Welcome to Bandland
I had that lump and was wrapped as well. I turned black and blue so don't be alarmed if you start bruising.

Happy Birthday Denise!
-
Welcome to the forum Christine!!!!!
-
Congrats on your weight loss Denise ....
I told you I just cannot do scrambled eggs. I can eat bacon but not eggs - strange!
I love fajitias so I'm coming to your house for dinner!
-
Sending you lots of hugs and well wishes
Hope all goes well today - your "supportive" buddies are thinking about you!
Ok, so I couldn't resist
-
I think I'm going to stick to what I've been doing (since it's worked): eat my protien first, then veggies, then fruits, then carbs.
-
What a vision!
I thought I would give an update, and at the same time co-link this with Alana's thread on "Negative Posts"Thanks to all of your positive support and encouragement, I am down another half-pound this morning... I'm lower than I've been in ~ 7 years... And I am not quite two weeks after my second fill.
(Thinking about mud wrestling lisa and dawnie has helped )
-
I was told no food for 8 hours before fill. No water for 4 hours before fill.
After fill, day 1 - warm liquids; day 2 - cold liquids; and day 3 - full liquids (or something close to this!)
Jena, if you've already booked OCC, and have tickets, you might consider just trying extra harder watching what you eat - there's not much time between July 12 and August 1.
Good Luck either way
I have the pre fill instructions here somewhere but i haven't looked closely but i think it's 8 hours before with no food & only liquids for 24 hours after fills in Roswell.Remember,Georgia is an hour ahead of us.

Luke,
First of all, are you married?? (just checking for our Neeters!).....
Second, you look great... okay, you look awesome! Great work.
Third, what a wonderful thing for you to be able to do - meet your sister after so many years. I'm so glad you found each other!
Thanks for sharing your photos and your story.
-
Yes, your weight loss seems normal to me.
Just keep up the good work. And don't weigh daily
-
I have read where many people recommend the Muscle Milk protien shakes. They sound yummie!
Good luck you firecracker bander, you!
-
Wishing you good restriction
-
And I'm younger than Will T, so I won't be much help either
I have what I feel is good restriction now. Restriction feels different to me than what I thought it would. It almost feels like a brick is in the middle of my chest and that's my signal to stop eating. I don't feel anything in my "stomach." I thought I would feel an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach - like one would feel when they ate two plates at Thanksgiving dinner and had to unbutton their bluejeans. I don't feel like that at all.
I didn't have good restriction with the first fill as you know, but went to Roswell for my second fill last Sunday and have been doing good so far.
I'm only 24, so I won't be much help here.I defer to the experts here, sweetie. I feel a lot of restriction right now, and i'm almost on all liquids just to get in food. If this happens much longer, I'll have a little withdrawn from my band.
banded 7/2/08 sorry the othe post was on someone

Dianna - was that you who had the "bump"
First of all, welcome to bandland Hip Hip Horray!!!! Hip Hip Horray!!!!
Second, I replied to the other post - I had the bump at my port site too. It felt like a baseball. I was at the hotel and Dr. Martinez came over and looked at it. I went back to the clinic and was wrapped in gauze and rode home safely on the plane that way. It was a hematoma. I was also given some antibiotics.
The bump started to bruise and then the bruise was bigger. If you remind next time we're talking, I'll send you a photo of my belly. I used the bruising to my advantage. I'd raise up my shirt to get sympathy. It worked! It did not hurt but it hurt to look at it.
Glad you're doing well! Miss ya and hope to "see" ya soon banded-one!
