  2. Well, I recieved alot of emails and pms from alot of you ready to come to Vegas to kick it. If your recall, my post some weeks ago. Well September I thought would be a good month because the heat will have died down. The high today was 101. I would like some feed back if September will be good for some of you. I'm looking at about 25 folks...to hang out and do Vegas....just pure fun. Once we decide on a date in September...I will have the hotel set. Please email me, if you would like to help out or any ideas at lawdiva2006@yahoo.com Remember this is the Meet and greet not the Forum 2009 get togather....of which I plan to attend too! Monet
  3. Hey Lori, When in doubt....pick up copies of the "guildlines so that you have them handy! Sorry.... I though I was talking to Claire... Monet
  4. Hi Donna, What kinds of meds are you taking? Taking meds can slow up your weight loss. It is not always about food. Some may not have health problems and so the sensitivity to those matter are never address. Blood pressure meds, Diabetic meds and alot of other meds will slow up your weight loss. You said that you hurt yourself.....was that just that day....or did I miss something? I would suggest that you take your measurements to get your mind off the scale. Sometimes inches are coming off but not the pounds. One last thing what size is your band and what was your last fill amount? Hope that helps.....keep moving, your going fine! Monet
  5. Lisa,

It amazing the liberties of others.....at least you got your props.....you deserve every bit of it!

  6. Monet Keep Up the good worK!

  7. Hey Claire, The guildlines are the manner in which you should eat. Protiens first, then veggies and then fruit. Not to eat and drink at the same time. Not to drink your calories. Monet
  8. Caroline, Remember the band has a mind of it's own and never compare yourself with no one. All our bodies are different and so we get different results....age is another factor. In my twenties......I was not fat but could get pound off in a minute. Keep us posted on how your doing! Best wishes!!!!!! Monet
  9. Lisa......girl you are the BOMB......GLAD TO KNOW YA! Monet

  11. Hey Claire, Evette is right.... the band has a mind of it's own. Just follow the guidlines and master that, and the weight or iches will come off. Remember to not disregard the inches, they mean alot! Best wishes Monet

  17. Bandgroupie, Do we have any word on if the Surgeons or OCC staff is coming? I believe that will make or break the SD location. I have some hot offers for hotels for Vegas...... keep me posted. Monet
  18. Understanding your restriction is the key to your band! I have had 3 fills: 1.8, 2.3 and now 3.0 and I too have noticed that restriction varies at times. From my experience: 1. The fluid in the band during the process of a fill or upon pulling out the needle, fluid, and or air can be loss thus affecting restriction; 2. If the band shifts from normal movement of the body, it can shift the fluid inside the band, thus dictating the restriction; 3. Restriction can be tighter during certain times of the day. Mornings are tighter, less restriction in the evening; 4. Restriction can vary against different factors: stress, hormonal changes, or something simple like a full bladder, ect 5. Finally the band works differently per fill per individual, (each person's fill amount varies, even with the same size band) Having restriction of 3.0cc and a band that holds 4cc I may very well be at my "sweet spot". It was not till I got to 3.0, that I was better able to understand the restriction better. Before, I was hitting and missing and like others did not understand the restriction. Finally, restriction can be affected if you eat and drink at the same time or over eat......the pouch is streched and may feel like you have no restriction. (thank God, I have not experienced this problem) The fills from my experience is the key to the success of the band. After a fill, you must pay close attention to what YOUR body is saying: after meals, when you eat eat certain foods, getting up in the mornings. This is the beauty of the band, it does something different in all of us. It's like having a customized tool!! I am excited about learning the process of how the band works. There is no one right answer on "restriction" it varies per person! Learn your band, and in doing so, we can learn something new from you. Monet
