I haven't seen them at drugstores, but they have them at Whole Foods, and GNC's or other Vitamin specialty shops. I have actually used these for years, my Dad got me on Papaya!

That had to make you feel great! I was just banded 2 weeks ago today. I went and got a pedicure the other day and the lady said, Dana you have lost weight since I have seen you! Talk about a great feeling! Congrats! Keep up the great work!

I would just google your area and see if something comes up for support groups. I found one in my area. So, maybe you will too! Good luck with your surgery! I just had mine and I am doing well, I suspect you will do great too! Let us all know!

Yeah, problem is I called this Dr's office and it is a month wait. So, Friday will be 2 weeks since my surgery. So, if I want to do it as soon as I can, I guess I should schedule it. I will probably do it the Monday after Thanksgiving. I have to go out of town that week, so I will be back that Sunday. I really have no clue how I will be feeling, but I guess I need to get something scheduled.

So, next question. If I am doing it here at home, I should do it as soon as the 6 week mark gets here, huh? By reading everyone's 'bandster hell', I think I will get it ASAP.

Just so you know, 2 of my friends got pregnant within 3 months after their surgery. They both had miscarriages right away. This is another reason why they want you to wait awhile, I guess if you get pregnant too soon there are risks to miscarry. When you lose weight it seems it is easier to become pregnant. So, have your man strap it up! haha Or, stay on birth control for awhile.

No, he does not do blind fills. Only fluoro, this is great! I felt good with Dr. Ortiz saying good things about him too.

Hey. I am due for my first fill the first week of December. I have an apt. at the OCC on Dec. 6, however me and my husband are really going over the pro's and con's and the expense. Just wondering how many of you went back to the OCC for your first one? I have a local Dr. that will take care of them for me, in fact while Dr. Ortiz and I were talking he was telling me what a great Dr. he is. Part of me wants to go see the Dr.'s at the OCC just to know everything still looks good. I am just going back and forth, and because this is so close to Christmas the extra expense of travel and hotel is in question. Just wanted some opinions! Thanks for your time!

I think most of us (women atleast) have the 10cm band that holds 4cc.

I have read to wait 18 months. But, I know some have not waited that long. Yes, when you become pregnant you will get a complete un-fill. I have checked it out because I still want to have a baby too! Good luck, I was just banded on the 10th! It is going great so far!

Congrats! I had mine 10/10 and time flys! The liquid diet is not bad, like I sad it is going very fast!

Except Coffee! It is not clear and they gave us that the morning we left the OCC! )
