  1. You are such an inspiration to us newbies! You are absolutely beautiful (you were before too). Anway, your new pic shows this "glow"-you just look so happy. I can't wait! :)

  2. You know what I thought was amazing this year? How the Doc told them what their age really was, on the inside!!!! I could not believe that!!! I was thinking about ME.....being 36 years old and being 279 lbs! HOLY MOSES! I cried!!! It is very emotional....... I am finally doing something about it for good!!! I finally have hope, I can't wait to have my band!
  3. I can't wait to weigh less than my husband. Do you know how many times he has said, "Here wear my jacket." They never fit! Just last night I told him I needed to go find a sports bra for the trip and he said" You can pick one of those up any where babe." He doesn't realize that EVERY store doesn't carry my size (bless his heart). Anyway, I don't think he really realized my size until he saw me weigh this week......I can't wait to put on one of his shirts and sleep in it! LOL
  4. So glad all went well! Way to go! =D> Now the Doc is going to have to pass out kisses to everyone! LOL Get some rest!
  5. I have never picked up a cigarette. So, really I can't offer advice. BUT....my Dad smoked 5 packs a day. He is 64 now, and back when he was 28 years old I was born. He said that seeing me was enough to put them down. He quit cold turkey. He said it was very hard! But, he put his mind to it. So, I guess if you really want the lapband nothing will stop you.....not even cigarettes. So, I would say good luck. But, it won't be luck....it will be very hard work, what you are about to do. I can't even imagine how hard it is.....but, I know you can do it!
  6. Stormy, It must make you feel so wonderful that you have all these friends that are thinking of you and praying for you and your husband today! You will both do great, and before you know it, you will be back home with your son. So sit back and relax and let all those wonderful people take care of you. I am counting the days....... Can't wait to hear your wonderful report, Stormy!
  7. Alot of people on here said the Optifast was terrible.....you might want to do your homework. Dr. Miranda told me to buy Metamucial...........
  8. I really appreciate the photos! Good luck on your new life! This will be an exciting journey, can't wait to swap stories! :o) Be strong!

  9. Hey girly! How are you doing this week? Just thinking about you and wanted to drop by! Hope all is well!

  10. I have a friend in San Diego, Renee, She had gastric bypass. I will see her when I get there for my surgery. She said if she had it to do all over again she would choose lapband because she has had so many complications with her surgery. Infact, she has had 5 other surgeries because of it. Anyway, her friend went to TJ for lapband. I am thinking it is the OCC, but not sure. Anyway, Renee said she went to a plastic surgeon in TJ and had a boob job, tummy tuck, and her arms done for 5000.00. She said that who ever did her friends lapband procedure referred her to the plastic surgeon. I will see if I can get a name. Because I will probably need it after my weight loss too!
  11. So, I thought the gas pains were just after surgery. Do we have them forever? UGH.
  12. You are such an inspiration to us "future bandies" :) Hope you have a wonderful day! Be blessed!

  13. I knew you would bounce back! And in a year from now, you will be a thin and all of these feelings will be so worth it! (actually, you already know they are worth it) HIGH FIVE!
  14. That is so wonderful! I am having mine on the 10th, But.....I will be there until the 14! So, I might just have to come back and see yall! I want to come back and do some shopping anyway! hehe
  15. How often do you weigh? I am not a bandster yet, but weighing all the time makes me go nuts because of the up and down. Maybe you should weigh once a week.
  16. Wow Christina! That would be very difficult! It is very hard to be in a social setting when you can't eat! I will definitely be thinking of you tonight! If I were there, I would be drinking broth or cream of chicken with you. Just know that you didn't come this far to fail! Be strong!!! And if it gets hard tonight, go get on the computer and jump on the shout box. Someone will be here to support you! You are doing great!
  17. Natalie...I have been wondering the same thing. If you figure it out. Let me know! lol
  18. Yes, it is 500.00 deposit to reserve your surgery date. Call Lori at ext. 81 she will email you all the docs! She is great!
  19. They do take credit cards, but you have to pay them atleast 2 weeks prior to surgery. If you pay by check it has to be a bank transfer I think two weeks early. If you pay cash, it has to be done with a cashiers check and brought with you the day of surgery or labs. But, you have to fax a copy of the check 2 weeks prior so they see you have it made out to them.
  20. Hi Kimberly, I am having surgery 10/10. I have already started my pre-op diet. (but I think it is recommended to start atleast 2 weeks before) There are several diets to choose from, you will have a conference call with the nutritionist and she will go over it with you. Depends on your weight and BMI. But, it is something like a shake for bfast and lunch and a lean cuisine for dinner. You have to lose 5 % of your body weight before surgery. You should call them and see if they have openings. I just called a few weeks ago and got mine scheduled relatively quickly I thought.
  21. I love the Benefiber Sugarfree Chewables in Berry. Haven't had my surgery yet, but I take these any way and love them! My hubby takes em too! They tastes great & they work!
  22. Hey everyone.....I saw this post and wondered about them. Does anyone know if she called the OCC and got the info? I hope so! That would be a step in a brighter future! I know it is going to change my life & I can't wait. I am counting the days.....less than a month now! WOO HOO!
  23. Just know that if this house is meant to be, it will happen. If it doesn't, you will find something you love even more. I had my heart set on a place and my heart was broken when I found out it had foundation problems ( I had already made an offer ). Anyway, 6 weeks later I found a home that was only 2 years old and it was immaculate! I was so happy that the other place didn't work out. So, everything happens for a reason. If it is meant to be, it will be there once you get back from Mexico and you have your strength back etc. If not, don't be discouraged because God has something bigger and better. (that is how I see it) Concentrate on your surgery now & becoming a healthier you & everything else will fall into place! (BIG HUGS)
