Just to point out how tricky fills are, I met a gal at the Roswell FillCenter who told me that four months after her fill, she had to have an emergency unfill.
-
My second fill was a good one at Roswell but I think I may need another. No real weight loss in the past 2.5 weeks but then again, I had a family emergency and convenience foods and stress eating might have sabotaged weight loss.
I do plan to head back to Roswell when I make the decision to get my third fill.
You can talk to us in chats - someone usually logs on around 9:00 p.m.
I'm on vacation right now - am in D.C. (worn out from sightseeing). Going to see the Amish tomorrow and then head to upstate NY. My son and his girlfriend seem to be enjoying theirselves. I'm looking for snacks
Hope to chat with you soon!
Hey girl,I have been vacating on the beach. I now only look like a beached baby whale. haha How the heck are you doing? How's the weight loss coming? Has your fill helped? I love my Dr. in Murfreesboro. Eventhough it's not real close (2.5 hrs) it's an easy drive and a lot closer to tj. But they don't have any zebras there!
I have missed talking with everyone and trying to keep up with all of you. Send me an email so we can talk...."can we talk here"?
hugs, hugs

EVERYONE IS WELCOME :) THE MORE THE MERRIER!!!!!! Your bandfriends will be your friends forever Through THICK and THIN!
Hey guys, I wasn't banded by the OCC, but if possible I would like to attend Band Camp! -
Emailed Lori to get all dates that good docs and OCC staff would be available to participate in our get together - i.e. attend a formal dinner on a Saturday night among other things.
Will keep you all posted!
Get your planning hats on. We'll call a Band Camp Meeting after we get a response from Lori! It's not that far off you know
-
Yes I remember and hopefully you remember, you were nominated for the Band Camp Committeeeeeeee!!!!!!
Hey Dawnie,I know you probably remember, but I live in San Diego. So if you need any help with anything, just let me know. I will try to assist in the best way I can. HOW FRIGGIN EXCITING!! I get to see all my buddies again, AND meet the ones I have not met yet! W00t!

Everyone knows about my band, including the FedEx, UPS and DHL guys that deliver to my office.
I told just about everybody that I know and apparently they told people they don't even know by name

Congrats on a good post of visit and the weight loss WTG!

Sounds like a bit of gas pain to me and please don't eat solids .......
Hunger Pain!!!!! Fight it
Soups were very filling to me. Try you some Soup at Hand Creamy Tomato just as soon as you hit the creamy soup stage.
You can do it!! GOOD LUCK.

I bought the splenda pill pack to carry in my purse too, but it takes about 8 to get a tea sweetened the way I like it
I only like Splenda. I bought the new little pill pack to put in my purse because I found that some places do not carry it. I hate Sweet N Low, to me there is a weird taste to it. -
We're closing the poll for our lapband get together to be held sometime next February/March/April. San Diego won but not by a wide margin.
It's going to be hard to be able to schedule this get together when everyone is available. First, let's get some dates from Lori when she, the good docs, and the rest of the OCC staff can attend a Saturday night dinner with us. Then, after we get those dates, we will try to take a short poll for dates.
Open to suggestions!!!!!!

We are all going to be different and need a different number of fills than the other.
I can say that you will be pleased with Fill Center. I was!
GOOD LUCK!!!

I'd say Shannon was REALLY LOOPY ....
Come on, who dreams about Martha Stewart unless they are on really good drugs
Love ya Shannon!!!!
So glad your surgery went well and I have been waiting over a month to type this to you:
WELCOME TO BANDLAND!!!!
-
Ramona,
I am finding out that my restriction comes and goes - when I least expect it. After being banded since April 4, I recently experienced PBing. My last fill was June 22 - almost a month ago and the past three nights I've been too tight and can't get or keep anything down.
Stress? Definitely. PMSing? Definitley brought on by the stress.

TOMATO PIE (SMACK YER GRANNY!)
1 9 inch ready made pie crust
2 LARGE ripe tomatoes, sliced thin, salted, and drained
1 medium onion, sliced thin
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
3/4 cup mayonnaise
Bake pie crust in oven for about 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven. <- IMPORTANT STEP TO BAKE PIE SHELL, DONT SKIP!
Put thinly sliced onions in bottom of pie crust
Then layer (DRAINED) sliced tomatoes over onions <- IMPORTANT TO DRAIN THE TOMATOES FIRST
Mix cheeses and mayo, add black pepper.
Pour cheese mixture over tomatoes, spread.
Bake pie in 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.
YOU *WILL* SMACK YOUR GRANNY FOR A PIECE OF THIS PIE
There are other versions on the net but this is the recipe that was given to me which I tried today. YUMMMMIE. It's full of protein and the healthiest pie I've ever eaten
Enjoy!

I was a diet coke junkie, having started to drink it about 16 years ago. I had to have my diet coke every morning (I don't drink coffee) on my way to work. I'd sip on it throughout the morning. Go to lunch and have either a diet coke or a glass of coke (depended on how the ice was made!). A total freak.
I had some problems about five years ago with bones aching and being tired. A doc suggested to me that it may be the aspartame in the diet coke, so I quit drinking diet coke and switched to regular coke. I did feel better.
I quit drinking "Coke" (diet or regular) when I started my pre op diet. I'm saving a lot of money not buying those bottles of Diet Coke in the morning (1.38 bottle) and saving money on cokes at lunch ($1.79 glass) PLUS I feel better. Sure, I have the cravings for a COKE (but in my neck of the woods, a Coke could also be a root beer). I did have a root beer float one day and felt awful afterwards. My tummy hurt all night long.
So, you can survive without the diet coke because I am surviving And I truly was the FREAK

I told many of the hard pressuring Mexican salesmen that I will come back after I had a chance to look around and was told "Yeah that's what my wife said and I haven't seen her in over a year!"
