  1. I am puzzled as to why you did not make a return trip to OCC when you were having problems? Why in the world would anyone throw up for 6 months? I honestly am not judging at all. With this wonderful tool (lapband) there is so much information given at the time of the surgery and this forum, it's hard for me to understand.

I had my surgery May of this year (2010). I just received my second fill. The results are amazing, I recommend the LapBand to anyone who asks how I am losing my weight. I work with a girl that has a lapband and she (knowingly) kept getting fills so she could lose her weight quickly...she ended up in the hospital with malnutrition, heart palpitations...

Anyway, I did want to say the LapBand is an amazing life changing tool...it needs to be used properly....

Good luck with your new journey....stay safe!

  2. Good job, I find I put my exercising to the back burner...and need to focus more on this...mmmmm, I guess i should start next week??? ha ha...I do try to walk as often as possible, take stairs instead of the elevators...but really need to get into a routine. As long as we lose a pound or so a week, i am happy happy happy....26 lbs to go for goal weight! Keep up the good work and exercise!

  3. my family calls it "Jellyfishin".....I avoid it all cost...you will know what works and what doesn't as far as eating. We had our first office luncheon, I was very careful chosing what I ate and ate very little....we went at 11:00 a.m. and that's still a little early for me to eat solids.....my stomach is tight in the mornings. Anyway, I did fine. A plastic baggie is a good thing to carry around for an emergency situation, I've not experienced this but maybe 5 or 6 times since my surgery May 20...it is uncomfortable just remember to chew your food very good... There are five of us banded in my family...some since 2003, it is a life changing experience...I love it and so happy I've had the band surgery! Good luck...just remember the first "jellyfish" is probably the first of many to come
