  1. Most definitely. This forum has become family.
  2. I only told my parents, my husband and kids, and 3 friends. I don't want to tell others just yet, especially my brother who thinks he is all it. I don't want the negative comments of "well if you would just eat less, or workout at the gym or do this or that" they aren't overweight and don't struggle like I do and it is very discouraging for people to tell you what you should and shouldn't be doing or how you should live. So poo on them. I'm here for me and this forum has actually became my surrogate family. SO THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR ALL THAT YOU DO AND SAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. WAY TO GO!!!! Blazn keep up the awesome job.
  4. We are all here for you and are CHEERING you on!!! Please hang in there and allow us to help calm and support you. 17 pounds in a month is a huge success regardless of what Dr. Miranda said. What diet plan are you currently on? Maybe it needs to be tweaked a little more to be more of a benefit to you. Getting the band was the best thing I ever did and now that you have made the same choice I want to help. Smile babe we all care and love ya.
  5. If you go to my albums I posted 2 pics. but they have healed alot since these. good luck ladies!!
  6. GREAT JOB!!!! Keep going and keep us posted.

  9. my only advice is PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!! we all care about you and want this to work. Keep us posted on your progress. Best wishes
  10. WOW!!! Keep up the great work. I love to see all the inspirational photos.
  11. the post op diet is clear liquids for 21 days. You add drinkable yogurt then creamy soups around day 7 and 11. Are you getting banded at OCC? If so Dr. Miranda will give you all this as well. Good luck
  12. Scared, its good to hear from you. Enjoy your day of food, I know I will. Cream of Wheat is also good and they come in various flavors now. Keep us posted.
  13. Nebsmom and Ute, please hang in there. I know it is hard, today is my first day to eat a real meal since being banded. Walking really helps with the gas as does the phayzme. Ute try sleeping with a flat pillow under one side so you aren't tossing from a completely flat position this helped me. Good luck ladies keep us posted.
  14. I am Lora, I'm 36 soon to be 37. I was born and raised in Denver, CO and moved to Goodyear, AZ about 4 years ago. I moved to open a charter school with my boss/friend. When he was let go I switched careers and am now an LPN. I will be going on for my RN (soon). I have 3 children Garren 16, Logan 13 and Katherine12. My husband Scott and I will celebrate 18 years of marriage on Sept. 1ST. I am a huge cook and baker, but my eating issue is from eating out (all those cheap fastfood mexican restaurants...lmao). Oh yeah I have 2 dogs Logan (yes a dog and a kid with the same name, kid was first dog was already named...lol) and Lucky......Lucky I don't leave him elsewhere just kidding, he is actually my cuddle buddy. I love reality shows as well as crime drama...any law and order regardless of how many times I've seen it and yes I mourned when Jerry Orbach died and am now depressed that Jesse L. Martin has left but I will survive...I know I need help bad...lmao
  15. I like Isopure Zero Carb with 50g of protein....it comes in several flavors like apple melon (my favorite), pineapple, orange banana, icy orange, fruit punch, cookies n cream, strawberry n cream...these are just a few....I like it more as the juice version rather than a cream version like slim fast. It just mixes with water. I get mine at Vitamin Shoppe, but I know GNC and Vitamin World also sell it as does the internet. Good luck
  16. remember weight loss is just not on the scale. do your clothes fir different? don't get too discouraged as the saying goes you did nt put all the weight on in 6 weeks, so don't expect to take it all of in 6 weeks....I know I know I hate the saying too but it is true. Start with making better choices for yourself and try and relax don't stress. We are all here for you. keep us posted......HUGS!!!!
  17. I like the Isopure Zero Carb...It comes in several flavors and you mix with water. Stats are 210 Calories, 1g of Total Fat, 0 Carbs, 0 Sugars, and 50g of 100% Ion Exchange Whey (milk) Protein....for a 12 oz glass. My favorite so far is the Apple Melon. Good luck and keep us posted.
  18. Well I scheduled my first fill for Thursday May 15th. It's right at the 5 week mark, but I start school the following week and won't be able to go until the end of August otherwise. I am more nervous about this appointment than the actual surgery...lmao
  19. deparis, I think alot may depend on exactly what area you work in as well. ER can be crazy...lol Your body will tell you but most importantly you need to listen to it. Congrats on your new and upcoming life. Keep us posted.
  20. It's recommended that you give up caffeine. However Dr. Miranda doesn't want you going through withdrawls at the same time that you are doing your 3 week post op. Can you cut back to 1 cup? Keep us posted and best of luck
