Wow - we were at Roswell this Saturday too (me, banded4life, Jena, lealove). Where were you!?

It was great seeing Tammy (Banded4Life) and George again. Also great to meet Jena (pronounced Jeana!!) and LeaLove (Shannon).

Ute was unable to make it because her friend was taken to the E.R. and she had to help out with the kids. Ute and John, we'll definitely catch you next time. We missed you. We also missed WillT and Sus.

I do what Julie does too - tuna packet - easy, not so expensive 98 cents - no mess, no leftovers. I drizzle some Walden Farms dressing over my tuna - really makes it tasty. I also chew on a few veggies: either carrot sticks or sugarsnap peas. Past two months, I also have a couple of strawberries. Not sure what fruit I will have once strawberries aren't available

When I go out to lunch I have Arby's chicken salad wrap - and eat half. Has apples, chicken, and pecans or walnuts in it. Tastes great.

I have the VG band. I've had three fills:

First Fill: May 23 (can't remember exact date) - OCC - 4.2 cc

Second Fill: June 22 - Roswell Fill Center - she got all my 4.2 back and filled me up to 7.6 cc

Third Fill: August 15 - Roswell Fill Center - she got back 7.4 and filled me up to 8.2 cc

I better be at my sweet spot, otherwise, I'm going to run out of capacity! I'm going to assume that my stomach itself is skinny! <laffin>

When you eat more than 1/3 of what you normally would eat pre banding! I am eating way more than 1/3 and am heading to Roswell for an adjustment.

I went back to OCC for my first fill and had my second (and soon my third) at Roswell. I would recommend going to Roswell FillCenter for your fills.

I went for my fills to Roswell from the beginning. I figured, the first fill is a bit on the pricy side, but still about the same than going to TJ (package + flight) BUT I'm only 45 min. from home - if there should feel something not right.

After the first fill it get's less expensive. I love Darlene (NP) she is really great giving fills !!!!

Gosh I never have time to be bored. Up at 6:30 a.m. and to the office by 8 a.m. Home between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., then dinner, activites, CHORES ....... and religiously check the forum and my emails ohhh and chat but I haven't had time for chat lately

But in my spare time I take photos, work on digital scrapbook pages and am now learning how to use a writing tablet for the computer - pretty neat so far....

We're repainting the house, room by room - and moving the furniture from one room to another is a big process but then there's redecorating

I am losing hair too but am not sure why. I am eating quite a bit - more than I should. Getting a lot of protien - eating meats and cheeses.

I lost 10 lbs. since my fill but am sure I gained 5 of it back - slipped back into my old eating habits this past month with all the stress...

Lori is checking with the OCC good doctors and is going to give us a some weekends when they might be available to participate and we'll go from there. She will also see if they would be willing to have a fill/adjustment special during that weekend.

If it doesn't look like they can participate, maybe we'll move it to Vegas baby!

Sure they can only zoom whiten you to match the color of the fillings - so if your fillings aren't BRIGHT WHITE, then don't expect your teeth will be when finished.

Hello All!!

I was thinking about getting the Zoom whitening done while I'm at the OCC for my first fill. I have fillings in my front teeth and my dentist matched the color to my teeth. My teeth aren't extemely yellow, but I'm worried that the fillings may "stick out" after whitening. Has anyone else had the procedure with fillings? Was there a big difference in the color of the fillings and your teeth? I appreciate your feed back, thanks!! > Darlene

I have had two fills. I felt restriction immediately after the fill was performed but that feeling soon went away. Too soon!

I am scheduled for my third fill now. And I have a feeling - this one is it

I made my appointment for August 16. My time is 1:40 p.m. They said they still have some openings.

I believe the cost for fill with fluoro is a few bucks under $300.00

Hello, I had my surgery in Sept of 2007. At first I didn't lose much with my first fill. I have now lost 115lbs so far. I still have about 50 more to lose. When your band isn't so new and you have had a couple more fills, you may be suprised at the lose of weight. At least that has been my experence. Hope you do well, Loretta :lb11:
