  1. Shannon!!!! I told you to stay away from the donkeys Glad you made it to TJ safely and I'm assuming you're being a good banddaughter and are doing your coursework. Hope you found time to enjoy the pool today. We're thinking about you and can't wait to get a phone call after you have your surgery and you're all LOOPY Love ya! BANDMOM
  2. Dr. Martinez told me to crush my pills. He had me on antibiotics for two weeks and instructions were to crush them. Also said if I was going to take a pain reliever, it needed to be liquid or crushed. So be careful with pills.
  3. For those of you who are considering plastic surgery or think with future weight loss, might need plastic surgery, here's a slideshow I found on the net: http://www.shaping-futures.com/content/bac...our_surgery.pdf
  4. Congratulations Your son is a pretty good photographer too!
  5. Neeters, Well if I must .... I had one tiny baby donut hole. Chewed it up real good but apparently not good enough! That happened in the morning. Then, about 8 hours later on I PB'd on water. So strange. I've decided this is temporary and am not too worried about it. No more donut holes for me
  6. Mona, My 2nd fill was at a Fill Center USA. They instructed me to be on 3 days of liquid. Day 1. Warm liquids Day 2. Add cold liquids Day 3. Full liquids (or something like this!) I'm crossing my fingers you have a good fill! Keep us posted.
  7. Luke, I don't notice anything. What did I miss?? JOKE! You look great
  8. Aha, today I had my first PBing episode. Not thrilled about it, but did wonder why everyone had PB'd at least once and I never have. So today I joined the club. Wasn't terribly painful but the food definitely looks better going down than it does coming up
  9. Welcome to the forum :)

  10. Shannon, Your surgery date is getting closer!!! Was thinking of you tonight. I'm excited for you
  11. Every since I had my second fill, I have had the hiccups whenever I eat something and it gets stuck. This usually happens when I eat bread. I take a bite (sometimes it just takes one small bite) and I can feel it get stuck and then immediately I begin to hiccup. The hiccuping doesn't last very long and sometimes I start eating again - but leave out the bread! The joke is that everyone in my office knows if I'm eating something I shouldn't be (bread) when they hear me hiccup!
  12. Welcome to the forum Hope to get to know you and your band!
  13. Welcome to the forum Granny No eating everything in sight!!!!!
  14. Was it you I was chatting with last night?

Was it really LisaL that were were chatting with?

Is Shannon really who she says she is :)

  15. I had my first fill at the OCC 6 weeks after surgery. I felt restriction maybe for one week. I went to Fill Center USA 5 weeks after my first fill, and was given a helluva fill. Nearly double of what I was given on my first. I have no idea how it works. I appreciate the OCC being cautious with my first fill. I wouldn't have wanted to return home and ended up in the E.R. getting an emergency unfill with a cost to me of about $5,000! I do know that as you lose weight, you might need additional fills. And also heard that the VG band might require more fills than the smaller band. The more weight you have the lose, there's a possiblity you'll need more fills than somone who has only 40 lbs. to lose. I'm a firm believer that the lap band works in the background. You'll hear many of us (I'm guilty too) say we have no restriction and that we're losing weight because of what we're doing, not because of the band. The band's just not slapping us in the face all the time. It is working but we have to work with it.
  16. I was told you need a fill if you are no longer losing weight and have no restriction.
