    Honestly I had a hard time following the rules when it came to lifting. I have a toddler....she can't get into her car seat by her self....I really had no chice but to hold her...I also had to lift my suitcase into the trunk...kwim..Just take it easy and if you feel tugging STOP

    I go for my first fill on July 11th. How much (cc) does he usually give for the 1st fill and what type of payments does he accept? (I’m not sure if I need to bring cash with me) Thanks Heather

    I’m 26 days post op…I’m starving….have zero restriction because I haven’t had a fill yet, and could (if I choose to) eat endless amounts? Well if it is bandster hell….it’s highly depressing! Tell me it will be ok and I will be a happy band lover after my fills start happening! Heather

    FUN!!!! It's all done! Congrats! The groups that had surgery on the same day as me were so awesome, it made a world of difference being around such fantastic people!!

    WHAT???????? Is there no warrenty? Then what’s the point of having them doing any fills? Responsibility needs to be taken on their behalf if it a faulty port. That totally sucks!!!!!!

    cmarie, I've been having a similar problem...Ever since I was 1 week post op I’ve had this feeling of something stuck in my throat that doesn't go away and I'm still on liquids, I'm on day 18 and it's still there...better but still there a bit. I found the quickest response is via email. Dr Ortiz says some people are sensitive enough that they actually feel the band...it will get better but also may need meds if it doesn't. I know how annoying it is I hope it resolves on its own...good luck!

    Nice to meet you!!! I'm Heather from Calgary, there are alot of Canadians on this site. I have had a wonderful experiance with the OCC, I was banded on May 29th, I still have a long way to go but so far so good.

    Thnak you sooo much, how about your Post op deit. I'd imagine you are on liquids right now...do you have a mushy stage?

    What is your post op diet? The differences in Doctors recommendations can vary so much...just wondering...please share. Thanks Heather Disclaimer: I will and have not swayed from my recommended liquid diet….lol

    Good for you!!! That is great! I'm kinda freaking out to tell my doctor. When I did talk to her she told me that she would not reccomend this surgery but would support me if I decided this is what I wanted to so...It's still going to be hard...Ykwim!

    I felt ok the day after but when I got home I felt like a train wreck for the first week, forsure. Take care of your self it will get better soon!...Promise!!! Day 7 day my day!
