What did you need from the OCC for Dr DesCouteux to do your fills? I’ve been trying to get a surgery report but it seems no one wants to send it to me. Also I’ve been trying to get a receipt so I can claim it for a rebate but no one wants to send that as well…ugh….I’ve sent a email off to Claudia asking and Andrew (medical edge) has been requesting it too but nothing…How did you get yours? And how long did it take? Thanks This is getting frustrating! Heather

I am 2 weeks post op and for the past week I’ve been having this issue…..it constantly fells like something is stuck in my throat, every time I swallow it feels like a knot kwim…..although I am just on liquids right now. I’ve been emailing Dr Ortiz explaining my situation and he said that some people are sensitive enough that they can feel their band…hummmm. He says it usually resolves it’s self within a few weeks but I may need medication until the esophagus get accustom to the band. I hope it goes away soon, I try and ignore it but sometimes it drives me mad!

I'm on the creamy soup stage

I am drinking liquids and drinking soup all day long, am I over doing it?

Just think...the band was just getting warmed up...that was just the appetizer, there are bigger things to come! WTG!!!

hahahaha...I'm on day 11 post op and my husband has been reminding me that if I'm feeling up for it he will be right there for me...lol...Yah, I am too paranoid to me engaging in any activity for at least another week or so. poor guy!!!

Everything I do (controlled or not) makes me nervous that something will happen to the band. Hiccup to hard, cough, sneeze, cat step on port, child hanging off my neck, specks in cream soup too speckie. Every little thing makes me freak that I f’d something up (slip or stretch pouch). Kwim. Is the band really that delicate. I feel like I’m walking on egg shells with my own body, I swear I didn’t think it would be like this. Oh crap now I’m complaining lol Heather

Also Yesterday I started my creamy soup stage (Broccoli and cheese) It had specks of broccoli in it and after 5 bites I felt like something was stuck in my throat when I swallowed….well that feeling is STILL there and it’s been a whole day. I’ve put an email out to Dr Ortiz and I’m waiting for his reply…..has this happened to anyone before? This feeling is horrible...no pain just uncomfortable Thanks Heather

I made cream of broccoli for lunch (pre made Safeway stuff) I avoided any chucks and just had the cream part with specks of broccoli and it feels stuck…WTF…It kinda hurts.

I'm 5 days post op and I can't get away from lifting my 2 year old and doing basic stuff like groceries, is this bad? am I going to rip something? Is that port sewed down good?.....ahhhhhhhhh freaking!!!!!!!!!!

I have not had a fill yet and newly banded and I'm trying to get this sipping part down.....I'm finding it difficult to sip instead of drinking normal. Thanks Heather

Has been horrible for a week now (I don’t usually get anxiety)…it’s to the point where I feel like I can’t breathe kwim. What can I do to chill out? I’m getting banded on May 29th by Dr Ortiz....Why am I freaking out soo bad?
