  1. Wahoo, yippee, and rock that dress, girl! Have a blast at your reunion!!
  2. Hey Kristi! Great start--you're doing awesome!!
  3. Welcome Kristi! Thank you for your introduction. You will find many friends here--and we are all pulling for each other. I feel bad for you that you didn't go to OCC. They are the greatest (bias noted here-haha) and really make it an awesome experience for their patients. So where are you weight-wise? Did you just get your band? Have you lost any weight yet?
  4. Hi Mackenzie! Welcome back!! I think we were banded around the same time last year (Feb '08). How exciting for you to have a baby on the way. I hope you are well and get some relief from the 'sticky' band. It is frustrating when we can't even get good food down. Please take care and come back and post more often.
  5. I couldn't agree more--you look like the hot baby sister of the lady in your "starting weight" photo!
  6. Hey Christy! Your new picture is AWESOME! Love love love it!!
  7. Hey ksk! I know it is a mix of emotions. I hope your insomnia is due to excitement and not fear. Like so many of us, once you are on the other side of this you will wonder why you were worried. All here are pulling for you to be a success with this--and if you are going to OCC you could not be in better hands. We're all excited for you!!
  8. I was wondering the same thing. How in the world did you make it back to Canada sitting on the plane?
  9. Hey Robbyn and Shiney! So glad you guys are healing and coping with the post-op. I know it is hard because of the pain, but be careful to monitor your fluids and protein intake. The lack of either of those two things will often cause the weakness/dizziness you are talking about. All in all it sounds like both of you are doing great!
  10. Girl, you are amazing in so many ways!!
  11. Denise--are you going to Dr. Quiroz/Cosmed also?
  12. Welcome back! Glad everything went well and you're healing nicely--well on your way to "yummy mummie" . Dr Quiroz sounds wonderful.
  13. If you go to a Fill Centers USA provider, they not only weigh you, but you also get a body composition printout.
  14. HI Kay-- LBL = Lower body lift BL = Breast lift BA = Breast augmentation
  15. Hey Christy! I just had my third fill and the scale has (thankfully) started moving again. I don't have as much in my band as some, but yeah, everybody is different. Here is a really good post from Lisa from another thread called "Plateau". She talks about mixing it up a little bit, changing your biggest meal or workout to another time of day to confuse your body a little bit. http://www.lapbandforum.com/index.php?s=&a...ost&p=70450 Good luck--you can do it!!
  16. My daughter and I had the same thing, but basically only within the first week. Not much fun. I take a probiotic daily, like Nicole had suggested. I think they give you an antibiotic to ward off any infection, and that can mess with the normal balance of bacteria in there and result in diarrhea. (I take Primal Defense, by a company called Garden of Life, if that helps )
  17. Glad you are happy with your results so far. Were you getting a consultation on other plastic surgery? Which filler did you get?
  18. You are an inspiration--and so funny! Who'd have thought that "6-inch heels" would ever be considered workout gear! Love it!!
  19. Ok girl, it's the 24th--spill on how it went. We're all here wondering how you are doing!
  20. I received my bodybugg a couple of days ago, set it up (easy easy easy) and have been using it. WOW! This thing is so cool. Better at my food with it as well, since it is a food log also. Thanks so much Louise for telling us about it. I love it!
  21. I had only heard of folks going to Cosmed for plastic surgery. I did not know they did the lap-band. Congratulations on your success so far. It sounds like you chose the right doctor for you.
  22. I was set to submit my paperwork to a doctor here in south Florida who was charging $24,500. I hit on post on this forum as I was doing a google search to make sure he didn't have any negatives out there anywhere. The rest is history. My daughter (age 13 at the time) and I traveled to Mexico, where both of us had the surgery, shopped, etc., for slightly more than half of what it would have cost for only me to get the lap-band here. In addition, I had done a bit of research on the lap-band. There was a good amount of pre-op that was required with the local doctor, which included monthly meetings, dietition consultation, psychological consultation, spiritual consultation, etc. It truly was much easier to work with the OCC (and they were so much nicer).
  23. So glad all went well!!
  24. WOW!! You're pictures are so compelling! And you are still swollen? Girl, you're a-smokin'!! With Denise going next, they will have to rename this the "HOTTIE FORUM"!
  25. Hey Louise! You are amazing! I'm still marveling at the 4.0--congratulations and "Way to go"! I worked with a lady that was on high-dose steroids for serious chronic asthma. She had always stated her hunger as "I could eat the chair--and the table". I agree that you did great by not gaining weight. Now that you are losing again--look out world! Thank you again for the great information about the bodybugg. I can't wait until mine gets here.
