham or Turkey (lunch meat 3-4 oz) 1/2 oro wheat english muffin with fat free chz OR Chili, Refried Beans with 6 saltine crackers 3pm Snack 7 fat free pringles 4pm Muscle Milk 5pm Water/Crystal Light 6pmDinner 3-4 oz ground meat, ground turkey or 4 meatballs (I buy the frozen ones I found some high in protein) frozen vegtable medley or salad with fat free dressing. 7-8 Water/Crystal Light 9pm Snack Sugar Free Pudding with Fat free Whipped Cream P.S. I REALLY believe the Muscle Milk has helped me tremendously!
  18. I wasn't eating enough either . I went over my food with my counselor at my Fill apt, and since then the weight is falling off. Why don't you list a sample of what you are eating here and maybe we can give you some ideas? Just a thought. Maybe we can see where you might need to add or subtract. At any rate, keep your chin up, your body will catch up and you will learn what you need to do. There is no possible way you can have the band and not lose if you learn how to eat properly.   19. I am on my second fill, I eat popcorn just fine. Infact, i get the kids combo at the theater. lol I love it. I have done that twice, and no problems.
  20. Not sure what kind of restriction you have, but in the evenings a couple hours after dinner I have about a half of a banana. I also will have a sugar free Jello Pudding snack with whipped cream on top. Without whip it is 60 calories. If you get the cool whip in the can, it only adds 10 more calories and they have fat free.
  21. I felt really quick what bread does to me. When I want a burger, I have it in between 2 pieces of lettuce. I haven't slimed yet. YUCK! Feel better!
  22. Sorry I didn't catch this sooner! But looks like Lawanda found my post and took care of it! You will LOVE Dr. Jay!!! I would not trust any one else (except the OCC of course). But locally, he is the man!! Dr. Ortiz gave me his approval!!
  23. I was like 3 weeks late after surgery! Propbably because I wasn't eating, maybe my body was in shock. I had NEVER been late before. Always been right on que. Weird! Back on track now!
