  1. Don't chew gum if you swallow :P

My big fear is gum... I know that sounds silly but I am a chronic gum swallower.... I have never been able to break it, I chew it for like 5-10 min. and then I swallow it... I am so scared that I will forget not to have gum and it will get stuck... I plan on talking to Dr. O about this when I get banded on July 1... Oh my gosh less than a week.... woooooh.....

Good to know that popcorn is ok...

  2. Jim,

Please email me your doctor's name and let me know how much the cost is!

    Nashville is close for me.

I have found a Dr. to do my fills in Nashville, Tn. So, I will not have to drive 200 miles for a fill. This Dr is only 45 miles from my house. And with today's gas prices plus the time savings, this is why I am so excited!!!!! My first fill will be August 13.
  3. Laffin, Tammy doesn't trust us Bill!! Note her being open to "almost anything!"

I'm in for whatever - picnic Saturday for lunch; riverboat cruise for dinner sounds! We will probably stay in Chattanooga for the night as well.

I don't know what September will bring so any weekend will be good for us and we'll just plan around it.

I am in for September and Chattanooga as well. The Riverboat thing sounds cool, but I am open to anything....well almost anything! :D
  4. A bandster from another forum turned me on to Walden Farm's salad dressings. He said he ate tuna mixed with Walden Farm's dressing for lunch every day. He's lost over 100 pounds :)

I found some at Kroger's grocery store in the produce section. There are several to choose from. 0 calories, 0 fat, 0 sugars. WOWZA!

Believe it or not, the one I tried is great! I bought Ranch and mixed it in my tuna and it was good!!!!

They have many products to offer. Check em out!

I bought the Starkist Chunk Light Tuna 3 oz. packet (20 g. protien) and mixed it with just a little salad dessing and am having a hard time eating it all. RESTRICTION IS HERE!?

    So, try Walden Farms!

Also try South Beach High Protien Breakfast Bars (peanut butter is good) - 10 g protien!

  5. Wow , way to go CedarTown ....... Kudos...... you of course know that if you do fall off the wagon for even 32 seconds that you better keep it a secret, right? Cuz we're watching you :P

I spent around 11k total with plane tickets etc. for my band. There was no way in hell i was gonna cheat in the first 21 days.

I've ate 2 bites of dessert since being on solid food.Sugar free apple pie.It wasn't even good.

I went from drinking 50-100 beers a week to zero.So no,i don't feel like i have cheated the band.

  6. Good for you Hope :) Hope you have a great surgery experience. I cannot wait to welcome you to Bandland!

Hello everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself. I am new to the forum and wanted to let you know that I decided to go through with the surgery because of all of the positive feedback that I read on this forum. The support you share for one another is a huge benefit. I have support from my family, but they are all skeptical that I chose to have the surgery done in Mexico. My surgery is scheduled for July 25th. Anyone else going around this time?

    Hope to hear from yall.

  7. Hi and welcome to bandland!!!!!!

So I have to admit that I have been kind of secretly reading all of everything.....and all of you have been quite a big help I started reading ....and with your help had surgery...and had support during bandhell  ...I'm about 18 days post op..and have started eating soilids....ahhh I know I know band might slip..or stitches might rip....but has it really ever happened to anyone?

Anyway thanks for all your help**** nice to meet you!!!

  8. Actually, I swear I saw cedartown at the all-you-can-eat buffet. I snapped a photo for evidence! If anyone is interested in seeing the photo, send me a private message :P

I agree it was great meeting everybody. Of course I've read posts by all on the forum, private messaged some and have chatted quite a bit with my buddy willT, but it was super cool to meet my fellow bandsters along with their spouses in person.

    Interesting, that as bandsters it's so easy to bond. I just loved everybody! {{{{GROUP HUG}}}}

I'm glad to see George online but have to admit that it skeers me to imagine Larry online ..... with his jokes!!!!!! Was also glad that Tammy gave me her real cell phone number AND actually answered her phone when I called her :P And Ute, she's my girl :) ... and yes for those who are wondering, I still have a crush on willT!

Ute, the "lady" got us home okay ... I think Larry is having an affair with her :P

I say we definitely get together again soon. It will be fun to see each other's progress! Let's figure a good half way point for all of us and have a picnic before cold weather sits in. Bring the kidlets too. - I'll bring the "chat beer!"

    Love ya all!
