  6. Yes, I have the same problem...It used to be diet cokes...but when I decided to have surgery, I stopped with the Carbonated drinks period, and I am strictly water and tea, now...but while I 'm eating I have a cup of water in front of me and if I feel I have to have a drink, I take a sip at a time....thoughts the best I can do right now...hopefully it will get to where I can let drinking water go completely while eating....Good Luck to Us!
  7. Thank yall for your responses....My mom's passing was suddenly and she was only 47. My mom was so full of life and love...its very hard...but Her passing is the reason I was able to have my surgery so fast....so I say that was her last gift to me:).....I wish I had one more time to say I love you, Mom and hold her hand...but we will meet again with our Heavenly Father! > Thanks again...and anyone with sizes 18-26 let me know....
  8. I started in a size 32 and I am in a 26 now...some 24's are starting to fit me....I'm open to buy clothes from anyone between sizes 26 to 18.....Everything I'm wearing right now is to big, but everytime I go buy something it doesn't fit long! Yea!! My Mom passed on Jan.4, and she was a size 16...so I'm looking forward to being able to wear her clothes....This was her life long dream..for me to loose weight...So, Here's to my mom and all your moms who worried about you being over weight!! Thanks Michelle for the great Idea! Your Great!!
  9. Girlfriend, Don't be scared of that scale or tape measure!! Treat yourself to a peek!!
  10. Thanks Michelle for Sharing your info!! Your always helpful...Your banded friend, Misty
  11. You were a lot kinder than I would have been! The OCC sounds great! I wish I could have went there and saved me some $$$, but I was banded by a doctor in Houston, Texas...He is Awesome! but if you have to pay cash, I would say call the OCC....Good Luck!
  12. I am so sorry for your loss Jim....I will be praying for you and your family...God will carry yall through this time...
  13. I eat popcorn with no problem....I eat one piece at a time and chew,chew,chew.....The band is a tool to help you achieve a life long goal....things you won't be able to eat and enjoy right now, you will probably be able to enjoy when your goal has been met!! No Regrets Here!! >
  14. Good Luck! Its a breeze, you will do GREAT!! See you in BandLand!! Have a safe trip!
  15. I read some post in the past where their fill kicked in a week or two later! So don't give up or be discouraged!!
  16. Somedays I can eat scrambled eggs...other days they don't go down so easy??Not sure why.....don't do boiled eggs..so don't know about those??
  17. I would be checking that doctor out! I get my fills without Fluro and my doctor knows exactly where to stick me everytime.....Especially since the nurse admitted to them having a LOT of complaints! That don't seem right...I've had 2 fills and both went very well! Good Luck...but I would check into the doctor and former complaints!
  18. Hey Reallyshygirl, When I was banded I weighed 333 lbs....I had my surgery performed in Houston Texas by Dr.Felix Speigal...I didn't find Dr.Ortiz website till after the fact...However, Dr.Speigal is awesome and I know he performs surgery on individuals over 333 lbs....If Dr.O does it you may save some $$$(unless using insurance)....The only thing I had to do different then most people that uses Dr.Speigal is stay the nite, this was due to my sleep apnea....Good Luck....
  19. Good Luck with your new fill! thanks for sharing....
  20. Hey Kimberly how do yall add yall's before and after pics??I'm still trying to figure this out... :-?
  21. > Hugs out to you! Amazing what a little band can do for us!! =D> Keep that positive attitude!
  22. The only thing I've noticed with my cycle is my band seems to get tighter at this time?? :-? but other that that nothing has been affected....Good luck with that issue!
  23. I'm sorry your having such a difficult time....but remember you are NOT alone....We all suffer from the addiction of Food or we wouldn't need the band...Everyday when I get up it is going through my head, what can I eat today for lunch, then after lunch, what can I eat for supper....It's a never ending cycle...I just try to follow my guide lines set by my doctor as for as my band goes....When I eat what I call real food(my favorites) I make sure to eat on a saucer, or if it is fast food, Like McDonalds for instance is my favorite cheeseburgers, so I will order me a cheeseburger and take the bread off and eat the rest...Its little things like that, that make a big difference....Don't be so hard on yourself...to us eating is a habit and an addiction, then on top of that we have to have it to survive....so just take it one day at a time.... have you tried talking to a dietician? I'm trying to find one near me, just so I can get some tips on healthier eating! The band is our Tool to a better us and a better life for us and our family...Just when you feel like overeating think of what you have sacraficed for the band and that will also help get your mind on track....Cheer up!! It's going to get better.....I hope this is a little comfort for you! Your Banded Friend, Misty >
