  1. That is great news! You can make that goal easily! Onederland is just around the corner for you!
  2. Wow! You look amazing! You were beautiful before, but you look so radiant in the new photo. Congratulations.
  3. Congratulations! Onederland is an awesome place to be! Can't wait to see your video.
  4. Yeah, It's just one more thing I get to worry (obsess) about.
  5. Congratulations!!!! I weighed less after both my babies were born, so not every one gains weight. Good luck with keeping off the unecessary pounds. Kimberly
  6. Christy, You look amazing! You do not look like you weigh a little over 200 lbs. You are beautiful. Just remember, Slow and Steady wins the race. The slower it comes off the easier it will be to keep it off. Kimberly
  7. Way to go!!!!! That is wonderful and it is such an awesome feeling to be out of the 200's.
  8. Keep your chin up and that little frog will move much more quickly than you can imagine. You have taken the first few steps, which often are the hardest. Good luck!
  9. I try to stay under 1200. Just like Smiley said, vary it from day to day. It is even OK to go over (a little) some days, if you are exercising.
  10. Congratulations! It was such a morale booster to break into the 100's. Now, just set your sikes on the 180's.
  11. Stormy, It sounds like a lot of fun. I have teenagers all over my house so no pole for me right now, but who knows once they leave for college. Enjoy your pole. Kimberly
  12. Congratulations! Enjoy the ride. Kimberly
  13. Denise, so glad everything went well. I have been so worried about you. I got my estimate from Dr. Campos and I am very pleased. I spoke with Giselle and she is fabulous. I am booking with him for December 10th!!!! Can't wait to hear details on the clinic, hotel, and aftercare. Love ya bunches! Kimberly
  14. I was banded in November. Including Pre-op and Post-op I have lost 75 lbs., but I have gained control of my life again. I still battle head-hunger on a daily basis. Up until my 4th fill, I really second guessed my decision to be banded. I could tell it helped some, but not as much as it should have. Now, after my 4th fill and I hit my "sweet spot", I love the band. It was like, I finally got how wonderful it is. I am starting to look at food differently. It is beginning to lose some of its attraction. Don't lose hope, stick with it. If you think you need a fill, get one. My husband got his band April, 2009. He is kicking my butt on the amount of pounds lost. He is coming up on 100 lbs. lost including pre-op & post op. It has made it easier on me having him join me in the journey. If my band ever slips, I will get another one just as soon as Dr. Ortiz will allow it. Good luck, Kimberly
  15. I have Blue Cross PEEHIP (for educators). It will cover lapband once the 6 month criterias have been met. I was miserable at work, by my 7th period class each day I would have to sit down. Not good! My job is fairly stable, but I felt like a slacker having to rest. I didn't want to wait on Blue Cross. I made my decision and had the surgery a couple of months later. I paid for it myself at the OCC. I paid $8,000 back in Nov. My husband was so impressed with the facility he self-paid and had it done in April. His cost was only $7,000. That includes all surgery expenses, and three nights stay in a very nice Tijuana hotel. He couldn't get the time off work to go to all of the medical/weight loss appointments that Blue Cross require. He was able to get FMLA for 3 weeks for the surgery easily. I wholeheartedly recommend the OCC. If you have any other questions that I can help you with, feel free to pm me. Good luck on whatever you decide to do. Kimberly
  16. I do the same thing. If the numbers seem too high at night, I do a very light supper. Weighing twice a day works for me. It helps me pinpoint what foods are causing water weight gain. Everyone is different, you have to do what is right for you. I tried weighing once a week and I was always discouraged if I didn't lose what I thought I should have. I know weight fluctuates a bit daily, so I take that into consideration.
  17. Congratulations! Can't wait to see pics.
  18. Yeah, same here. My entire right side is a tad larger, from my foot to that fact that the right side of my hair grows faster. Weird, but true.
  19. Congratulations!!!!! Glad to hear it went well.
  20. Good luck!!! It is not an easy journey, but I am enjoying the ride.
  21. OMG! Your surgeon did an awesome job! Where did you have it done and How much did it cost you PLEASE?????? You look fantastic!!!
  22. I completely agree!!! My husband was there April 6th. No problems. He even shopped on Revolution Ave. The OCC is very safe. You will be shuttled everywhere else. Stay in the hotel the entire time if you are uncomfortable with walking the city. I would go back again with no hesitations. Use common sense and you will be fine.
  23. I was banded by Dr. Ortiz Nov. 19, 2008. My husband was so impressed with him and the OCC he let Dr. Ortiz band him April 6, 2009. My husband borrowed the money for my surgery from his 401K. We used a low interest credit card to pay for his surgery. I hate being in debt, but I can assure you, those are two payments that I don't mind making every month. Our happiness and health are worth every penny. I have lost a total of 73lbs. My husband has lost 70lbs. I weighed in this morning at 179lbs. I didn't think I would ever see the 170's again, but thanks to the band I made it. You can make it happen. Good luck with getting the $$$$.
  24. Nicole, Glad to hear you are feeling better. I just can't imagine being that tight. My husband and I are going for a fill on the 21st. It will be my 4th fill and my husband's 1st one. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is the one! I am never too tight to eat, even in the mornings. I can eat whatever I want including any type of bread imaginable, and my weight loss has stalled at 183lbs for over a month. How is your husband doing? Kimberly
  25. Congratulations! I have finally made it to a size 14 and it feels awesome!!!! I have altered a few of my favorite pieces of clothing, but I am shopping like crazy. I buy everything tight. It is a great boost to try it on one month and it barely fits, then the next month it fits well, then the next month it's too big. I am having a great time.
