  1. Also, I've heard different people say that they had fills without fluro and they were stuck 3 or 4 times before their port was found. I'm leary to get a fill without fluro.
  2. Last I heard, Dr. Romero wasn't there anymore :lb12: He did my first fill in May. I hear that Dr. So is good and a really nice guy..... I'll be finding out soon.
  3. Lookin' good honey!! Keep up the good work!! =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
  4. Ha Ha Brian's gone!!! I think his head got a little too big too fast! :girl_dance: Wonder who Jessie will put up???
  5. Are you taking biotin??? I started taking it before I had surgery and am still taking it. I haven't had any hair loss except normal loss. Not sure what you can do.... do you have a hair dresser you trust? If so, maybe give her\him a call. Best wishes, Darlene
  6. OMG Kimmie.... I LOVE BB!! I started watching the 2nd season and got hooked! I love how they're back dooring whats-his-name.... he's so smug, thought he had everyone under his thumb! I hope they don't back down and end up voting out Renny [not that I care for her either,] but she's no threat. It's comming on here in about 40 min. and I'll be glued to the TV! Hubby's pissed cause he's on second shift this week and missed last night and will miss tonight's show. GO BB!!! :cheerleader:
  7. Good luck Cathy! I hope your restriction holds up! >
  8. What every body else said!!! And I'll add an extra WOW!!
  9. Have fun and sending best wishes for a great fill!! >
  10. I did the same thing.... took pix before surgery and then again just recently and I can't see a difference. Maybe we're just too hard on ourselves? Hubby says he can see a difference, but he know's there'll be a penelty if he's not nice.
  11. Ya, but the OCC recommends you stay one night to see if your fills OK. I buy the package and spend on night and fly home the next day. Second fills and beyond, doc says to eat something that day to see if you can eat and drink OK.
  12. I would guess that it would come from pushing your pouches limits every day, several times a day over a period of time?? I heard that drinking soda [or pop] can cause it and also drinking while you eat.
  13. :lb24: :lb10: :lb13: :lb16: 10 POUNDS!!?? YEAH!!!!!
  14. That's awesome!! We already knew how great Dr. O is, and now Gremany knows!! Isn't that something that a doc in Germany will do fills for a patient of Dr. O's, but the US docs don't want anything to do with us!! Welcome back and so glad you had a nice trip! =D>
  15. So glad to hear that all's well with your sister! Can't wait to hear about your fill!! > Step on sista!!! =D>
  16. Let me tell you something that recently happened to me concerning finding a local fill doc.... I called an office close to me and asked about getting fills. As soon as I said I was banded in Mexico, I was told "NO". I asked "why not?" and her reply was... "It's like if someone takes a Sony item to a Panasonic factory to be fixed, they don't want to work on another company's item." What really got me is in the next breath she gave me the name of a "new" local doc who would do my fills. He has 2 whole surgeries under his belt and hasn't done any fills yet [other than practice ones, I'm sure] He must not have heard the Sony, Panasonic story, eh? Needless to say, I'm heading back to TJ on the 29th!!!
  17. You all are so crazy!! I wouldn't change this forum for the world!!
  18. OMG, what a hurdle!! Give yourself a big pat on the back!
  19. That doesn't even sound right.... he was trained by Dr. O???!!! I bet he doesn't know either! I've been there though, I tell them I was banded in Mexico and they say the doc won't touch anyone banded in Mexico! It makes me feel like I diseased or something!! I hope your Mom talks to the Doc and he agrees to take you on as a patient.... I'd be saying something to that receptionist! Best wishes, Darlene
  20. I've been lucky and only PB'd a few times at home. I'd be mortified if it happened in public, there's no way to hide what's happening. Like they said.... small bites and CHEW!!
  21. Love the 'stache!! So cute!! Love the Kitties!
  22. She looks like a real sweetheart and I sure hope she's feeling better soon!!
  23. Email Dr. M, she'll help you out! Everyone has worry's and concerns before surgery, it's OK. I've only ever had heart burn a few times in my life [sour stuff seems to be the problem] but I've not gotten it since being banded. You can eat around the band, everyone can. You just have to make up your mind that you're not going to do it. I get me second fill on the 29th and hope that I'll be able to eat less. Right now I can eat just about everything and I can eat it quickly. I'm modifying my behavior slower than most, but I'm doing it! You will too, don't worry. Chin up and positive thoughts! ((((HUGS)))) Darlene
  24. Missed you Jim... welcome back!!
  25. I do have candy from time to time. I think that if you deprive yourself totally, then you tend to binge. I'm not a big candy eater, thank goodness. My boss called me this morning to tell me that I go back to work August 18th. [i'm laid-off right after Easter] I work in a chocolate factory. I'm glad I'm not a real big candy eater, but trust me I ate way more than my fair share! I don't think I'll have a big problem staying away from it [well, not eating it] but there is one treat that I'm gonna have trouble with..... our chef makes his own carmel corn and we put it through a chocolate drizzle. OMG!! I'm stuffing it in as fast as it's comming down the line!! I will have to think of it as the enemy now! I think you did really well Julie, just get rid of the rest.
