    Time is going by sooo fast...I've been having major anxiety....I've never been like this before lol. It must be a good sign! I sooo friggin hungry today. My husband made my kids Kraft Dinner for lunch today and I wanted some sooo bad but refrained . Good Luck!!!!!!!!!, Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

    It's funny you mention that. I had a bit more then usual diet soda yesterday and I stepped on the scale and I'm up a 1/2 pound too. I think I'm going to try drinking water today, I think the pop is helping with retaining water. When is your surgery...I'm down on May 29th...Good luck fellow Calgarian!

    I’m wondering what would cause a surgery to be postponed? Lets say you get a bladder or sinus infection last minute and need to be put on antibiotics , would this be a good enough reason to postpone? Just curious….I get paranoid! BTW i don't have either but I've been known to get bladder infections out of the blue.

    Thanks guys!!!! Is the group you are referring to is CalgaryLapbanders, I read the emails religiously, but I haven't been participating as much as I'd like. I would love to meet up with everyone!!! That would be so much fun! I'll see if I can get a sitter.....my husband works ridiculous hours so I can't count on him! Thanks for the reminder!!!!!!!!!!!!     How far in advance did you need to book for fills from Dr. Descoutoeux? Also did you need him to take you on as a patient or can you just call for fills? I’m not sure how to get the ball rolling with him Thanks so much! Heather

    Oh yes, I'm going down to OCC to have my surgery done...I haven't been doing the diet Dr M sent through I've been following a similar one but not as strick...I'm losing weight so I figure that will suffice. I'm already down 9 lbs of the 10 I need to lose. Thanks for the well wished. Who will be doing your fills in Calgary? Heather

    If you are dieting and losing weight does it really matter if you are following the listed pre-op diets? I am losing weight and I am restricting myself but I wouldn't say I am following Dr. M's diets to a T. I would say mine is a liitle more lenient. It's week 1 and I'm already down 9 lbs. What do you think??? Surgery Date is May 29th

    I did a wire transfer for my balance late Friday. I emailed Rene the receipt and he said he would get back to me when it come in. Anyone go this route? how long did it take? I panic when things do go in exact order of opperation (I know, it's a illness..lol)

    I'm from Calgary, I didn't bother with getting involved with the weight managment program cuz I knew I would probably wouldn't get accepted or it would take forever SO here I am waiting for my surgery on May 29th. GOOD LUCK!!!

    Me too! Today has been hell for me. I’m starving! But the protein drinks make me want to puke……they are soooo nasty! So I’ve only had 1 today and that’s all.

    Day 1 on pre-op diet and I'm feeling the pain...ykwim!!! Tell me what you ate for your 1st meal...I'm sure it will make me feel better.

    Can they recommend anyone to you?....I'd ask their office if you got your fills elsewhere if there were ever a reson and you NEEDED a unfill would they do it for you? For emergency cases only. I wonder if they would do that for you? For fills you could go to the US.

    Hi!!!! Nope not banded yet, May 29th. I am going to see Dr Descateaux for fills. I am sooo glad there are Dr's here that have no problems doing Mexico patients. Did you have any problems getting in? I'm wondering if I should make an appt with him prior to leaving? It's sooo nice to meet a fellow Calgarian!! Heather

    I'm sure I've read in other fourms that Dr Woodhead does Ortiz patients. I'm from Calgary and was researching alot of Dr's before I chose Dr Ortiz
