  1. My surgery was on a friday and it's easier for me to weigh in on Friday. When I weighed in last Wednesday I had decided I'll weigh in on fridays but still post it in the Weigh in Wednesday area. Update this to let us know if you'll start a friday one also.
  2. Aaaaw!! So glad you're husband came around. He'll be imperfect at it.. just keep encouraging him.

  3. 2 Fiber Gummies Breakfast: 1/4 c oatmeal 1/8 cup blueberries and cherries Lunch: Tomato Pie Kumquats 3 slices deli turkey Dinner 1/2 cup Sausage and White Bean Stew *recipe will be in Recipes section of forum 1/2 multigrain roll kumquats 2 cups popcorn Walked 2 miles on treadmill 70oz water
  4. Sounds like you're on the right track then. I'm taking baby steps too. Well, baby waddles.. 20 lbs down and they'll be steps again. You have me thinking about my 30 boxes in the garage I have yet to unpack. Dang.. now next time I'm hungry Ima have to go open one.
  5. Oh brother! Have a drink and settle down. lol Grats on being down 19 lbs btw.
  6. I was thinking the same thing. I stopped giving them to my son when I found the pizza one was almost 700 calories. I don't know what the others are though. Good for you LittleRoo on saying "no" to ice cream. Also, I ate turkey sausage and it went down fine. Seems everything is going down. I had some popcorn today, a piece of bread a few days ago, and some rice. Granted it's all small quantities and I chew chew chew, but no problem yet. I don't know if you watched Dr. Miranda's webinar but I finally got a chance today. It was great. When she put up how much we are to eat in a day I was thinking I wouldn't be able to eat that much. Anyway, very good info on eating healthy. For now I'm trying to cut out processed foods where I can. They're still sneaking in but I am eating much less of them. You'll get through this. It seems like you are really trying. Take some of your family favorite recipes and see if you can tweak them. Google them and add the words "weight watchers" or "low calorie". Good luck!
  7. LOL! Come to think of it.. my horses didn't have saggy skin either! In fact, I don't recall EVER seeing a horse with crows feet!
  8. I wonder if it's because you were more swollen after surgery than from a fill. Not sure.. just thinkin' that might be it. *ducks a blow*
  9. Dr. Ortiz recommended white wine the day after surgery? He just told me that alcohol was empty calories and not to drink my calories. I'm cornfused.
  10. I'd love to try this. But I'm not ready for lifting yet. I sprayed weedkiller and holding that jug hurt my tummy. I've got to find out when it's safe to lift. Anyone know off the top of their head?
  11. B2010, thanks so much for posting this. I've had terrible problems with anesthesia also. So much that when having back surgery I was more terrified of the anesthesia and that was a scary experience waking up surrounded by a medical team with everyone saying "Ok.. ok.. here she comes" when I started coming to. Then the shaking, terrible chill from my core, and nausea starts and at least a full day of being out of it. I told all of this to Dr. Ortiz and he assured me that I wouldn't have that problem and then took me and my husband the back for a tour. He had just finished his surgeries prior to meeting us and these two women were already up and around walking! I couldn't believe it. When I had my surgery I was up and about right away. Thank you so much for describing it so well and for posting it.
  12. I thought I read somewhere that those with lower BMI's can plateau for longer periods. I could be wrong though. But anyway, congrats on your successes! I can't wait until I'm 20lbs down.. then 30.. then 40.. then 50.. then SKINNY!
  13. 2 Fiber Gummies 1/4 c Oatmeal Blueberries 1/8 cup 4 slices shaved turkey Lunch: Tomato Pie 1/4 cup Broccoli 1/4 c blueberries/cherries Dinner: 2 grilled chicken wings 1/4 cup of broccoli 1 spoonful of beans 2 spoons of rice 2 cups popcorn (no butter) Walked 3 miles on treadmill
  14. So glad to hear you're doing well! Lucerna has in room massages I've heard.

  15. Aha!! I found it! It was in my blog. I know those aren't read as much as the forums. I tend to lose track of where I answer what. And it was in response to someone else asking that. Hence, my confusion. Remember, I'm eating way less *sucks in cheeks* and I have a bad memory anyway. Here is my looong blog about no foodz at the 17 day mark. http://www.occforum.com/index.php?app=blog&module=display&section=blog&blogid=168&showentry=500comment341
  16. I lost 11 lbs the first 2.5 weeks, which was last Wednesday. I had my surgery on a Friday and I didn't like the 1/2 week so I'm now going to start weighing myself on Fridays. My next weigh in is this coming friday and I'll try to let you know. I have a bad memory so forgive me if I forget but feel free to PM me. It should be on my ticker. I'm not including weight lost on my pre-op diet which was an additional 10lbs. Truthfully, I'm terrified of going a full week and a half without weighing myself. If I did that in the past I would have spiraled out of control in that short of time. Plus I'm very nervous about yesterday. I got weak and ate more than I have in some time and am wondering what that could have done. There are so many old habits and emotional ties to food and junk that still need to be broken. I'm looking forward to the scale being an aid and not an enemy and something to be feared. I'm not even 1 month into this so I'm still working out all the bugs.
  17. I haven't noticed an increase in acne but what you're saying makes sense. The acne I get is hormonal, along my jawline and neck. Menopause AND zits! How unfair is THAT?! What I did notice on my liquid diet was clearer skin and eyes. I have rosacea and the whites of my eyes get pretty red. All that cleared up on my liquid diet. So, I'd say drink plenty of liquids to keep yourself flushed out, especially if you're releasing toxins. I'm also drinking plenty of green tea right now which is supposed to help with releaing toxins. My favorite is Genmai Cha tea. It has a smoother nutty flavor. And it smells awesome! http://www.howtodothings.com/health-fitness/how-to-use-green-tea-for-better-health http://www.green-tea-expert.com/genmaicha-tea.html I don't know about you but I'd rather be skinny with zits than fluffy with clear skin. Makeup don't hide my belly!
